I have used all of these products, here are my thoughts….. Smart Buddy felt like it only worked half the time, didn't like it too much so I stopped quickly. I have used TR for the past couple of months for HU bumhunting, and I like to use it for stats on people, but it doesn't cover all hands. The best friends and worst enemies on TR is also a cool feature to see, it something different which no one has. PlayerGPS I have been using this past month, and the buddy list and alerts are very sound. Being able to receive text messages on the cell phone and not having to sit in front of my comp 24/7 to wait for someone is great, especially for this one huge low stakes fish. I also do like how they created a “Now Playing Page.” I usually 12 table NL and sometime mix in other side games. PlayerGPS obviously covers a lot of games besides games besides NL which is great for me because I like to do my homework before I get in games, and it has been working extremely well. The thing I am looking forward to is the ability to receive IM’s through AIM as an alert option because those also go straight to my phone and also grab my attention if I'm at the computer already multitabling.

I definitely will use GPS, but the prices for the mid subscription could be a little lower and maybe the low one too. Essentially the prices for the Balla package could
swing either higher/lower, but what's that small amount of money for them TBH.

It really just depends on what you want and what you are looking for in a product. For me, alerts via text and stuff are really important.

So:
Smart Buddy: ……..

Stats: TR>GPS

Alerts/Buddy List: GPS>TR

Very nice product. When do you think the IM feature for AIM will be available?
04-14-2009 , 12:19 PM
Once we are done with PS HU NL and HU Omaha, which will be finished by this weekend. It probably will take around a month or little more to add the AIM feature. Thanks again for the compliment.

HU NL now works for PokerStars, HU Omaha should be done within the next couple of days!

Shark ($0.25/$0.50 - $10/$20) For the middle limits. This level covers all our available services for cash games up to the $10/$20 level. We currently only provide alerts for Hold'em, Omaha, and Mixed Games. $39.99

Balla' ($0.25/$0.50 - unlimited) For the high limits. This level covers all our available services for cash games of all levels. We currently only provide alerts for Hold'em, Omaha, and Mixed Games. $124.99

As of now we are still fixin HU PLO for PS. Once that is done, we will begin working on the third alert option, which will be AIM/MSN. Then we will begin on adding all the other poker sites, Titan will be the first one that we do. We haven't decided the order of the rest of the sites, but Cake will be on there.

As for the prices, those are not correct, it is still TBD. As you can see we have pushed the beta back till June 1st. Thanks again!

any idea how much the blocks of 100 text mesages will work out costing?
i imagine a roster of even just 20 active players could end up being realy expensive esp if a new text is then sent for every hour they are consecutively online.

excited with the software however.

p.s. i also have the same problem with not recieving my activation code and have had to use the contact facility.. uk mobile number fwiw.

Right now we are still deciding on the subscription prices with the blocks of text messages. We might try to implement a snooze feature so it won't send you a text message every hr. Also drop the leading zero, but still select the UK country code and that should work. We appreciate the questions and feedback!

Are you going to have an option where you can add notes to your buddies?? It would be great if we could import HEM or PT3 notes.

We eventually will, but right now we are focusing just on AIM atm. Thanks for the questions.

Why am i getting SPAM from this company in my email?
05-05-2009 , 11:59 PM
Check boxes have now been made for the filter list on the now playing playing page. This should be much easier to use and to see what tables the players you want are on.
05-05-2009 , 11:59 PM
The site right now is undergoing maintenance and should be back up soon! Thank you for your patience.
05-15-2009 , 01:40 AM
IM's for AIM are now available and are 100% free to use! You do not have to add a playergps buddy to AIM. All you have to do is go to the account settings page and under "Messenger Alerts" add your AIM id and submit.

Also as requested by many people we have added a "Bulk Actions" option which gives you the ability to turn on or off whichever types of alerts/categories you want.

Thanks again for the feedback

here's a feature idea. I would like to disable alerts for certain hours of the day. (3AM-12PM).

We will definitely look into this in the later stages and see if its possible to come up with something like that. Right now we are trying to add notes for players, and then we will move on Titan.

Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it a lot!
05-16-2009 , 08:51 AM
I forgot to also mention that we also just moved back the text messages from 60 mins to 120 mins, which a lot of people had requested. So you will be notified every 2 hrs from now on.

Your AIM feature is awesome, nice work! Do you think you will have the notes up soon, that would be a very nice feature to have. Especially when I have a lot of fish on the list and can't remember what each one of their flaws is.
