Hi Snood.

Yes, I´m sure. If possible I allways direct things I install to C:/Program. No specific reason, just something I do.

What operating system do you use?

After you made a reinstall instead of an upgrade you probably need to tell your operating system or antivirus to allow SpadeEye.
As your database is properly configured (the paths are correct), it looks like SpadeEye has not the right to read from the PokerTracker folder...
So maybe your firewall or antivirus or admin flag for SpadeEye is missing?

I´m using XP Proffessional.
Checked out my firewall settings and SpadeEye was checked as it should be. My antivirus is Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic. I haven´t told that program what sites to allow, I get a warning when Avira finds something it doesn´t like.

Maybe I should delete SpadeEye from my system and reinstall it again and e-mail you for a new registration code? Or do you have any other ideas??

Thats worth a try:

1) Uninstall SpadeEye
2) Go to your windows directory (usually C:\Windows), and delete the file "Partygrabber.ini"
(pretty much settings are saved in this file, too...)
3) Reinstall and reconfigure

I will upload an Upgrade pack in a few minutes.

If you don't want to wait just install the full version,
but your color profiles will get lost if you install the new version over the old.

Telescope already supports tableselection for Hold'em and Omaha games on PokerStars.
Telescope does not, and will not, support datamining on PokerStars.

hi, i need some guidance on how to operate SpadeEye.
1) why is it when ever i do i scan all tables action and it finishes, the tables in the top part of the SpadeEye screen disappear?
2) what exactly does datamining mean and what does it do.
02-18-2008 , 07:55 AM
another quick question, is there any good instruction on how to set up datamining with SpadeEye.

2) what exactly does datamining mean and what does it do.
1) After the scan your SpadeEye filter gets applied.
If all tables disappear after the scan then it looks like no tables meet the criteria you specified in the SpadeEye filter.
You most likely have the "advanced" or "overall" tablefilter activated in SpadeEye.
Disable or edit them.

2) Datamining describes the process of gathering data about your opponents without playing.
SpadeEye helps to datamine PartyPoker and FullTiltPoker.
All you need to do is to configure the "General", "Limits", "open" and "close tables" tabs in the options (see http://www.spadeit.com/guide.php#general).

Once configured you can run the datamining by going to "datamining"->"start complete automatic".
SpadeEye will then open/close the tables automatically for you, retrieve the handhistory files and save them to it's "destination directory".
You only need to take care about importing these files into your database.

so would i be able to save the data in any file or should i save it in the same file pokertracker imports the data from.?

and how would i go by importing the hands into pokertracker and how often should i do it?

Yes.

What site do you want to use this (PartyPoker or FullTiltPoker)?

You can ignore the SpadeEye "destination directory" when using with FullTilt, because the PokerTracker autoimport will find the files...

You should use the following settings for datamining PartyPoker:
- "Destination directory" should be set to "[...]PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory".
- Extension should be set to "txt".
With this setting the Pokertracker autoimport should be able to find the correct files.

Just a small note:
Do not use SpadeEye version 2.66.
It has a critical bug.

Fixed 2.67 is ready for download:

On your website's front page, the URL to Holdem Manager says www.holdemmanger.com, but the correct URL is www.holdemmanager.net.

You can have the PokerTracker autoimport activated while datamining with SpadeEye.

What? Spadeeye doesn't save hands itself... this is like asking if you can run winamp and IE.

At what room (Party or FullTilt)?

If Party:
- Is your SpadeEye "destination directory" set to "[...]PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory"?
- Is the SpadeEye "Extension" set to "txt"?

If FullTilt:
- Is the PokerTracker autoimport configured with the FullTilt Handhistory directory?

hi. my SpadeeEye does not seem to be workng with poker tracker, as when i run a table scan the data (vpip, pfr, etc.) is not showing up against the player i have stats for. I have configured it as the guide says. iv tried changing the filters but nothing is working.

@pureklas

Okay, take a closer look to "main"->"options"->"general" in SpadeEye.

- What exactly have you specified as "destination directory"?

- Run the datamining and observe your destination directory in the windows explorer.
Do you see that the handhistory files are being written?

- Is "act as tableopener only" under "main"->"options"->"general" checked?
(uncheck it)
