It's been a while since our last update but wwe are still here and working on the product.

There have been a few changes, apart from multiple database support, that we are currently adding to the product.

In the past we have put out a release as each enhancement is made which is not the ideal way to release software. So our next release will contain multiple enhancements and we aim to have a beta version ready shortly after Easter. Unfortunately this will not have SnG and MTT support yet but we are very keen to have this in the product as we would love to use it ourselves!

For those who haven't seen the Pokerface product please visit www.PokerfaceSoftware.com.

Pokerface v1.1.4 Beta is now available for download at http://www.pokerfacesoftware.com/

This latest version includes the following enhancements:
  • Pokerface can be configured to access more than one tracking database.
  • Database profiles can be created to allow different views of a database.
  • Recent Hand History has been added to show a list of the hands a player has recently taken to show down and if they won the hand. This is very handy to see if a player is on a winning or losing streak and may possibly be going on tilt.
  • An indicator has been added to show the status of hands being loaded from the external tracking database.
  • The Remote Controls have been modified to allow further control of the main Pokerface windows.

If you are yet to try Pokerface Software please feel free to download the software and take a free trial.

Once v1.1.4 comes out of beta status we will start work on the long awaited MTT and SnG version.

Pokerface Software - Extend the power of HEM and PT3

Pokerface v1.2.0 beta now available

New to Pokerface is our Player Status Bar which includes the 'Tilt-O-Meter'.

Use the 'Tilt-O-Meter' to keep an eye on your opponents emotional status and, maybe more importantly, your own!

Use the Player Status Bar to monitor your performance during your current session. If the 'Tilt-O-Meter' is suggesting you are tilting then maybe you should adjust your game. If the 'Tilt-O-Meter' is suggesting a opponent is on tilt then seize the moment.

V1.2.0 also comes with improved remote controls which allow you to choose player actions directly from the Remote Control itself. This greatly improves the usage of Pokerface during live play as the need to interact with the main Pokerface window is dramatically reduced.

Please feel free to download a free trial version of Pokerface Software and try out these new features for yourself at http://www.pokerfacesoftware.com/

When I run the software, I have an issue that my hard drive starts spinning and will not stop.....so it slows all of my other programs down. Funny thing is that it doesn't use an excess amount of ram or memory. I have 4gb of ram, so it is not lack of memory.

Hi,

Can you please give me details of when the hard drive starts spinning, is it as soon as you start Pokerface from windows, or when you press the launch button for a selected profile, site and player?

If it is after you press the launch button and it is the first time then Pokerface is going to load up all the stats for the players on the table you have selected. Depending on the number of hands in your HEM or PT3 DB this could take a few moments and could be where the drive does a fair amount of work. The little square at the top right corner indicates if Pokerface is reading in stats. Is this white, red or green?

Are you using Hold'em Manager or Poker Tracker 3 and how many hands would you have in the DB?

Once the stats have been initially loaded for the players the next time you access a players data Pokerface will not have look again at all the players previous stats in either the HEM or PT3 DB so won't be doing all that hard work.

If you can please get back to me with more information then hopefully we can get this resolved as soon as possible.

It would be best if you reply to me at support@pokerfacesoftware.com as the email gets checked more frequently.

Steve

Pokerface Software - Extending the Power of Hold'em Manager and Poker Tracker 3

V1.3.0 Release

This release contains improvements for multi-table play. Now Pokerface will monitor the tables you are playing and automatically update the Pokerface Remote Control accordingly. This means you only need one remote control when multi-tabling instead of previously when a Remote Control was required for each table.

You will no longer need to use the refresh table button as Pokerface will now detect when you have started playing at a new table. These improvements aim at less manual interaction with Pokerface so you can focus on playing poker using the most up to date information.

There have also been improvements to the Player Status Bar.

Download the latest version, get a free trial and learn more at http://pokerfacesoftware.com/

For anyone whose free trial has expired and would like to try out our new features please email us at 'support@pokerfacesoftware.com' to extend your trial by 7 days.

Is there anyway to differentiate how often a player plays a certain hand? For a example under certain game conditions a player might raise utg with 44....and he has only done this once, but when you look at the screen....it looks like he plays it the same as AA.

Hi,

You can get this information by hovering over the hole cards as seen here:

Please note you have to make sure the Pokerface window has focus for the hover to work.

Hi,

In regards to my previous message I have noticed that not all stats give the number of hands and the % where the player put money in the pot when hovered over. So we will look at getting the program updated to make sure all stats show this.

Also I noticed how having to hover over each hand during live play is probably not very practical so we will look into changing Pokerface to show this information without needing to hover.

We will make it a priority to make these changes so hopefully we should have something available within the week.

Also for those holding out for the MTT and SnG version we apologize for not having anything available but we keep finding new features to add to Pokerface for ring games so MTT and SnG stays on the back burner. Our main priority right now is to make Pokerface Software as beneficial as possible for ring game users.

Steve

Pokerface Software - Extending the power of Hold'em Manger and Poker Tracker 3

Important release v1.3.1

Please upgrade to v1.3.1 as soon as possible to remove a bug we introduced when we changed the program to remove all the limitations during the free trial period.

We stuffed up!

The problem is that Pokerface will delete it's cache everytime it starts and therefore it needs to re-read from Holdem Manager or Poker Tracker 3 each time... and this is not what Pokerface is meant to do! This will cause delays everytime Pokerface starts.

To allow trial users, whose trial time is about to expire, to use Pokerface as it should be we have automatically given them an extra 7 days.

Steve

Pokerface Software - Extending the Power of Hold'em Manager and Poker Tracker 3

Version 1.4.0 Release (Extended free trial available for users with an expired trial)
  • Multi Databases can be merged into one
  • Remote Control improvements
  • Greater visibility of actions made and faced
  • Trial extensions available

This release finally allows you to be able to use more than one tracking database at a time in one view. This means if you have multiple DBs you can now set up a profile to access any number of these DBs and present them as one.

The Remote Control now lets you switch between actions made and actions faced and provides buttons as needed to allow you to select these actions. The Action tabs on the Player Statistics Display window have also been simplified to make them easier to understand, and therefore more usable.

When in Action Mode we have now made it a lot easier to see how often a player makes a certain action. Previously all the hands a player made an action with would be highlighted but this did not indicate the frequency of that action. Now all the hands are highlighted for an action but the highlight color is scaled - so if the action happens more often it is a darker color and less often then it is a lighter color.

Also to assist with seeing how often an action happens the user can hover the mouse over the hand (in the opening hand grid) and they will then be presented with how often the action happens e.g. 'Open Raised: 5 from 10 opportunities (50.00%)'.

Some other minor issues like the Player Hand History not appearing, the 'tilt-o-meter' not handling NL statistics very well and a timezone issue for some users have been addressed.

Now with every new release the software will offer users with an expired trial an extra 14 day trial. This trial can be activated whenever the user likes.

Does this software work when multi-tabling Rush poker?

Hi,

Pokerface Software has not been fine tuned to run when playing Rush poker. It will work but due to the nature of PT3 and HEM Pokerface only knows about the current players at the table after the hand has been written to the tracking databases. Therefore you are always one hand behind. To get around this we would need to change Pokerface to find out the players currently at the table from the Full Tilt table itself. This is something we will look into.

There is an option in Pokerface to show departed players on the player list. Using this you can see all the players you have come across during a rush session. However finding a player in this list once it gets too big is not practical when you need that information immediately.

We shall investigate further.

Steve

Our new version 1.4.0 has cleared up the way Pokerface shows this information. Now the action color is scaled so you can see the darker pink is played more often to the ligher pink that is played less often.

When you hover over the hand you are now presented with more meaningful information. This now shows you how the often the player made the action from how many opportunities they had to make that action.

In the example below the action we are looking at is raises made from a middle position.

As we can see hands like AA to 66 are in dark pink meaning these are always raised from a middle position. Hands such as A9o, QJo and 65s are is a lighter pink meaning these are not always raised from this position. The hover over 44 shows this player raised with these in a middle position 85% of the time.

Note that you can also see the quality of the recent hands played, from a middle position, in the Hand History column on the right hand side (the hands highlighted in green are the hands this player won).

Free Trial Extension - If your trial has expired and you would like to try out this new functionality, plus the new multi database profile facility, then download and install version 1.4.0. When you run it you will be offered an extra 14 day trial to activate whenever you like.

Version 1.4.0 Release (Extended free trial available for users with an expired trial)

New Multi Database feature

In previous versions Pokerface Software has allowed you to access more than one of your PT3 or HEM databases, using our Profile setup, but you could not access the combined results of more than one database at the same time - until now.

For instance you may have one PT3 or HEM database per month:
  1. PT3 June
  2. PT3 August
  3. PT3 July
Now you can create one profile and select each of these databases to be included in that profile.

When you use this profile and you access a players statistics it will be the combined statistics for all 3 databases.

A huge benefit of this is that if you haven't come across a player for a few months, and therefore they are not in your current (default) PT3 or HEM database, Pokerface Software will still be able to present you with their statistics (from a a previous database) in its Player Statistics Display window.

And remember this data will then be summarized and stored locally in one Pokerface database ready for fast access the next time you need statistics for these players.

Free Trial Extension - If your trial has expired and you would like to try out this new functionality then download and install version 1.4.0. When you run it you will be offered an extra 14 day trial to activate whenever you like.
