Bought HEM months ago, use it on both my laptop and work pc.

Work pc breaks, now its fixed but I need to re-install HEM on it.
Have been playing on my laptop for the past month.

Question 1:
Do I key in the same purchase code when downloading and installing HEM on my work pc again?

I have my whole database on an USB portable external drive.

Question 2:
Do I still have to install postgr on my work pc? Can I just plug in my portable drive which I have it set on I-Drive and use that?

I was having the same problem. Went out bought an external drive just for HEM to take care of that problem.

Logging:

I would suggest you turn off logging on your SQL installation as well as these other performance improvements - Top 10: HEM performance increase tips


To turn off logging, follow these instructions. This is the first thing I do anytime I install SQL for someone.

- Start > My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > UnCheck 'Hide Extensions for known file types' > OK

- C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\postgresql.conf > Right-Click > Open With.. > NotePad > Check 'Always use this program'

- Scroll about half way down to ~Lines 245 - 260:

- The last line of this block of code, for the 'logging_collector', must be changed from On to Off.

File > Save; File > Close

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8.3 > Reload Configuration.


- Start > My Computer > C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\pg_log, or C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\data\pg_log, if you have 64 bit Vista. Delete all files in that folder. And it might be a good idea to empty your recycle bin at that point, or use a 3rd party utility like CCleaner to clean up all your junk/temporary files. You want to do this before you get to the vacuum and defrag process.


Now you can do the Full-Vaccum/Analyze, Reindex, Stop SQL Service, Defrag, and Performance Tuning.

How do you import or export a HUD popup configuration file?

Manually.

The files are in: C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config

Copy/paste any CustomFileName.POP

Hi I just recently started using HM and had a quick question about how the HUD/stat tracking works.

I noticed the 2nd session I played all of my own stats were reset back to 0/0/0.. on the HUD. I thought it would keep cumulative stats on everyone? Does it just do that for yourself or am I correct that it's doing it for all players? And is this desirable or do most people have it displaying cumulative stats?

It shows your stats for the individual tables (so you can see your image on each table) but shows everyone elses cumulative stats.

Can you get the ability to add notes to specific hands? seems like it would be really easy to do, and very handy

Hi, a quick question hopefully not a stupid one. I want to filter my hands for just 1 pair (including pockets) regardless of if I went to showdown or not and see the various stats such as winrate and so forth.

Can someone tell my why when i open HEM it keeps importing files? Like it says it takes 1 hour to import 2000 something files. It is lagging my computer.

Not currently, but I believe it has been suggested.

I am not the best with these filters, as I rarely reviewed my own play, but I think this is close to what you want.

You need to setup an archive folder so it can move the processed HH files.

Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder > Select:

Typically it is set to C:\HMArchive, but you can put it anywhere you want.

fozzy, i have those settings already. Can it be something else? the thing is right now when i start auto importing to import hands , it is trying to process the 1900 files from last time? How can i get it fixed?

You haven't yet setup an Archive folder for your original, processed HH files, so HM has to scan them every time you auto import.

when i am running and start autoimporting hands while playing, this happens as well. So nohud stats show because its still importing the other 1900 hands which i assume is from my old sessions. If i just autoimport while not playing, this still happens.

hud not working for the new ftp update , any fixes?

I'm trying to set up HM and have gotten to the "connect to postgreSQL" screen, and it's saying the user name and password is incorrect, do I want HM to reconfigure it to the
postgres and postgrespass entries. I select, "yes" but it still wont connect.

Manually empty the folder so it won't keep doing it: Cut the files from your poker site HH folder, and paste them into your archive folder.

I have no issues. I am playing a sng and cash game right now using 1.09 beta 21.

how do i empty the folder fozzy? Same with cutting the files. I have no clue what that means.
