do you expose an api in leak buster?

could one write a plugin for nice easy reports from pt4 data?

this might be a product for ace?

What's the issue you're having for the export in step 5?

There's no api for leak buster. I will talk with the team about an export report again. They actually have something set to do this already but they pulled it for some reason.

please consider exposing an api or making it open source.

if you make it easy to run queries and export stuff, you might develop your market by having plugins.

thanks

Thanks. If you try running step 5 separate, and then export it should work. It looks like a bug with pulling the stored data.

What kind of plugins do you think could exist for Leak Buster?

he still throws. but i only have 5k hands so far, i am nowhere near needing the extra info that leak buster has.

as far as plugins go. maybe more of an api, since you have the technical expertise to grovel around in the pt4 and hm2 databases. pt4 seems to have no interest in this.

my wife and i and a few friends are trying to keep track of how well we were doing, so i thought i would export some reports from pt4 and stick then on a web site. but turns out be a sort of a click yourself to death exercise, and the graph data is dead, so you can not format it. imagine trying to make some nice html reports for a group of people every week or so.

i would buy something like this. but i don't know how many other people would be interested.

thanks

Thanks for your feedback and suggestion. Yeah, I think the interest level would be low. HM2 has an API. PT does not. And you're correct that PT does not seem interested in doing one.

I'm not sure what you mean. You have partial access to all of the steps, and you can see full results after an analysis for a portion of each step, along with videos, written material etc... The trial is non-expiring. So for example, in step 5, you'll get results from the blinds only, and not other positions. If you want the complete analysis, then you need to register. But from the trial you can see results. The ones that are blocked and not offered you'll see a please register. Maybe in your case your top leaks were not offered in the free trial, but you should have plenty if you just scroll down the list.

Is Leakbuster results-oriented to any extent? Meaning, if I attain a relatively high (7+) EV bb/100 will Leakbuster show a bias towards giving me a higher grade than if I had a much worse winrate but played my hands the exact same way?

No, it's not results oriented at all. It's going to simply look at areas where you're losing money that are common leaks postflop, and then look at statistical ranges where you're outside of typical winning ranges. It doesn't care what your results are and never looks at them. It's going to look at the significance of the impact of your leak. Some have more impact than others.

Yeah, if you decide to downgrade and use the .8079 version of HM2, you're going to get this error with the latest LB because of a table change HM2 did. There's no way around it right now. HM2 is supposed to be adding known hole cards back in for Bovada at some point, and when this happens it will be a non-issue. The only way to fix this is to update your HM2, which I'm assuming you don't want to do.

What does Leakbuster base it reference point on? Are they based on datamined hands? From which site? Are they recent ones that get constantly updated?

It really seems like a black box to me and I would like to know more about how the numbers that I get compared to are generated and where they come from.

Leak Buster FAQ: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/leak...oker-game.html

Yes, the stats are frequently updated. Our long time customers will tell you. But they are primarily datamined hands (tens of millions), across multiple sites, and multiple stakes. Leak Buster has different ranges depending on stake level.

Keep in mind though, the stat range info is 1/5th of Leak Buster. There's a ton of post flop analysis and other data that has nothing to do with stat ranges. But this is what Leak Buster does, and why it's so effective no matter what stake level you're playing. It's going to find costly leaks you're missing that have value. Here's an example from a couple of days ago from a random post (that you can google). I was just reading this on another forum this morning, and that's why I'm posting it:

"Yea i am definitely doing it way too often. For instance I might call the flop with vulnerable hands like 77 on a 6 high board or even second pair (99 on a J high board) and IF the turn card isn't a scare card i call turn and IF the river card also isn't scary then i might call IF he doesn't bet too big. There's a lot of IFs there and i think my reasoning was that i thought it was "standard" and "you can't raise, hard to get value from worse". I guess what i'm not doing enough of is as you say, turning these hands into semibluffs by raising or just folding them outright. But i'm glad leakbuster picked up on this since i think it was quite a major leak. "

If you have any specific questions though, I'm happy to answer.

I'm honestly not 100% sure. I'll try and let you know when I find out. We have a new feature going into this next build though. I'll explain it in more detail here soon, but it's pretty cool. It will make hand discussion a lot easier when you locate specific hand leaks.
