New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye

ever since this latest version, my scans on FT and a PT3 db take FOREVER... if i'm lucky, most of the time spadeeye just doesn't respond and i have to end the process

I will say though, that whatever you did with this version, now when I click the join waitlist button in spadeeye, it works every single time,
where as before it would work like once every 25 times i'd hit it

is datamining allowed for partypoker? is this a datamining tool?
05-23-2008 , 08:57 PM
SpadeEye is mainly a tool for tableselection.
Nevertheless it is able to datamine PartyPoker and FullTiltPoker, too.

Neither PartyPoker nor FullTiltPoker prohibit the use of SpadeEye.
There are hundred of customer, including me, using SpadeEye day by day, and datamining with it, too.

Yes, the "join waitlist" button for FullTiltPoker has been hugely improved

The issues in use with PT3 databases will be analysed soon.

Does Spade Eye still work with Bodog? My Spade Eye successfully functions with Full Tilt, but when I try to scan Bodog it fails. I chose Bodog as the client type. Then Spade Eye acts like its scanning the lobby, then returns no results. I am sure that I have it pointed to search the correct databases. What am I doing incorrect?

Mr. Snood, a question regarding the new smart datamining feature. If there are 3 tables
_ TableA [2 players, #reads = 0]
_ TableB [2 players, #reads = 0]
_ TableC [2 players, #reads = 1]
and SpadeEye is configured to open 2 tables, what would happen after the first run (opening TableA and TableB and datamining them for 15 minutes)? Would SpadeEye know that TableA and TableB have #reads = 2 now and it should open TableC? If it just does a scan again it wouldn't know about the new data on TableA and TableB cause its not in the db yet.

BTW, SpadeEye doesn't minimize tables while running in smart datamining mode.

If I remove the old versions of SpadeEye from the program list in my Control Panel, will it remove the whole program or just that version?
05-24-2008 , 07:37 PM
The new semi-smart datamining feature does not work properly on PartyPoker. I set it to open tables with minimum 5 players and close tables if drops below 4 players. It still opens empty tables, and with that, also fails to open 12 tables as I requested now. Oh, I use this with PT2. This is very problematic as the old way of close table if x players with y hands is not available anymore.

I've noticed that joining waitlists on FTP has worked better, but is there any way that when you do a subsequent scan, it can pick up you're on a wait list, even if the table is not open? It picks it up when I've got the table open, but not if I just join without opening.

Yeah please, especially since if you hit join waitlist on a table where you are already on the waitlist, you get removed from the waitlist.

Yeah, unfortunately Bodog is a problematic at some users.
We have not yet figured out why.

Yes, SpadeEye would open A and B for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes it would close down all tables and run a scan again.
Now A and B will have more "#reads" and table C would be opened...

But: Make sure SpadeEye does not cache old scanresults for more than 14 minutes (see main->options->general->databasecaching).
The default value is 20 minutes...

The minimizing and playercount will be fixed with the next version this week.

Yes, the old way will be replaced by this "semi smart" method.
You should configure the SpadeEye "Filter" to hide tables with less than e.g. 3 player.
Set the "number of player between" filter to 3 and 10.
Then SpadeEye will no more open empty tables.

Currently i see no resonable way to get the waitinglist information quick and reliable on FullTilt.
E.g. on TitanPoker all tables you are waitlisted get a "*" behind the playercount.
I see no such thing at FullTiltPoker, so SpadeEye can not know about when you e.g. unjoin a waitinglist, or when you took your seat...

Yes, i put this behaviour on purpose
But it seems it makes no sense.
I will remove the "unjoin" with the next SpadeEye version.

Ever since updating to 2.71, SE has been very quirky for me. It keeps freezing up halfway through table scans.

Also, snood, could you explain how the new mining feature works? It freezes everytime I use it and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.
05-28-2008 , 02:46 AM
I'm trying to set up Spade Eye to run on PT3. I have 2 databases. One is for observed hands, and one for played. I don't see how to configure Spade Eye for both. This is what I see...

... Will this be pulling from both PT3 databases? If not, how do I change it?
05-28-2008 , 02:55 AM
Stosh, whatever you named the database in PT3 you also need to enter in the "Database:" field in SpadeEye and click 'Add Database'. Do the same with the other PT3 database, make sure both are checked as active, and you should be good to go.

Or maybe a separate "unjoin" button? It is useful in some instances. But don't let me take you away from creating datamining via buddylist.

Clearly not wanted behavior
Mr_Snood, did you see my previous post? I thought it was quite scary...

Probably been answered 6 million times already but do I have to fork out another $40 for Telescope if I already have purchased SpadeEye?

Thanks for the reply. I tried that, but was unsuccessful. Here are the names of my PT3 databases...

... I try to add the PT3 database to SpadeEye and get this error...

... What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

You are not entering the DB name, but the label you gave it when you created it in PT3. Open your DB management in PT3 and find the real name of the DB, should be something like PT3_2008_....
