That's what I had it set to in the photo right? You can see the custom filter didnt add the allin which is why I asked. Is there something else i could be wrong?

Your threshold is too low. It needs to be higher so that the all-in is added. Right now it would only be added automatically if an all-in were less than 1.275. I believe 109 should work here.

I set it to 110. also had to bump up bet committal to get EP to cbet. when I apply the filter though I get the resulting tree pictured. is there something else? is it something I could of done while making the preflop tree? it took like 14 iterations to get the preflop tree because I have trouble getting the filters to do exactly what I need them to. I got preflop down though, and postflop with the exception of 4b pots. not having the node to cbet jam when SPR is 1.09ish.

thank you. I must be missing something, but I thought makivng solves on later streets is much less computationally expensive than from the very first street. why there's only preflop solves then?

Hi,

I have the monkerviewer and wanted to load some ranges into it, but after moving the monkerviewer.exe out of the download folder, monkerviewer wont open. It just keeps loading forever.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

now I changed the folder structure and deleted the folder "hold_em", and monkerviewer will open, but i can only see black screens isntead of ranges. It looks like this.

How well does Monkersolver scale with cores and hyperthreading? Considering getting the threadripper 64core/128thread, but only if it scales well.

re: MonkerSolver

Hello guys, recently I've bought some ranges and decided that I want to use Monkerviewer to View them!
The file that contains my ranges is in the same directory as Monkerviewer and Mnkersolver is,but when I log in the server to view them,I go to the local tab and nothing shows.
I've upgraded my Java as it was mentioned earlier but the problem remains!
Any advice on how to solve this???

Would something like the server above be ok for light solving, or would I be better of upgrading my Ryzen 7 2700 Desktop and getting a 8 slot motherboard plus 128 gb of ram for now?

Appreciate it guys.

The file will only open up if i delete the -Xms2g file ...
I changed the -Xmx file to 8g
When i try to solve anything with the xms file deleted it gets stuck on 0% and freezes, cant close it or anything,

I'm unsure what your question is. By the looks of it, I would recommend creating a simpler game tree for postflop in your preflop solves. Then re-solve individual postflop spots with more detailed trees.

The free ranges provided by Monkersolver are just examples, you are supposed to create your own solutions with the solver.

There are no standard deviations in the solver.

Can you take a screenshot of the folder structure of 'ranges', down to the .rng file? The structure should be something like Hold'em>6-way>100bb. Monkerviewer needs to be in the same folder as 'ranges'.

Monkersolver does not scale linearly with cores/threads, so I wouldn't expect the 3990x to perform at twice the speed of the 3970x. If I had to guess, since the 3990x isn't released yet, I would estimate a 50-60% increase in iterations per second.

For HU SNGs rake should be set to 0%.

Please send a screenshot of your 'ranges' folder structure down to the .rng files.

By "8 slot motherboard", I assume you mean Threadripper 2/3. That will blow the server you linked out of the water. So, yes. Keep in mind that RAM throughput is very important for Monkersolver, and the server you linked on ebay is only running on DDR3 SDRAM.

Do you have the correct Java version? Install a current 64-bit Java from their download page. https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

re: MonkerSolver

hey guys,

how does one use 'reset avg. after' in a way it makes sense. i was told if i want to run lets say 25 I/N i should put in something close to 25...like 23. if i run my sim deeper, lets say 150 I/N i might want to reset after earlier, maybe 75. but i dont really understand why. im not even sure what average im resetting can someone please elaborate on this. appreciate any guidance

what i have found so far on discord thanks to Tommie_to:

Tommie_to:

"Since the results you have converge more and more to the "actual" solution, reset the average should always give at least a solution as good as the previous one, if not better. But as you probably already noticed, if the solution runs for like 100 I/N, resetting it does not change that much.

So I think it mainly is important to reset the average when you are planning on running a relatively low I/N number, like 30 for example. Since the first 15 I/N might be relatively inaccurate compared to the later 15, so then you can remove the first 15 from your results by resetting the average after 15 I/N

Correct me if I am wrong, but I'd say the numbers are converging (which basically means getting closer and closer) to some equilibrium. If you reset the average, the numbers before you press the reset button, are not taken into consideration anymore when calculating the average, which means that you only get the 'more accurate' part of your results to calculate the average.

So for example, when you look at the image, if you reset the average after a certain time period, you remove all irrelevant data that is probably not even close to the solution you want to get, so your averages are probably more accurate then."

so my take would be setting the 'reset to avg. after' depending on the general accuracy of the I/N i want to run. meaning if i plan to run 25 I/N, i should at least make it run to 20 (which is supposed to be the min setting for i/n one should do to get a decently accurate sim) before resetting the avg. is this assumption correct? but will be the 'next' 5 i/n be enough to be sufficient after resetting the average? so maybe its better to reset after 15 i/n to have 10 i/n more 'to go' with a reset average?

I keep getting this:

whenever I try to log into monkerviewer for the first time. Am I doing something wrong (I deleted the email for the screenshot) or does the server go down a lot? The server worked to take my email and create an account but won't bring up the viewer.

Have you ever successfully logged in to Monkerviewer? It looks more like incorrect login details than an issue with the server. Usually there will be an error message saying the server is down if the issue is server side. You could simply try a new account if you have no purchases on this account.

Nope. And I tried making an account with two different emails so I know the credential are correct.

One thought was maybe my firewall was blocking it but I turned that off to check and same thing.

Hello,

I’ve bought some pre made sims, put everything on the correct files but can’t login.

I put credentials correct but it won’t open as it shows the little refresh button as it is trying to open but with no avail. The sims are 1gb or so.
What’s happening?
Thanks

Edit MonkerSolver.l4j. For example, if you want to limit Monker to 128gb ram, the file should have one line:

-Xmx128g

Monker should use whatever the config file specified when it was opened.

re: MonkerSolver

Yeah, editing the MonkerSolver.l4j effects how much ram the first instance of monkersolver uses.

But to open a second monkersolver one has to copy paste the monkersolver executable to a different name and run it. I tried making a similar configuration file but it didn't work.

I've never heard of anyone else having this problem. I open multiple instances of monkersolver using the same executable file.
