A few more questions on fixed limit preflop trees:

As I understand it, allowing 4 betting preflop would perhaps take a very large amount of ram, perhaps 1-2tb or more.

In a game like limit omaha8 where allowing limping from earlier positions, seems like this would be impossible to build a near 100% accurate preflop tree.
(I believe PLO high when allowed to limp, solver actually does it 1-3% of the time, so I would think in a split game, this would be much higher).

If we exclude 4 betting, how close are the preflop trees (im sure this has been done in fixed limit holdem) to the real solution?

Just wondering how many abstractions we can use to start to get a decent approximation of preflop limit O8 and fixed limit holdem trees without paying 2500 a month for a server.

is there a basic syntax for adding custom actions? i know theres a tutorial someone did, but i need to know how to add bets that are not donk bets. how can i filter so that say, there is an option on flop for only PFR to bet 65,100?? i know i can filter by player( player=0,1,2,etc) but that seems excessively time consuming for a 6 handed tree.

also, legacy version give me a straight blank screen. i login in no problem, then it asks me to update and no matter my selection it just opens a blank white screen. no buttons, nothing. i then have to task manager, end task to get it to close. ive tried updated java but still doesnt work. advice here as well would be nice because building trees in legacy is much more user friendly until someone releases a breakdown on how to use the new syntax.

Hi guys, anyone has trouble running specifically preflop PLO sims on the new version?

When I run even a hu sim on lowest settings, it gets stuck on creating turn tree forever. However, I was able to run both preflop NL sims and postflop PLO sims, including scripts. And I also tried to run it with both the new and the old algorithm, I got enough RAM, etc.

Cant managed to register or login into moker.
Got the file, then when i open the monkerviewer, it says server offline.
As try to register, it says cannot connect to server.

PLease help.

I have issues with the solver starting up to solve a tree then more or less immediately it just conks out and stops running. Sometimes, exiting the solver then opening it back up again works, other times it doesn't

It's a shame this software is so buggy and it's a shame the developers do such a crappy job at supporting it. Why release a new version if you aren't even gonna answer support emails? I've sent several, and never get a response. Very unprofessional.

I am beginning with monkersolver running sims for preflop Spin.
I'd like to know once a tree is built, how to only modify the stacksize on this tree.

My goal is to use my tree for 6bb deep, 7bb deep, 8bb deep without recreating the tree each time.

Having the exact same issue here. Did you try to download the legacy format again from the website (version 10114?)

did you resolve the issue. It sounds as if you are using the stable version 2.1.9, are you still finding issues with the iterations for any simulation?

if you want to keep using the original monker workaround is this:

1. Downloading the new updated legacy version on the website
2. Starting it through the launcher.jar every single time and not through the Monkersolver.jar (or .exe previously)

It does seem the dev decided to remove some button logos as a last **** you to everyone who paid and used his software for years though

To keep using version 1.

1. Go to https://monkerware.com/java/
2. Download Java zip-file compatible for your system
3. Unzip and rename this new folder "jre"
4. Remove/Replace the old "jre" folder in your MonkerSolver-1 directory
5. When you start up V1, Select don't update and it should work.

if still doesnt work :

6. Uninstall old version Java
7. Reinstall latest version Java 17 https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/
8. When finished go to step 5.

it seems as if they have updated some things with the older version if i am reading it correctly so you should be able to launch monker legacy version through the launcher now so does seem they fixed the launcher.jar issue and the buttons that had been removed.

I am using Monker Solver Legacy 10114 to load a SavedRun .mkr solution file that I purchased and am requesting to load 2 streets (so including flop). The loaded run works perfectly for viewing solution for preflop actions, but when I get to the flop and select a flop, the solution window is blank, and I'm not able to view any flop solution. I know I have enough RAM (64gb) and I didn't receive any out of memory error when I loaded two streets. Any idea what I'm doing wrong or how to fix this to view the flop solutions? Is there something else I need to click to view the flop solution buckets?

In older monker, while creating a tree via 'add to all -> custom filter' you could set raise sizes different to the original bet size with ';' mark. It does not seem to work in the new one. Is there any simple solution I am missing? Thx

1. In tab "Solve" is there a button named "Reset", inside "Average". It says "Reset the cumulative average strategy and EV." Could someone elaborate further?

2. For a flop simulation I did before, is there a way to alter the ranges for players and redo the simulation without re-creating a .mkr file?
