Hello

Updating to the newest stable release (3.1.31.0) has caused me issues with the HUD.
Playing on pokerstars zoom cash tables, the seating is messed up (it does show Hero's HUD also, even tho it's disabled in the HUD editor).

Rerolling it to the latest (3.1.30.0) solved my issue.
Are you aware of this bug? Is it gonna be fixed or should I just skip this update?

Please make sure your poker site's preferred seating options are configured and matched to your HM3 - Tools - Site Settings - My Seat options - as explained in this FAQ. PokerStars Preferred Seating should be set to [x] 'Always Auto-Center Me' and HM3's - Tools - Site Settings... - PokerStars - My Seat should be set to [x] 'Automatically Detect'.

1) Open one Table, and play at least one hand for HM3 to import and update the HUD to show your Hero data*.
2) Manually adjust the positions for each player if necessary and save/lock the layout as instructed in this FAQ.
3) Now you can open further tables but you will always have to play at least one hand for the stats to be moved to the correct positions.

*Make sure that you always wait until AFTER you have played a hand and see your own Hero HUD before you ever move any HUD panels. By default, the HUD can show before you have played a hand to aid in table selection but it might not align properly until after you have played your big blind hand if the table had to 'rotate' to auto-center you in your seat at that table. You can disable this pre-fetched HUD if you disable the HM3 - Tools - Site Settings... - PokerStars - Optional Settings menu.

If you continue to have problems:

Please see our HUD Troubleshooting FAQ and if that does not help then please send the requested logs, screenshots, and hand history files in a support ticket as instructed at the bottom of that FAQ with a link to this forum thread and your forum username.

IT needs to look at my work computer so I'll have to remove Pokerstars and this program. If I uninstall this do I need to back anything up so I don't lose my stats and notes?

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data. This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. I recommend you do this at least once a month and keep the last 2 or 3 most recent backups (and your \HM2Archive folder) stored on an external drive and/or cloud storage site like dropbox or google drive.

My HEM3 HUD works just fine but I can't see any reports for any cash games I've played, (haven't played any tourneys yet.) The only thing that shows any data is the opponent list, I can't see any data for any hands anywhere else within the software.

If you have already played some hands for that site and the HUD was working, you just need to switch the active player and/or create an alias if you play multiple sites, as instructed in this guide.

So recently there was a HEM3 update that shows up after opening HEM3 and it ask if you want to install it now or later or not. My HEM3 subscription expired not long ago and I didn't renew it so it wouldn't download even if I click install correct?

Now the thing is does new the new HEM3 update correctly record stars buyins, rebuys/add ons correctly or it still doesn't? The current version I'm using of HEM3 still does not record winnings/losses correctly because it doesn't record rebuys and add ons?

I can't answer that unless you send me some of the original hand history and tournament summary files with screenshots and details of the errors as instructed at the end of this guide.

Hello. I know that HM2 is no longer supported but is there anyone who knows how to solve the issue of 2 players' HUDs overlapping in some hands?

I see nothing like this so I can't get past step 1, opening backup manager. I suppose it doesn't look like that because I have HM3, not HM2.

https://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/que...peningDatabase

My choices are filt, view, tools, HUD apps, help. I don't have a "home" selection

Can I just go to Tools then select "backup database" or is there more that needs to be done to have a complete backup?

Sorry, it seems that I fired off the old HM2 canned reply for backups out of habit, instead of the current reply for HM3 backups.

- You can make a backup of the active database and settings at any time by using the Tools - 'Backup Database...' menu then restore it using the Tools - 'Restore Database...' option.
- Individual HUD Profiles can also be exported from the HUD - HUD Editor - Options button menu.
- All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. By default, your \HM3Archive is in C:\HM3Archive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Network\Month\DayOfMonth (example: C:\HM3Archive\SiteName\HM3Archive\2016\07\31). It is configured in the Tools - Settings - Import menu.
- You can also export your player notes and/or your hands from the HM3 - 'Tools' menu.

If you also want to manually backup the database/settings files:
- Your actual uncompressed HM3 databases are stored in C:\Users\{UserName}\Documents\Holdem Manager 3\Databases\.
- Your personalized HM3 settings/files are stored in C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\Max Value Software\Holdem Manager\3.0\.
- If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory.

If you buy an HM3/OM3 Small Stakes license and want to upgrade to an all-stakes license later you will have to pay the difference plus $10 extra for doing it in two transactions instead of all at once. There will also be a slight additional pro-rated fee for any remaining time on your Support & Maintenance (S/M) plan as the higher stakes licenses have a higher S/M plan fee.

Hi Everyone,

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I've searched pretty hard in this thread and haven't found an answer. I recently switched to ACR (well, BlackChip Poker) and I am having a problem with Hand Histories. The poker client software just isn't saving them? It isn't working on my mac or my PC. Changing the HH folder location does not fix the issue. A search on google shows that a lot of people are having this issue, but I haven't found a solution yet. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

(Just as more data - I also CAN'T disable the "save Hand History" checkbox in the Poker client settings. If I disable the check box, hitting "Apply" or "Ok" does nothing, unless I re-check the box. Then I can close the settings.)

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you all!

I'm sorry for the lengthy and detailed instructions that follow, but I want to ensure that I cover all the possible solutions, starting with the most straightforward one. Please bear with me, as I don't have any personal experience with MACs.

a) Holdem Manager 3 requires the \Documents folder to be a local folder and not a shared folder.

To use HM3 with Parallels, you have to disable the shared \Documents folder between OS X and Windows.

Please follow the guide from their website with possible solutions:
https://kb.parallels.com/en/112983

Specifically:
2. Isolate Windows from Mac to exclude Mac OS X influence. (Virtual Machine > Configure… > Options > Security > check on Isolate Mac from Windows)

b) If you continue to have problems:

1) Restart the computer.
2) Reinstall your WPN poker client.
3) Update your WPN poker client and close it
4) Restart HM3 and ensure HM3 and the HM3 Server (Auto Import/HUD) are fully started.
5) Launch your poker client(s).

c) If you continue to have problems:

Try creating a new folder on your computer such as C:\WPNHands and C:\WPNTourneys then setup your WPN client to save both the hands/results here in their settings/options and setup HM3 to Auto Import from there in the Tools - Site Settings - Auto Import Folders menu - https://kb.holdemmanager.com/knowled...file-locations

Make sure you 'Remove' all the unused auto-import folders for the site's default hand history path. Any duplicate paths for the same site can cause the HUD to fail sometimes, even though the hands are being imported to the database.

d) If none of that helps:

Please reproduce the issue and screenshot the tables/HM3 then send the requested logs, screenshots, and hand history files in a support ticket as instructed at the bottom of this FAQ - https://kb.holdemmanager.com/knowled...shooting-guide

Is there any way to import hands played on Unibet into HM3? I know they don't allow HUD's whilst playing but I'm wondering if hands can be extracted and imported at all.

No, we do not support their hand history format as the last we heard in 2022 was that:

"It is not possible to bulk download hand histories, only to copy & paste one hand at a time."

If I delete the folders from 2021 & 2022 will that affect the stats I have for players? I won't be referring back to hands from back then for my own knowledge, but if the program needs them then I won't delete them.

What specific path are those 2021 and 2022 folders in that you want to delete? There shouldn't be any folders named 2021 and 2022 in the 'C:\Users\{UserName}\Documents\Holdem Manager 3\Databases\' path you quoted so I will assume that you are referring to subfolders in your C:\HM3Archive folder, is that correct?

Deleting subfolders of your C: HM3Archive folder will not affect your current database, but it will mean that you can never import those hands again to a new database or computer. I personally never delete my original hands from my archive; I just copy or move them to my Google Drive and/or external drives in case I ever need to rebuild my lifetime database. My lifetime database (and my google drive archive) has hands from as far back as 2007, but my live play database is much smaller, containing only the last ~25,000 hands or so that I have played.

If you are referring to some other path for these 2021 and 2022 folders, please be more specific and maybe include some pics before I comment on whether you should or should not delete them.

I have 2 HM3 folders:

C:\HM3 Files
C:\HM3Archive

The 2021, 2022 and 2023 folders are located at C:\HM3Archive\Pokerstars\, i.e. C:\HM3Archive\Pokerstars\2021, C:\HM3Archive\Pokerstars\2022, C:\HM3Archive\Pokerstars\2023.

I have no idea what files you might have here as that is not a default path. I will assume that you keep your 'MyHM3Database.hmdb' files in there instead of the default 'C:\Users\{UserName}\Documents\Holdem Manager 3\Databases' folder, so I would not delete any files from that folder unless you are sure you don't need the files any longer.

Yes, you can delete those without affecting your current database but I do not know why you would ever want to delete any of the original hand history files from your archive folder. If free space is a concern I would suggest you move them to an external drive or cloud file hosting service like Google Drive in case you ever need the files again later.

What if your current database file becomes damaged and you need to import the hands again to recreate your database? What if your computer has issues and/or you get a new computer and want to create an HM3 database on a reformatted or new computer?
