FWIW, Stars issued a client update this afternoon that implemented a resizable lobby with changable fonts and sizes. It also broke many AHK scripts, including StarsPlanner. With the upgrade and Planner running, clicking any button in any dialog box (including the login window) has no effect. Customer service told me that they have backed off on the upgrade, unfortunately, too late for me.

Crap, looks like I have a ton of updating to do when this "upgrade" goes mainstream.

Even worse, I am powerless to fix anything involving this update until it is reinstated

Let us hope a "downgrade" is forced on clients soon enough, so that people can get back to a properly working client.

FWIW, I *always* start it from pokerstars.exe, not pokerstarsupdate.exe - and I *always* make a backup image using 7zip before I run the update exe - I suggest anyone using scripts does the same procedure so they can "roll-back" if need be. Lord knows id be fuming if all my script-support broke at the start of a fishy weekend

It's actually been working flawlessly for me the past few days. It's resizing on its own and only had one instance of the crazy resize thing.

I fumed to CS and they told me the downgrade would happen the next time I ran the client, but no joy. They then told me to download the installer from their website, that worked.

is there any trick I need to do to get this to work on Vista? at the moment when I hit CAPTURE it says "5 pokerstars tables" or w/e but then the saved layout doesnt show up. also it is not recognizing FTP tables it appears. i tried making a shortcut to run as administrator, but this option was grayed out.

[censored] my auto-reload script doesn't work on PS anymore and now I can't just press F1 to reload. Anyone know if it will ever be updated?

You can be confident I will keep my scripts updated/working unless something changes so drastically as to make them no longer possible... I do not think that has happened here though - I have no problems running Either this (StarsPlanner) or AutoReload (and it's f1 hotkey) on the current latest PokerStars (Client Version 2.296).

Is it posible you have the bugged PokerStars Client version 3.x referenced a few posts above?

Chances are, the "trick" needed is toset "run as administrator" for the AutoHotkey.exe file itself (Found in C:\Program Files\AutoHotkey\). That should make all scripts run as Administrator, and will hopefully do the trick.

It may also help to place the script in a "Public" folder, at the least your current username and Administrator will need read/write access to the script location - using a "Public" folder takes care of the access permissions easily.

EDIT:

I guess this is for the layout capture? Only Stars tables will be found for that, I didn't bother changing that since one can open as many Stars tables as you could possibly need - but I can add it in if need be... will be putting a new version out later on with Absolute support anyway

hm ok I managed to make AHK run as administrator and it is now saving my layouts, but when I check the 'enable resize tables' box and start to open tables it's not resizing/moving them.

As do I I was *almost* going to get it on a new computer...but fortunately was able to stick with trusty XP Pro would sure save me some time researching troubles like this tho... maybe I'll buy it and dual boot on occasion...

It is probably necessary to also set "run as administrator" for PokerStars / Full Tilt etc. - I think this can be done fine with the shortcuts, unlike scripts.

A "brute force" fix may be to disable Vista's UAC feature entirely - but that lessens the security back to near XP class I believe thus may not be desirable.

My Stars Planner is messing up big time with the new stars update. THe lobby keeps stealing focus over everything (start menu, etc).

Drat. This is the version 2.3x update I posted about earlier tonight (with resizeable lobby). Accordg to posts of those who had the bugged version last weekend, it breaks almost everything

Looks like a long night ahead lol... not great timing, been awake ~18 hours already ... my only weakpoints hungry and sleeps, so sleepy

Yes, it suffers the same affliction of focus stealing - uploading it in the next 5 minutes after another orbit or two of testing
