lets say buyin is 109$, 9$ goes to rake.
30% new structure: 50$ goes to regular prize pool. we win 35$ when we knockout someone and our bounty increase for 15$. so from total buy ins, regular prize pool is 50%, bounty prize pool is 15%, and bounty worth (paid immediately) 35%.
so if i enter 35% for Instant (%) i guess hrc will assume that bounty prize pool is 35% and regular prize pool 65% of total buyins, which is not the case here.
Surely - as always - where the money to make the prize pools actually comes from is irrelevant. Whether we paid in the money ourselves with whatever particular split, or whether there was an overlay, or whether some millionaire put up the money for the bounties or in fact everything because he likes watching people suffer, or whether the bounties are at their current levels because that was the initial level or because everyone has already knocked at least one person out, is all irrelevant.
What actually matters is that you are sitting at a particular table with a particular stack and bounty on your head and particular opponent stacks and bounties on other people's heads, as part of a tournament that has a particular payout structure and a particular rule about how much of a won bounty goes on your own head.
Forget how you got here and try to end up with as much of that money as you can - I haven't played with this feature in HRC but I'm sure Plexiq will confirm that getting a big share of that money is the only thing it's going to consider when giving advice, not how you got here.
