Watched your twitch coaching, two questions - as far as I understood even with the progKO update it is still not possible to calculate KO situations early on in the tournament, pre ITM etc.? I get that there are other factors (such as covering other stacks and having a future bounty equity) that are harder to convert into chip amount but can you explain what's the value of a starting bounty in chips? As far as I can see there are two opinions - 100$ progKO mtt 50$ go to bounty and you can win half of that (25$) if you knock out a player, starting stack 10k so value of the bounty is a)you buy starting stack for half of your BI and full bounty is worth another full starting stack and when you try to knock someone out you should add 5k chips cause you can win half of their bounty, b)you bought in for 100$ and got 10k in chips so if you get 25% of the buyin in your account when knocking someone out, then it is worth 25% of the starting stack a.k.a. 2500 chips.

It will take someone literally forever to move from one random hand to another using these + or - buttons instead of just entering the required stacks. Stacks can be completely random so + and - buttons make very little sense. We have + and - buttons in raise editor, where the raise size is often a multiplicator of smallblinds. Stacks do not follow this fashion.

We are considering adding something like this. However you can open several tabs of ICMIZER, or launch several instances of it right now, as a workaround. Some update is definitly coming regarding this "tabbed" feature or reviewing several hands at the same time, but its not on our shortest todo list right now.

Just like this like on this betting site.

I do it once and then it tells me theres a new version and i need to restart, and then it asks for un and pw again, i check the remember box but it doesnt remember.

Hello Q,
Piosolver versus Icmizer 2?
i have used Icmizer1 a bit in the past year or two and am a bit familar with it more than Pio. But for 6max sng's mostly, tell me why i should buy one over the other?
looking forward to your sales pitch!

thanks

Hi well, to make a decision you need to understand what the products do.
PioSolver and ICMIZER comparison is strange, why not HM or pokerstove?
ICMIZER focuses on preflop all-ins and provides ICM calculations and FGS calculations with up to 6 depth. I believe its not the focus of PioSolver which focuses on postflop equilibrium and deeper stacks. Also the pricing is completely different for our products, so I am not sure why you wish to compare the tools. If you need improvements in tournaments push fold at late stage ICMIZER will definately be a good pick.

I just noticed that you have added $5 90 man pko to the mttsng section. Does this feature work when calculating situations pre ft using the chip ev method? You mentioned before that you could only calculate pko situations at fts.

Hi. PKOs are only supported for final tables. It doesn't make any sense to review them in Chip EV.

Ok thanks. Can you explain how you came up with the Ft calculations. I watched the twitch stream with Colin Moshman and it seems a little unclear and surprising in some spots where Colin thought we could call much wider in certain spots when we could win a sizeable bounty .

Yep, we ran into some surprising results during the webinar.
I am preparing an article about PKO math, I've checked everything and it appears that there is a lot of counterintuitive math going on in PKOs and all of the results during the coaching were correct, the article will help with that, and probably I'll record another video about them too since PKOs are surprisingly hard to understand.

Have just been exploring the PKO features in ICMizer and was also getting some surprising results. For example, in cEV, I was checking the calling ranges of BB vs a BTN shove ~12bbs with different bounties. Even giving BTN a ridiculously large bounty (300BI at early-mid stage) we were getting some super tight ranges (when we should be able to call super profitably ATC).

Does cEV mode calculate what's in the PKO box as $ and then convert it to chips for use in the calculation? When I did this manually and changed all of the bounties into chip values in that box, then it was appearing with ranges that seemed more realistic?

Obv, you are saying that there is quite a lot of counter-intuitive maths going on but gambling for such huge bounties makes perfect sense to me?

Hi Corpsey

Chip EV calculations in PKOs currently do not work as they should, PKOs can only be analyzed using ICM $ or % models. Chip EV mode should produce results in chips, making the results the same for any tournament. Right now in PKO tournaments it's not working as it should and it produces results which are different from other tournaments in chip EV mode. By its definition Chip EV mode scraps away any tournament information and should produce the same results as calculations for cash games. We are preparing the update to fix this behavior, it should be available next week.

Please only review PKOs in ICM % or $ Ev mode to use our IKCM model for PKO tournaments.
