I wonder if there is a way to make it independent of a server.

It should be working again shortly. My credit card on file for the website expired.....oops.

I released the AHK code a few weeks ago. You can take out the check that relies on the website. The code for MergeMods is on an old hard drive somewhere, so I haven't released it. I'll try to dig it up eventually.
