I don't know how normal or exceptional this is but I can share from my own experience. My first 65k hands, I was down 1800 big blinds on my graph. That's not quite as bad as your 3000BB but I guess you see for yourself that it's not unheard of.

I'm now at 110k and I've reversed the trend to a point where I am only 300BB down now. The good news is that because I've gone up in stakes over that time, I'm actually up in cash. In fact, for the stakes I play now, I'm up more than 5 buyins.

So all I can say, is don't give up. Your luck can change

Yes, you ve probably lost big pots late in tourneys. Big Blinds would be in all probability less skewed. Also go to hands and sort according to bigger discrepancy. It's the last column.

Nope, only 2 big pots lost late in MTT tournaments, you can see them in the graph (I dont play MTT's). There are probably 20 MTT's in this graph, but I never made it late apart from those 2, I suck at MTT's.

Unfortunately I cant get BB's result right now, as the database is on my other computer in my father's house, I will get them soon, but probably it wont make a lot of difference the BB graph. Anyways, I need to get to the bottom of this, as this is mathematicly impossible.

Here's mine. I ran bad at first playing 10NL till my luck changed when I moved up to 25NL & 50NL. I'm now +EV in $$$ but still -EV in big blinds.

Just wanted to pop by to thank you, this software is great. It's super fast, intuitive and really handy.

You know, I ve been thinking a lot about this and here's an idea I had. Ok, doing EV calculations based on ICM seems impossible.

How about measuring how one is running when the tourney gets shorthanded. That would be a good approximation, no? And even if it isn't, it might still be very useful.

The most clear-cut case is when you re Heads Up with someone. No ICM there. I ve been in a tons of heads up at the end of tourneys and I am under the impression that I am running bad in them. Couldn't the program measure just that?

After that, I suppose that doing 2 handed and upward might get more complicated and perhaps is tougher to do, but that could also be useful no? Like how you re running in FTs 5 handed and less. Etc etc.

What do you think? Is it doable?

Statistically speaking it can go on for some time, or it can turn around tomorrow. If you have a positive expectation and can handle it financially and mentally, well you know...

PokerStars Sit N Gos are so rigged, dont play them imo, they let the fish win more flips than they should, obviously. My graph is proof.

I feel it would be quite useful and might give everyone a more accurate (less "skewed") picture. It's certainly useful to see if you are winning or losing the big pots, but it would also be useful to see how one is running without regard for tourney chips.
