Hi plexiq and thanks for the quick response,

When I made the random stacksizes I get the stacksize-table filled with 759 stacks which are sorted by amt: 1. one biggest Stack, 759 smallest stack, just a few BBs. Because I knew I was placed in 590 I thought I should change the stacksize of every place lower 590 to a stacksize smaller then mine (which was 16k), to get a real simulation environment. The randomized stack at 590 was around 21k and got lower at places 591, 592, 593 and so on.
So I first clicked at the row of place 590 and selected an amount of rows by pressing "shift-key" and clicking at the last place 759. Same as I'd select rows in Excel...
When I pressed a keynumber afterwards, a Pop-up occured which gave me the option to set, decrease or increase the amount of the stacks.... Then the questions written in my earlier post occured.

But now I also tried the "Shape" option and "randomizing" a few times after another. When I selelected an shape value of 0.6 the stacksize of place 590 was around 16k and got lower to place 759. This is wat I wanted to get. I think this is more easy to change the field stack sizes than by decreasing/increasing as I wrote above.

Try generating the other stacks with different shape parameters (note the auto selected value and tune it up / down a bit), check if that makes a difference for results.
Did it. If the field is more balanced, or the grap is more flat, than the calling ranges are getting bit looser, but just a bit.

I think I got what I want, thanks.

I'm trying to paste a hand into HRC and getting the no valid hand history error.

The hand was played on Bovada while using Ignition Card Catcher and HM3.

I hope it's ok to post the HH so you can see. Thank you

The hand you posted above already works fine in the latest version. Make sure you have version 2.0.0.202004171040 at Help: About: Installation Details.

Is it possible to define the payout structure as an xml or txt file and load it via HRC? And is it possible to create the prizepool with relativ values like 1. 22% 2. 18% 3-6 10% for example. Additionally to that a prizepool amout of 1000$ calculates the prize per place automatically?

You can import/export the custom structures at Tools: Structure Manager, should be straightforward to create your own files via a script or text editor.

Scaling the price pool is currently not supported, but that's something we can add relatively quickly.

This would be very nice. Often you've same amount of places paid but with more rebuys/addons/runners and things. Thanks

Does HRC max out at 3 actions?
So when CO, BU and SB shove it can't calculate BBs calling range?

The standard Math engine is limited to max 3 active players, the new Monte Carlo mode can be configured to allow any number of active players.

Replied to your email. If MPN has regular HHs by now then we are happy to add support for them, but right now they only store HHs in a .dat database file afaik.

How can i calculate this spot? Since late is still open, i dont know how the payouts are going to be.
So do i put all the 10290 prize pool to the 1st place?

IF you want to do winner-takes-all then use 4900$ regular prizes and setup the bounty pool separately. Entering the current prizes is likely better than using winner-takes-all though.

Ideally you'd want to calculate with the estimated prizes and total players at the end of the registration period, but that's a lot of guesswork.

Hi,

Please help me to understand the correct way(s) to analyse hands from KO tournaments.

If I am far away from the bubble, the Equity Model should be "Future Game Simulation 'FGS'"?

If I am ITM, can I chose "Multi Table (MTSNG/MTT) 'ICM'"?

And if I am in the Final Table, can I chose "Malmuth-Harville 'ICM'"?

Is my approach correct? Can I use these 3 Equity Models to run my KO hands?

Thanks in advance,
BoemioLoki

Use the MTT model before the final and FGS on the final table. FGS is basically a superior version of ICM, so you'd rarely want to use vanilla ICM.

It's almost certainly better than using winner-takes-all, sure.

Novice question,

Uploaded a HH. In this case it shows a BB calling range, but can't figure out how to get it to show the strength of the individual hands. (eg. if Q9s is +0.02% etc..).

Seems to be set just on 100/0%

Thanks for your help!

Select the range and check the range view grid component on the right side, EVs are shown there. You can view additional information by moving your mouse over individual hands. You do not need to open the range editor for this (ie what's shown in your screenshot).

Hi

I just wanted to clear something up

for scenarios with more than 3 players Do I need to use Monte carlo mode always or only when there is more than 3 players actively involved in the pot

put another way can I calculate shoving ranges for a full 6 max table using the math engine
HoldemResources Calculator [HRC] Quote

The player limit concerns only players who are active in the pot. The Math engine is perfectly fine for calculating 9-handed hands as long as 3-way all-in ranges are relatively tight.

How can I edit ranges?
I imported the tournament hands and final table I would like to edit some ranges but it looks locked.
HoldemResources Calculator [HRC] Quote
05-07-2020 , 09:05 AM
Simply double click a range to edit it, or right click it to see all options.

You may be still be in the import overview, in that case right click the hand you want to open and select Open Hand to run a full calculation. You can not edit ranges for hands calculated with Quick Analyze, you need to do a full calculation first.

Please post a screenshot if you still have troubles.
