Snood: I needed a new key and sent an email in but there has been no response yet (24hours or so?)
06-13-2008 , 07:56 PM
Yes, i was working whole day on new Telescope/SpadeEye and EyePoker versions
I will now take care of emails.
If you don't have your key in 1 hour feel free to PM or email me again please

There is a new DB format for 1.05.10 (beta) which I am running. Are you going to release a new version when that is released?

SpadeEye (and co.) already automatically detects mew HoldemManager format and uses it.
Speed issues should be fixed with new format...

@ all PokerTracker 3 user
Please update to the new SpadeEye 2.77:
http://www.spadeit.com/download.php

I have added an Aggregator Database.
The Aggregator Database is a compression for PokerTracker 3 databases.
It should significantly improve the scanning speed.
See "PT3 Aggregator->update database" for further instructions.

You need to build the Aggregator database via "PT3 Aggregator->update database" before you can use it.

I need your feeback.
Like "It's buggy / still slow / working"...
Thanks in advance

I am building the new database with SpadeEye now. How often do we need to 'refresh' this DB? Does SpadeEye pick up hands that are not in the DB?

Can you explain what this does exactly? is it something we need to do?..

I have tried it on a multi-million FT database, and the scan is AMAZINGLY fast! (Goes from 40 min to under 1 min). So that is a definite success, please add to Telescope as well!

My only wish would be that an "Update" operation would be incremental, so that it would update the Aggregator database with only the hands added to PT3 database since the last update (maybe if there is an import time field or an incremental id in PT3 db that could be used). Since the "Update" operation takes some time and power now instead, if that is possible it would make this completely perfect!

You dont have to use this, only if you feel the scanning is very slow due to you having a large DB with hands. What it does is that it collects the data from the PT3 db into a more compact and optimized format for SpadeEye to use.

SpadeEye will only pick up the hands that are in your database at the time you used "update aggregator databases".

So i guess you can update the database every night, or once a week.
Depends on
- how much hands you import during a day
- how big your database is
- how important the new imported hands are to you
...

It is strongly recommend to use, if your PokerTracker 3 database is pretty big or scanning times are way too slow.

Like when SpadeEye scan needs several seconds/table (e.g. more than 7).
This new method can cut the scanning speed down to approx 2 seconds/table.

Very very useful when you have a multi million hands database...

Will be added in a couple of minutes

Unfortunately i do not see a possibility to update only the last imported hands.
How many hands do you have in your database?
How long did the update take?
As i don't have such a big database, i am curious about what times we are talking about. More like 10 hours or 2?

About 3 million hands I would guess.
Update took about 40-45 mins, so about the same time one scan used to take (and thus become unusable) - I am on a dual core machine with 4gb ram so good machine resources.

Big improvement, even though I still believe an incremental solution should be technically possible - SpadeEye is however now the leading table selection solution! Looking forward to Telescope update.

Probably should add that the update was made when nothing else running, so while running other things it takes longer (rerunning it right now, and about 1 1/2 hour into it while at the same time playing and using PT3).

Wow, I just did the first scan after setting up the aggregate database, and it went very smoothly. Nice job Mr. Snood! Thanks

????

I'm still using 2.75b and I was able to scan 55 tables in just a couple minutes using two different databases and my machine isn't nearly as powerful as yours. Just to try and tilt it a bit, I added a third database bringing the total to over 7M hands and it still only took a couple minutes to scan.

I guess my biggest objection to the aggregator is it sounds like we would need to spend the 40-45mins to update it in order to get current data, right? I'd much rather have current data than a lot of old data even if the scans were faster. We do have the choice whether or not to use this, right Mr Snood?

Correct.

Yes, absolutely. It's optional.
If you do not activate "use aggregator database" in "PT3 Aggregator" then it will not get used.

I'm getting a failed to connect to database popup every now and then with my HM database. It works 90% of the time and then that popup comes up every now and again. I'm running v2.77 of SpadeEye and 1.05.09 of HM. I don't really know what causes it but it's weird that it only does it around once per session, you'd think it'd do it all or never.

Is there a way to get the players/flop stat to show up on the table selection panel?

Or is it already there and I just can't see it?

(I realise it's on the fulltilt window, but it'd be nice having it all in the same place when table selecting)

What to do with .tmp files which I get as a result mining FTP?

Found that Mr Snood quote with 'search this thread' putting in '.tmp' - there are a bunch of other posts on this subject so you might be able to find others that help too.

I cant use this program to mine FTP at all. After 100-200 hands mined my computer freaks out and crashes due to resource errors. Anyone had similar problems like this? I normally run IdleMiner and EyePoker all day long at the same time with no problems but can't even handle a short period of time with FTP.
06-17-2008 , 06:21 PM
wut are some other comparable programs? and why should i choose spadeye over other software? do i need to run this with other softwares ... im just gettin introduced to the poker software and was told this would be a good idea.... does this work with ftp?

Do you probably datamine at the same time?

Or do you just scan from time to time and sometimes this error occurs at the beginning of a scan?

Do you import at the same time hands into your database?

Unfortunately the Player/Flop value is not being retrieved from the lobby.
This will be probably added in a future version, but for now it has low priority.

What kind of database do you use?

PokerTracker / HoldemManager / etc. should be able to import these tmp files - if configured correct.
