I just want to confirm that if i change the default hero name in ICC, it will create a new active player and the data will not mix with my default(hero) active player.

Correct... any new converted hand will go under that new name, which you can combine via an alias, or keep separate.

If it's expired, just open the app and there will be a renew button. You can also login to your account - my account -> my licenses and click renew. Or you can contact support and they can send you a renewal link.

We don't have any reports of issues. If you had everything open when the update happened, I'd advise shutting your programs down, rebooting and trying again.
