Make sure you update to the latest version. We now display a convergence indicator "CI" during sampling.

Simply keep running samples until the CI value drops below 10 as a minimum.

We will do a re-work of the quick analysis function and will consider adding an export option for the results then. Can't give you an ETA for this yet.

Hi plexiq

I updated to the newest version. I don't get it, what is displayed at the bottom right. Heap size 438M of 1024M (the number is still moving around, after the calculation is done).

Thank you for an explanation

That's the memory status within HRC, in your case HRC reserved 1024MB of memory and 438MB are used. It's normal that this will fill up and automatically be cleared again, that's just temporary data being created and then garbage collected.

If the heap is ever shown as almost completely filled (bar all the way to the right) and it does NOT clear within a few seconds, that means HRC is running out of memory. You may need to increase the memory limit in this case:

Hi Helmuth, hope you are doing well

Is there any updated tutorial for the beta version?

This is slightly outdated but mostly still applies:

Hi plexiq

Quick question regarding 4way all-in with Basic Monte Carlo Hand.
When I want to calculate the spot 4ways, all I have to do is switch from 3 to 4 Players under Calculation Mode --> Hand Mode, right?

When I get results like in the screenshot I just have to run way more simulations, right?
Because the CI went down to like 3 I thought the spot is solved enough...

Thank you

Right, you just need to set max active players to 4+.

As for the screenshot, looks like this isn't well converged yet. You can definitely aim for lower CI for preflop-only hands.

Maybe try "reset strategy" once after the CI is reasonably low, that will then quickly clear out those leftover mixed hands.

When I tried clicking on the discord link it says I am unable to accept the invite.

That may have been a temporary issue, try again - the invite link is still valid.

If you still have troubles then try searching the server in discords "server discovery", it should show up there.

Just started playing again the last week or so, Have HRC upped their prices?

We've slightly adjusted the prices a few months ago, yes. First time in 10 years, fwiw

Note that the new Postflop related features in the beta are currently free to use with a regular license, but will require an upgraded license in the future.

Anyone ran a sim applicable to GG rake structure who is able to provider some assistance? I don't think unchecking 'no flop no drop' is enough to get accurate results. Maybe locking some ranges and running the sim under different parameters is crucial. The results just don't quite sit right with me.

So yeah, any GGers in the chat?

where are the payout structures saved? I click save and it saves them but then I can never find them. Thanks in advance

For most purposes I'd recommend using the import/export options in Tools: Structure Manager.

But if you need the actual file, the structures are saved in:
Code:
C:\Users\User\HoldemResources\.metadata\.plugins\net.holdemresources.calculator\structuredata\custom.json

I tried to generate some HU pre flop ranges (CI at about 1). I compared them to GTOWizard's, but am seeing some pretty big differences. There are a lot of hands that are 100% calls to an open, but GTOWizard has them as 100% folds. Why do you think this is? Here is my setup.

You didn't use any geo size, so there is no betting on turn or river. I'd expect GTOWiz used betting on those streets.

Thanks! It's looking a lot closer now. Didn't realize the section below geo sizing was for flop only.

Hi

I'm very interested in this software but not sure if my PC is powerful enough. I've watched a few YT videos of people using it and they say the Monte Carlo calculations take quite a bit of time / resources.

Here are my specs:

Device name: DESKTOP-CORSAIR
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7100 CPU @ 3.90GHz 3.90 GHz
Installed RAM: 8.00 GB

System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Edition: Windows 10 Home
Version: 22H2
OS build: 19045.2364

Many thanks in advance.

It's going to run on that hardware, but that CPU is going to take a while for larger calculations.

Check the multi core scores eg here:
https://browser.geekbench.com/

In terms of HRC performance, your CPU is probably around 5-10x slower than a current one.

Maybe consider running larger calcs on a server if you don't want to update.

Thanks for your speedy reply.

I think I'll mainly be using it for calculating shove/fold spots, open/shove/call spots when stacks get shallow.

An example of a hand I'll be using it for. Analyzing can I call here: https://www.pokerstarsreplayer.com/hands/5770aa47da

I've just downloaded the trial version and successfully analyzed that exact spot. It was still quite a way from the bubble and I needed a double-up, so I chose the ChipEV model. The calculation used "Fictitious play" (300 something or other lol) and it only took about 3 seconds. I played around with the villains' ranges and then recalculated the results. The results were spot on based on my "manual calculations" using pot odds and the necessary equity needed to call (using ranges with equilab)

So I think "simple" spots like that, I'll be fine with my PC?

Great software btw.

For simple spots there won't be any problem at all, your hardware is perfectly fine for that. Full preflop solves with Postflop betting will require some patience though, if you even want to go there. That only applies to the beta version anyway.
