A few questions...

On "Filter by Date", is there any way to store a saving for this setting similar to the other filter options? If there isn't, it would be nice if something like this were implemented in a future edition. Also, it would be nice if the cash game and tourney filter by dates were not connected. Recently I have noticed I try to set a specific time and date on one, and the other is changed too, then I have to go back through all the tabs and change it again. It's minor, but relatively annoying.

Are there plans for hold'em manager to be compatible with Windows 7 soon after that OS is officially released?

1) Please update to the latest beta - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe.
2) If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.
3) If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=174

No, this is not currently an available feature.

You can suggest it, here - http://holdemmanager.uservoice.com/p...er-suggestions

I would say 'same reply as above', but I will do you one better and forward these ideas straight to the developer. I guess these are a bit more like 'current feature improvemnts', more than they are a new feature request.

I am guessing there are 100's of people already using HM on Windows 7 already, judging by our forums and my recent remote support sessions. It should work fine, for the most part, as long as you follow the same setup precautions as Vista. One thing I have noticed, is that W7 has a hammer lock on the permissions for \program files directory 9and a few others). You do not want to be saving your poker site HHs anywhere in there. I would recommend the common Vista/W7 location of: C:\users\username\appdata\local\pokersite\hand history

All right... good to know. Sorry, I just wasn't sure how windows 7 compatibility was going, and if it were going to be officially compatible or not. Thanks again.

Were the errors: 'couldnt replace xxxxxx.xxx'?

1) Clear your web cache, and download the beta update again, with another browser if possible.
2) Right-Click > Save Link As to save it to a different folder.
3) Reboot, and run the installer first thing.
4) Make sure the update is installing to the proper \holdem manager folder

Yes, you can downgrade, but we don't recommend it unless really necessary.

The system is currently not automated, because the automated systems we have tested were not reliable enough. The owner/developer handles all licenses personally.

If you have not received your license in 12 - 24 hours, please send your details to sales@holdemmanager.net and CC roygon@gmail.com to be sure it goes through.

Vista updates are ridiculous lately.

First try a simple reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=171

Please try following all of these FAQs, step by step:

1) http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=34
2) http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=8261

If that doesn't help at all we may want to schedule a remote support session to assist you.

No, not yet. It is high on the list of requests. The best you can do for now is go to the sessions tab and manually do the math.

Yes, in case anyone else doesn't know. Morny quit Hm to play poker full time. I took over handling the HM Forums and this thread full time, as well as part time remote support sessions. Full time remote support this week because the support manager is on vacation.

To try and reimport the hands, you will need to copy them to a new fodler, to trick HM into not assuming them to be duplicates.

To get all your missed hands imported

1) Right-Click your Desktop > New > Folder.
2) Go to your \HMArchive folder - To verify the path, go to Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: _________.
3) Open that folder and copy the hands (folders of hands) you think it has missed. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31). Also get any hand files that are in your \poker site\hand history folder.
4) Paste them into your new desktop folder > HM > Import From Folder.

3) If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=174
4) Post the answers in a new thread on the HM Forums - http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/index.php

Yes. It is part of the Pacific network. You are no longer required to use a hand grabber, since they began writing proper hand history files.

I just got down a month ago with having endless problems with HEM and I guess here we go again. HEM crashed while playing and now whenever I open it, it crashed again. I cant access "Cash Games" without it crashing. I am updated to the latest beta.

Ok, so i got a new a laptop and downloaded HEM (which i purchased months ago) but can't figure out how to bring back my old database. It made me create a new one when i downloaded it, but i still am using the serial number from the HEM that i bought 8 months ago. How can i get my old database back with all my info on it? Thanks!

I upgraded my desktop Ram from 512 MB to 2 GB because my laptop lags too much when i have the HEM and Hud running. I notice my computer is faster, however, my HEM always lags. I use Windows XP by the way.

What i mean is i assume i open it, it takes a while to load. Every time i click on a different tab like tourney or players, it LAGS about 7 seconds every single time. Most of the time, it just freezes and has that message on the top right corner Not Responding but usually gets back to normal after another 10 seconds. I cannot click on a tab without it freezing.

Also, when i have my HUD on, it lags in the sense that i cannot click fold , call or raise easily. For example, when i have my HUD turned off, everything is fast when i click. But when my HUD is on, most of the time i need to click the fold, call or raise VERY HARD to perform the action. I 24 table sngs by the way.

How do you do a database backup where you will only get the stats but not individual hand histories saved?
