just re downloaded the converter after about 3 months or so of no use. Now for some reason im getting a windows load page after clicking the icon that says Bovada hand converter has stopped working then shuts down immediately after

You likely have some extra filter or something set somewhere. The converter isn't skipping over full ring hands. This thread would be going nuts if that was happening. Just double check and clear everything in PT4.

Uninstall and re-download and install. It's likely a corrupt download.

Ive tried this a couple times. I tryd troubleshooting the file and that didn't work ether..

Try another system. I'm not sure what to say because the file and installer are fine. Maybe a virus scanner or firewall are blocking it. Just eliminate as many variables as you can and run it clean until you know what's going on with your system.

ive tried everything.. kinda depressing I can always save all my bovada hands and then convert them later though correct? if anyone wants to help me with this problem im willing to throw u guys a 100. Also called a computer tech put the computer in safe mode and then re dled and still didn't work so im at a loss as to what could be causing this problem.

In safe mode it didn't work? What errors are you getting? It's a little confusing that it worked a few weeks ago, but not now. Again, I'd eliminate any of the major changes that might have happened during that time.

Just wondering I bought both the HUD and the hand history converter software.. When get hands while playing is checked it obviously, gets hands while playing.. why would I need the converter if it does this automatically?
It seems as if I havent used this software ever since I bought the hud..

it just says stops working. im going to pay 150 to have a techy scope it out over the phone in a day if anyone who is in the know with computers ill throw u a 100 if u help me before I pay the tech the 150. ill let u know what they say/do just incase this aggravation happens to another.

i keep getting these errors when i go from the covertor to pt3.a few every couple hands.always the same

The hand converter will allow you to import zone hands, and see opponent hole cards. If you don't want those, then you don't need the converter.

You shouldn't have to pay someone that much to check one thing out. What else is going on with your system? Do you have another system you can test things out on?

I posted a while back in the BCC thread of how i was having issues seeing known hole cards during review after importing into PT4. I confirmed "enable known hole cards" is checked in the converter (however it does give me a red message saying this could cause import errors, assuming this is standard). You also said to enable "auto archiving" in PS for PT4, i was unable to find this anywhere, perhaps you can let me know how to do so. The only other thing i could see to try was to change my hero name in the converter from something other than hero before i import. I'm guessing this isn't the issue, but will try anyway while i await your response.

To recap my situation in case you forgot: My first few imports went smoothly, little to no errors, was able to see known hole cards during review. Now i am getting mainly all duplicates, and i cannot see other ppls hole cards. I did not change any settings before having issues, and to my knowledge everything was set up properly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If it was working, and now it doesn't, then something changed correct? I'd go to the site, download and install the latest version again. Clear out your HH directory. The first directory listed in the converter where you import into PT4, just move all of those files to another directory. Then convert a new batch and import.

Tried deleting the software, re-downloading it, and importing with fresh HH's. Same thing...getting over 99% duplicates during import, and cannot see known hole cards other than mine. Seems like PT4 cannot differentiate between the original hands it saw while i was playing via BCC, and the fully processed hands from the converter. Not sure if this is an issue with the converter or PT4. I know you mentioned something about auto-archiving in PT4? Sorry for the trouble...im sure my problem is due to some form of user error lol.

i updated and still get a bunch of those errors,like over 100 in 30 k hands is that normal?all of them seem to be the same also

If you're worried about duplicates then you need to go to site options for poker stars on PT4, and set the auto archive folder to someone folder that isn't for the converter. The other options is just manually move the files from the converter directory somewhere else (the first directory that's listed on the converter in green). Also if you're using the card catcher and the hand converter, you need to have different hero names. I haven't tried the latest version of PT4 to see if this still works. You may need to have different database names for each that you want to use because the time stamping is the same for both programs.

Did you re-convert the previous hands? You have to re-convert the original ones, and then re-import. There's no known import issues or errors with the hand converter. If you get a new one from a new hand, then send it to support, but literally every hand I've looked at in this thread that's been sent has converted and imported fine. It's usually been a settings issue.

I posted my small blind in like the cutoff or something and the converter just changed it to say "posts small blind" which caused an error importing that hand. Don't know what stars calls it but I guess it causes an error if there are 2 small blinds in the hand history

not yet ive been away from my poker pc,but to do it correctly i can just find the folder marked original bovada hand history and convert that correct?

Hmmm... if you want to send me the hand I'll look at it, but we've been converting posts from every position since the product was introduced. I haven't heard of any issue in this area in all of that time. It might be some other anomaly in the HH, but I'd have to see it to say.

If you open the converter, the second directory that you have listed. It's the one that's not circled in neon green. If you left it to default locations it would be: c:\users\(your pc name)\documents\bovadahandhistory\processed.

I'm having trouble activating my license after replacing my computer. I bought the converter about 7 months ago, a few days ago my laptop broke and just I went and got a new one today. I dug up the e-mail with the license key and attempted to register but it's telling me I need to activate...I tried clicking 'activate over the internet' several times but it keeps giving me an error message. I'm guessing this is because it's still registered to my old laptop.

Freakdaddy can you please help me activate the software? Thanks
