When you say "won't load", can you see the tab for the 6-way ranges from within the 'local' tab of Monkerviewer? I experience some issues with Monkerviewer not displaying ranges correctly when trying to display Omaha ranges myself.

I am not sure what you mean by "it doesn't freeze, it just doesn't do anything when I click". Is there some specific action that you are trying to perform that doesn't work?

I am not sure why you are unable to see any local folders. The steps I outlined are what I used on my Windows 10 desktop to display Monkerviewer ranges. You could try to install Monkerviewer into a directory located outside of 'Program Files'. Also move your ranges folder into the same directory, and then try to repeat the same steps. I would also recommend reporting the issue to the developer by emailing support@monkerware.com.

The wheel spins endlessly and it never changes to the local tab. I've tried moving them to different folders and the same problem always recurs. It works for a much smaller heads-up range, but for two PLO 6-way ranges it doesn't work at all. I have reported the issue but heard nothing back yet.

Sorry, I mean the application won't respond to any of my clicks. I see Tree Solve and Settings near the top, but when I try to click on any of these buttons nothing happens.

Hello, does somebody know how many instances of monker I can run in different dedicated servers having 1 license? I tried contacting the support email (support@monkerware.com) but I got no answer in 2 weeks.

Got the answer, two computers per account, no limit in instances open if I understood correctly.

Does anyone know about the error message I'm getting while trying to import a MKR file ?
I solved a situation with a full version and am trying to load the solution into a free version on another computer.
Thanks

You could try checking to see if you have multiple version of Java installed, and uninstall all. Then install the latest Java from this link. The version you need is "Windows Offline (64-bit)".
Without knowing more about your specific Windows configuration, the only other thing I can think of would be to clean install Windows, Java and Monker, but obviously that is a last resort solution.

Monkersolver free is only compatible with turn/river solutions. This error can also be from a corrupted MKR file.

Your proposed game trees are too large to solve on a machine with 128GB RAM. I would recommend you experiment with creating the types of game trees that you intend on solving, and seeing how much RAM you will require before making any hardware purchases, or renting any servers.

May I refer you to the documentation on the Monkerware website for a basic starting guide.

"The version you need is "Windows Offline (64-bit)"

This got it. Weirdly the java install that is recommended by Monker when you install the free version is not this Java.

Another question, how do you read the monkerviewer parentheses? Like what is (AJ95) vs (AJ9)5. At first I thought it was number of suited cards, but I don't see (AJ)(95) as well.

Can monkersolver be used to solve preflop ranges for no-limit omaha tournmanets? Is there any future plan to add such feature?

Monker can solve no limit Omaha and Omaha8 including tournament structures for preflop.

Hi guys, some questions:

1. For medium complexity (3 size for street, 100bb) HU / 3way solution how much ram do you need?

2. Was the incorrect rake count then resolved?

Simple question I'm having trouble finding. What is the (mchip) for rake? it says 1000 mchips is 1 chip. Is 1 chip 1 BB?

So what is the equivalent in mchips for 2 players $0.01 per $0.20 pot $1 maximum at 2$/5$

For monker would it be 5% 200mchip rake?

Brackets refer to suits. You should be able to find (AJ)(95) if it is present in the range.

This bug was addressed:

"Update 10077 (2017-05-09)
Fixed a bug in raked trees. Rake was taken from uncalled bets which resulted in too high rake."

1 chip is 1 SB by default. If the rake cap is half an SB, then the cap would be 500mchip using the default Monkersolver blinds of 1/2.

Hi, I have purchased MonkerSolver recently and use it on MAC OS X, 16 GB RAM.

Simulations I want to run will cost about 9-10 GB RAM, I would like to give MonkerSolver more memory, how to configure this parameter on MAC?

Guideline are given for windows, but I could not find any for mac.

Thank you.

Has anyone had an issue when running a solve where the Iterations/second keeps moving from 0 - 22k/second? On other solves I have done, it usually hits 200k/second. This solve is much larger, is it normal for this to happen?

See if you can find a file named 'start2.sh' in the Monkersolver directory. Open this file in a text editor, and change the parameter '-Xmx' to '-Xmx10g'.

I have encountered this issue with some game trees. This may be a bug related to the design of the tree. You could try to start out with a low number of threads, and gradually add threads and see if that helps. You don't want the iteration speed to go to zero during the solving process, but instead to remain fairly constant, even if you are not using all of the threads available to you.

You seem to be using a different version of Monkersolver. In the current version (10114), you can manually select filters from an options field.

alright this is getting on my nerves...lol

when i put "$ss" in the filter it returns nothing..
if i put "A$ss" it returns all single suited hands containing an Ace.

if i put "$np" in the filter it returns nothing..
if i put "A$np" it returns all Ace hands with no pairs..

my problem is i want to see ALL single suited "$ss" no pair "$np" hands.

but if i input "$ss$np" into the filter then it returns nothing.

nevermind..i figured it out. "wwxy:$np"

apparently you have to use "wxyz" constraint if your not going to specify a card rank ( A-2)

Hi all! I have a question about looking at solves completed on a different computer.

I had a question about loading more than one street. My computer has 32GB of ram, so when I load, for example, a 100bb six max tree, I only load one street. I can then view the solution for preflop, which is great.

However, when I put in a flop, I don’t see an option to load the flop solution for a given board. Is there a way to do this, or do I have to rerun the solve? If that’s the case, I have to make major concessions in order to fit the solve into my 32gb of ram.
