In the trial we are only allowed to import 5k hands. Does this mean I can no longer use the HUD after I have reached 5k hands (since I cannot import data on the players at my current tables)?

I tried to vacuum analize my database. HM said there was an error and I had to do it through "pgadmin." What are the steps to do this? I think pgadmin3 is a folder in postgresSQL.

still cant login the database, anyone who can help? $5 on the pokerstars account of who helps me to fixing the problem (could be matter of seconds). Perhaps someone wants to help me with Mikogo (desktop sharing application).

When I click OK, the popup box just disappears and I get back at the database control panel.

The setting in the config file is already set to <setting name="CurrentDatabase">SomeDBName</setting>, problem still excists..

I do not use Vista, I use XP.

Whats wrong? I log in like this exactly the same way in PT3 and it works...

Is server name="locahost" good? Because at default it was some IP adress (which didnt work either). With PT3 I use localhost as server name and it works.

I also tried restarting without opening PT3 but still I get the same error.

Oh, the error seems to be HEM unrelated
When I try to login in pgAdmin III, it says:

Error connecting to server: FATAL: database "template1" does not excist
DETAIL: The database subdirectory "base/1" is missing.

Guess I'll just have to reinstall PostgreSQL. Just ignore my messages, thanks for the help!

Performance is sucking again whilst datamining FTP. I'm looking at hands every 60 seconds, HMImport is spiking CPU usage 100% at that time. Getting a paltry 0.3 h/s. Ooof.

LuckyDevil, you first have to make a copy of the popup you are trying to change. Then, go make your changes and hit "close." Next, go to HUD options-Player preferences. Click on the stat "let's use for example VPIP" GO to the right hand side of the screen where it says "Options for VPIP" in bold letters. There's a box that says "Default_Preflop." Drag down and you'll find a list where your new pop-up chart will be listed. Click on the one you made and just hit save. You're all done. Link for picture:http://208.109.95.123/faq/afmmain.aspx

The big popup is the default_preflop, default_postflop or whatever.

You can clone and edit these or make a new one.

Once you have the popup how you want it you have to tell go into the player hud preferences and change which popup layout is assigned to that stat.

How are 6max hands differentiated from FR ones in HEM? I sem to have some hands listen as 6max when they should be FR.

Should we just stop asking questions in this thread and direct them all to the HM forums? I notice Roy hasn't done a question-addressing post in forever.

My laptop is on the verge of dying (I think), and to be safe, I'd like to backup the relevant files I need for HM so I can install it if/when I get a new laptop. Can someone advise me on the best way to do this?

Can I simply copy the database file from the postgres folder, or do I need to do more?

Download the update installer. The trial is now unlimited 15 day trial. If it stops importing hands, then the HUD wont work.

Start > programs > PostgreSQL > Pgadmin >

connect to the server, connect to your DB, and then perform maintenance. I do it all thru right click menus.

It is possible to copy the SQL data folders, if you are installing the exact same version of SQL on the new machine. _dave_ explained the process to me a few months ago, in this very thread, after I wasn't able to restore my DB that way.

I would make sure that you Export all your HHs from HM, and Compress/Archive them, and put them on removable media. In case you are not successful trying to restore the DB data files, you will be able to reimport them to recreate the DB if necessary.

Thanks Fozzy. I tried a quick search, but couldn't find anything quickly and got impatient and posted. I have all my raw HHs, and I just transferred them to a memory stick, so I should be good to go if copying the SQL data folder doesn't work.

Here was my convo w/ dave regarding it, when I had done it wrong.

8GB is larger than mine, but I doubt it is HUGE by any means. Also, if you have PT2/PT3 databases, they are also stored on those SQL\Data folders

Although even that is uneccessary if you have the whole of postgresql on D: somewhere - you simply need to recreate the user "postgres" on the new XP installation, and reinstate the service to start automatically (or whatever it is). Haven't done it for ages myself however.

Another easy way to do it is to run pg_dumpall in a command line before format, then onnce you have a new postgresql installation up and running run pg_restore (also from command line). This is massively faster than re-importing hands, and is required for upgrading a major postgres version - e.g. 8.2 -> 8.3

Hey rvg, can't you get a way on HoldemManager filters to get something like that "Did cold call =true, opponent with pfr < 12"

What I want is a filter that let me see how I'm doing against player who 3bet a lot, or against players who raise a little, something like that.
Would that be possible? That would be super awesome.

Hey is there a way to specify the minimum number of hands on a player before it gets displayed in the HUD? thanks

ok so I have been playing around with the custom pop-up configuration and have added donk turn and donk river to pop-up statistics. I have yet to see anyone that has donked turn or river for more than 0% and I know it has to happen b/c some ppl I have 5k+ samples on. Any reasoning to this? I imagine donking the turn can only be done OOP and that's when you call a PFR OOP check/call flop and lead out turn.

Any plans to add 'hours played' to reports? It would be nice to see how long i played on a given day. It would also be nice to have a 'hands per hour' average report.

Edit: I just found 'minutes played' in the sessions tab. It would still be nice to have them available in the report tab though.

I read on the official website that you can install holdem manager on 2 different PC but what happened if I format my HDD ?

For example, I install HM on my PC then I format my HDD and reinstall Windows. Afterwards, I reinstall HM. Will this second install be recognised as "second PC" ?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

3. Resizable fonts for every stat in the HUD.

4. Different layout managers for HU, 6max or 9 handed games.

5. The replayer needs to have its own stat layout. If I move the layout stats on the replayer, it moves the stats on the poker client.

When I get over 12 tables with the HUD up, Stars Planner can't seem to handle it (Planner works perfectly with 20 tables and no HUD up.) Every time the 13th or 14th table opens it goes berzerk. It happens with different layouts I use so it's not the layout. Any suggestions? Basically I can't use HEM unless I can solve this issue. I have a brand new computer so that isn't the problem.

When will tourney summaries be included in HEM? I love this program compared to PT2 and PT3, it just kinda sucks that I can't review my SNG and MTT results.
