I'm a sng semi-pro looking to get into cash games. Having 0 cash game data, at what point will the results become significant enough to start adjusting play based on them? I'm assuming they won't be too terrible since I've been semi-pro over 3 years and am waiting to get through Harrington on Cash games vol II before starting to really put in volume in the cash games.

But starting from zero hands, the stats will be all over the place for quite a while I imagine.

Yes, good question. We recommend at least 50k hands. You can start getting some decent idea after 20k hands where some of your leaks are going to be (even in 10k), but the more finite areas will take larger samples.

So you are going to start transitioning more into cash games now basically?

If you have any questions about leak buster, just let me know. Happy to help.

That's the idea anyway. It'll be a few weeks before I start cash though. I've been running terribly and need to stick with what I'm best at for a while to pay the bills. (I call myself semi-pro because 100% of my income now is from poker, but I'm lazy about putting in volume and live cheaply.) Even if I'm good at cash though, I'll have to play less tables, so I'll just have to experiment and see where the best $/hr is to be made. Either way, it'll be good for me, my leaks in tournaments are mostly in the deepstack portion of them.

Just checking lobbies, it looks like ~95 hands per hour is about average for 6max, is that what you would assume? Sorry for the newb question, the disparity between some tables is huge.

Yeah, I understand. If you're not running well, stick with what you're really good at, and also make sure you're giving yourself enough time away from the game too.

When you start to make that transition into cash games, Leak Buster is a great tool for someone like you who will want the instant feedback to make sure you're playing optimally. It has a lot of good tutorial videos, and modules that will help make that transition smoother.

Hands per hour really depends on the site, with turbo, non-turbo. I think average is somewhere around 45 - 90 hands and hour. Some sites with turbo tables can get slightly higher.

Good luck, and if you have any other questions, just let me know.

Honestly don't know. It was supposed to be yesterday as far as everyone on our team knew. Apparently there was an issue w/ Table Scanner they wanted to put in, so release was delayed.

It may be Saturday or Sunday, but we don't have any official word yet. We're waiting to hear from HM.

Make sure when you click import that you are in HM's config file folder. If not, then switch there. They are automatically created when you register, BUT you may need to exit and restart HM. Some system's cache needs to reset itself since HM doesn't always do this for some reason.

If that doesn't work just PM with your e-mail and I can send them to you.

In Step 3 (Position) I get following complete contrary statements:

Your aggression is too low from the big blind. It's very important to apply enough aggression so that you are getting the most value from your hands, bluffing in the right spots, and applying enough pressure to your opponents. Consider betting instead of checking a little more often.

Your aggression from the big blind is currently too high. You should consider bringing down your aggression by checking and calling, or checking and folding a little more often.

Can someone please explain?

Can you be more specific about where you're seeing this. Is this for no-limit, in the simple view or advanced view of step 3?
