Also, snood, could you explain how the new mining feature works? It freezes everytime I use it and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.
Well, the new mining feature works like this:
1) Scan all tables
2) Sort by "#Reads" column (Ascending)
3) Open top X tables
4) Datamine them for 15 minutes
5) Close all tables and get back to step 1)

So it probably freezes in step 1, the scanning, at you?
What kind of database do you use?
What pokerroom do you try to datamine?

Yes, this must be a bug
Anyone else experienced this?
I suggest you to restart SpadeEye after you stopped the new "Semi Smart" datamining.
I will fix this for the next version.

Yes, Telescope is independant from SpadeEye and requires its own license.

Yeah, that work-around worked fine. But killing the 15-minute timer shouldn't be too hard in the program

Help Me please!

My spadeye keeps crashing. I have used it for ages, with no problems.

With v2.70 and Holdem manager (huge db- prolly 10 Million hands+), and party poker.

Just using it as a tablescanner, so it is not opening and closing tables.

I am using the datacacheing feature.

But, it just stops and freezes a third of the way through a scan of the open tables, and never gets through!

I can close SE down, and restart it, and once again, it will scan the first few tables, then just freeze.

I upgraded to the most recent version, 2.71, and the same problem persists.

Sometimes, (once in a blue moon) it works perfectly, and i havent done anything different than when it wasnt working!

Help me please, i love my SE, but its driving me bonkers!

Any ideas from anyone

ps- the computer has a ton of ram, hard drive, etc, and this still happens when i am one tabling, and I havent done anything computer wise that could muck things up
05-31-2008 , 03:09 PM
WOW! You stated EVERYTHING I always wanted to say and got no answers. I have ALL the same problems and a high end computer as well with 3G of RAM and I too get very annoyed by the stalls. Usually, when it stalls, it will finish but sometimes can take like 10-15 minutes!! Don't know why! Other times, it's very fast.
05-31-2008 , 11:51 PM
I noticed the first scan seems to take forever, so i usually just scan the open tables, get a seat if need be, then scan the full ones.

Fair enough, obviously it will take a while, especially when you have a db with 10 million hands+

But, my problem is that virtually all the time now, it will scan 6 or 8 tables, then just CRASH which kinda sux

For some reason about once in every 20 or so times i boot it up, it works fine (even scanning, and opening tables by double clicking them, joining them), especially if i am playing around with tables on the lobby, but most times it just crashes

This happens whether i have zero or 10 tables open, and is certainly not computer related.

Anyone have any ideas to fix it?

Smart Datamining doesn't seem to work that well. It currently datamines two empty 3/6 tables even though I have set 2/4 as alternative limit.
Also being able to set half the tables as 2/4 and half as 3/6 would be nice.

Another weird bug: Spadeeye seems to randomly start scans during datamining which somehow leads the party client to crash once in a while.

Took a closer look at this, and i can not find any problem :/.
Did you probably forget to stop the datamining?

Playercount for opening tables at SemiSmart datamining has been fixed by version 2.72:

Nevertheless switching stakes is not implemented yet.

@omaha , akvsaq , and all HoldemManager user
I am in contact with Roy, the developer or HoldemManager about that, and i am confident that we will find a pretty fast solution.
I will keep you informed about our progress.

Looks like the latest version isn't handling spaces in user names, or hyphens. It's apparently converting them to underscores in SpadeEye, so not finding any hands for them from PT3.

is it possible to have the tables minimized when running semi smart datamining? i have the "minimize tables" option ticked in the dataming menu. worked for me when i used regular mining.

If it is minimizing for everyone else (and yes I do have the minimize tables option checked) then it must be something to do with my setup I guess.

Yeah, thank you for pointing out to me that it *ought* to work - I rebooted (hadn't done it in a while) and it now works fine. I know rebooting probably shouldn't have made a difference, but it is the SOP for me with problems with Windows!

Version 2.73 is ready
http://www.spadeit.com/download.php

PT3 support should be fixed now.

The "minimize" option was not working when Smart Mining FullTiltPoker, i guess.
Should be fixed by 2.73, too.

Thanks Mr Snood!

I thought it might have something to do with HEM, hope the solution is easy for you to fix

Mr. Snood,
the "SpadeEye did not take any action, as there is an empty Seat..." Message-Box is soooo annoying. Please add an option to open the table in that case.
