Can anybody tell me, what kind of stats i should be looking at, when i am analyzing my stats in HEM? I play midstakes nl 6max.

Maybe there is some material on the internetz on how to do a HEM Analysis on your own?

Solutions:
1. Reboot your computer
2. If that doesn't help look for the hidden system file postmaster.pid in the postgresql data folder, delete it and reboot your computer again.
3. Check the postgresql service in the windows services (control panel->administration). Sometimes it helps to change the Logon As.. to "local system account"
4. Check our FAQ:

Thank you I was able to figure this problem out, however now when I go to start HEM i get an error message saying "error creating Stat Ranges xml file: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config\StatRanges.xml' is denied.

I can't see the table finder or anything when I go to start importing.

I'm having some trouble with the time. Every time I change the import time adjust to 17 (my time zone is GMT+12) (this is on poker stars) it changes it to 1. I'm not sure when it changes, if it's after I close HEM or what but it works for a little while (the correct time) but it is very annoying. Is this a known issue and is there a way to fix it?

Thats a permission problem. under vista and windows 7 make sure that holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. run the windows explorer and navigate to your holdemmanager installation directory. right click the holdemmanager.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "run as admin" from the popup menu under compatibility tab.

The HM2 beta should work with Omaha too. Please zip and mail the original handhistory files (you find them in the HM archive folder or in the handhistory folder of your poker client) together with a link to this thread and an explanation of the problem to support@holdemmanager.net. We will then try to reproduce the problem.

I'm not aware of any problems with this function.
Please update to 1.12.05: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe
and if its still not working: you can also change the timezone of your Stars client to your local time and HM should now read the hands with the correct time without adjusting the import time.

Hand History files for any tourney with more than 1 table will not have enough information for HM to know your place/prize. Some sites, like Pokerstars, write summary files that contain the results. If your site does not write summary files you will have to manually edit your MTT results - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...lts+Sub-Tab%29

If you play at pokerstars: You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and add the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+Summary+Setup

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

My HUD and HEM in general work fine, but I just tried to vacuum my database and HEM isn't showing up in PgAdmin.

I can purge hands and everything fine, but I want to free up some space on my HDD and I probably have around a million hands on there that I need to get rid of. Have already tried upgrading HEM and PgAdmin.

I guess you have 2 postgresql versions installed and HEM runs with the one running on Port 5432? If thats the case you need to add this postgresql server manually to pgadmin. You can check this in your HEM database management.

Are the hands being imported?
please clear your filters (filter->clear) one time although it seems like no filters are defined.

This seems to be the problem, yes. My HEM runs on 5432 and PGAdmin is looking at 5433 by default. It started when I upgraded PGAdmin, I think. Would rolling back or uninstalling PGAdmin fix it? If I uninstalled it I don't know how I'd access the other version I seem to have.

Alternatively, is there a guide to how to manually add a server to PGAdmin?

EDIT: Think I've got it working now. TY for assistance.

Okay, it initially appeared to be working but no longer is. I managed to create a new Server on port 5432 which recognised my HEM database, and I started to vacuum it, but realised I hadn't purged hands yet so cancelled the vacuum, and now when I start HEM HEM is unable to connect to it. I also tried simply changing the current PostgreSQL server from port 5433 to 5432 but that also resulted in a message saying 'Server doesn't listen'. Now I can't get PGAdmin to or HEM to connect to anything.

I actually uninstalled PostgreSQL but it's still appearing in my start menu - the version on the start menu says version 8.4, but the default database name in the program itself is PostgreSQL 9.0. I'm massively confused.

When I load HEM I get 'Sorry, a connection to 127.0.0.1 could not be made. Would you like Holdem Manager to start the service?' -> OK -> 'The service could not be restarted' -> OK -> 'Holdem Manager has restarted the service'.

Hello,
I have recently Purchased Hold'em Manager version 1.12.04.. and
I want to know 'How To Disable the HUD'?????.. I have tried the following:

1) Went to HUD options and unchecked "launch HUD with Auto Import".. it didn't work
2) Went to HUD options > Player Preferences > Use For, I changed Site and unchecked all the boxes.. Nothing Works.. I'm playing on 888 poker if that helps..

I'm on Tilt, and If I don't Disable this HUD.. I will blowup................

I would like a Reply to my Question ASAP..

Thank You.

Are HUDs no longer allowed on ongame? My hands are importing to the P5JavaClinetSettings / Handhistory folder perfectly fine. They import to the newest file "handhistory0.txt". Right when they start importing a file appears below "handhistory0.txt" called "handhistory0.txt****k". When i try to deleate it i get the message "File in use: the action cantbe completed because the file is open in Goalwin".

Im able to manually import them after i close goalwin by just copy pasting them into a new document and importing it, but i was to be able to auto import.

Any suggestions? I have 1.12.05.

thanks.

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please try all the following steps - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...rt+PostgreSQL+

This should stop the Table Manager from launching, which is what controls the HUD.

If you don't want any HUD to show just close the Table Manager. If you cant see the Table Manager look for the HM logo in the tray by the clock.

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English.

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

Try the table finder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...r+to+Show+HUD+

Make sure you follow the directions exactly.

Pick the table name in the table finder window to highlight it

If you don't see a table name listed, please drag the red X to the table and click OK. Open the Table Finder again and the list should be populated with the table name now, so you can select it.

Left-click and drag the red X to that table window

Click OK

You probably need to add the new hand history folder to the HM auto import list because your ongame client updated their software.

Please send your Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.
