- What SpadeEye Version?

- What kind of database do you use?

- What exact settings did you put under "main"->"options"->"databases" in SpadeEye?

- What operating system do you use?

- Are all statistics zero for all players?

1)im not sure what version it is, but i just downloaded it yesterday.
2)i use pokertracker access, ill be changing to postgreSQL soon though.
3)the type is 'pokertracker access' and in the database row iv got 'C:/Program Files/Poker Tracker V2/ptrack.mdb'
4)i use window vista
5)and yes all the stats are Zero

Try posting a screenshot of your databases tab in the options section.. also possibly a screen of your "maintain database names" in PT.

The version number is visible in the SpadeEye caption.
Make sure it is not 2.66x as 2.66 had a critical bug...

Looks fine.

4)i use window vista
Did you run SpadeEye and the poker client as admin?
Otherwise SpadeEye will not have the access right to read your database...
Go to your SpadeEye installation directory and right click the SpadeEye executable.
Select "run as admin" from the popupmenu...

it is version 2.67.

i dont know what you mean when you say installation directory or where to find it. all i have done is right clicked the programs and told them to run as admin. but when i do that spadeeye does not even get the table list. it does nothing.
it retrieves the lists when i dont run as admin but then we still got the problem of the stats not showing up.
im running the trial version if that helps any.

Okay, take a closer look to "main"->"options"->"general" in SpadeEye.

- What exactly have you specified as "destination directory"?

- Run the datamining and observe your destination directory in the windows explorer.
Do you see that the handhistory files are being written?

- Is "act as tableopener only" under "main"->"options"->"general" checked?
(uncheck it)
Destination directory:
C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyGaming\HandHistory

No they are not being written

@Mindgames1
You need to run both (SpadeEye and the poker client) as admin.
By the way with what poker room do you want to run SpadeEye?

When you run SpadeEye as admin the first time, you need to reconfigure everything...

To run both as admin:
- You can right click the shortcut to your poker client and choose "run as admin".
- This "easy way" usually does not work with the SpadeEye shortcut.
So you need to open the windows explorer and navigate to the SpadeEye installation directory (usually something like "C:\Program files\Spadeit\SpadeEye").
There you need to right click the SpadeEye executable itself - instead of the shortcut - and select "run as admin".

And don't forget to reconfigure the SpadeEye "Filter" and probably database settings under "Main"->"Options"->"databases"...

This looks wrong.
Are you sure it isn't "C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory" ?

i am using full tilt.

iv done what you said and it seem to be working fine so far. i am getting the stats on the players now.

it seems like i have to run every program as admin with vista.

well thanks alot. i hope i wont be troubling you any time soon.

Hi,

Is there a way to speed up the Scan Tables process in FTP? I've used other table selection software where a database cache is used and the scan takes only a few seconds rather than 5-10 minutes. Is there a possibility that this could be implemented in future releases?

*I'm using PT3 with about 3 million ring hands.

Something with your database is not set up correct in SpadeEye.

What did you enter under "main"->"options"->"databases"?

Sounds like you set an invalid path as "database".
Should be something like "C:\program files\poker tracker v2\ptrack.mdb".
What did you set there?

The first scan in SpadeEye is always slower than the following scans.
Basically SpadeEye caches your scans in memory rather than using a real database cache.
So the first scan is some kind of "cache build up".
Later scans add unknow players to this cache or take known players from it rather to bug the database again...

Nevertheless you have to consider that a scan consists of 2 parts:
1) Select a table in the lobby and wait for the pokerclient to deliver the playerlist.
This process can take about 1-2 seconds

2) Retrieve the players statistics from your database.
This process again takes some seconds and can be speed up by the cache.

So basically there is room to improve step 2, but as it is client side scanning
- this means your local lobby is being scaned -
you can not avoid the 1-2 seconds per table waiting time for the playerlist...

I had not the time to tested PokerTracker 3 yet, but i heared and i expect that scanning with the HoldemManager database is pretty fast, as it has some kind of build in cache from scratch.

I use postgresql. I took a lookand I had both database and postgresql on so i removed access and it seems fine now.

hi.
when i click on the 'Total Stacks' Button i want the tables with the most stack on at the top of the column but nothing happens. It does not sort the column. Is there any reason why??

the start dataming in background option - does this only datamine the table which i am playing on or does it open other tables up automatically in the background as well. just like the auto dataming.

Mr. Snood,

I have a problem with a "Close Table" option when mining Party. I've enabled the "Close table if more than 5 player with 50 hands on it" feature, but it doesnt close tables when there are 6 players with each over 1k hands on it. I waited like 5 minutes for it... Is it a bug?
02-26-2008 , 02:33 PM
Hi.

I seem to have a problem with the datamining feature of your software, which I just bought. When I datamine, PT can read the files but not import the hands (it goes "12 file(s) read - 0 new hand(s) were imported".

Here is the set up of the program:

What should I do to fix this?

Thank you

I will fix the sorting for the "Total Stack" column.

In "background" mode the automatic opening and closing of tables is disabled.
It just datamines the currently open tables.

If you want to datamine while you play i suggest you to turn off the "close tables" tab in the options, or use the background mode. Otherwise SpadeEye may try to close tables you are sitting at.

Yes, this option is buggy.
02-27-2008 , 02:04 PM

You will need to download a new/fixed version again...
