On 888, it does show a green check mark.



For My Seat, I made it Autocenter as mentioned in the guide.



I then clicked on the Import HM2 Huds. When I did this, I have several custom huds that i configured with hem2. But there is only one hud configuration that I use and I use that for every site whether its 888 or stars. Lets call that hud layout 2 as the name for it. I clicked on that.



When I open an 888 table, I see it shows HUD in bold red in top middle of the table and it has a hud which is the default it seems. I click on it and click on hud layout 2 which is the layout I imported earlier. When I do this, I notice the hud does look like the one im using with hem2. But the main issue is... the hud is not where its suppose to be for each player. It seems like its a bit off to the left of each player? Shouldn't the hud be exactly the same place on the 888 table like when I was using Hem2?


I don't even remember the exact position of my hud when i used hem2 hud on the 888 tables. But I had it set where the hud blocked very few things on the table. I assume I cannot get the exact hud layout like with hem2 unless I took like a screenshot of my hud when using hem2 on the 888 tables then?


I notice I had to click on unlock layout before I could move the hud positions. HEM2 didn't do this?





The set profile as default for this table type, I clicked on that on the individual table.


But im confused with the last 2 pictures you posted. Again i want to use the same
HUD LAYOUT 2 that is the on i use with hem2 on all my tables regardless of site.

Under it now shows

Also is there any reason why it doesn't show the last 3 winners of the last 3 pots? In HEM2, I had it where you see the last winners of the last 3 pots and shows the pot size amount and also the vip pfr average of the table. But it doesn't show this on the table? Its suppose to show in the top middle of where the Bolded Red Hud is.... but its not there?


Now when i had first started the hud for hem3, before i switched to Hud 2 Layout... it did show I believe the winner of the last 2 pots in the top left corner of the screen. I thought since I am using the Hud 2 Layout (HM2 Import), well that would also be there?

No, HM3 will not know what positions the HUD used in HM2. You need to adjust that manually yourself.

- By default the HUD components placed on the table are locked in position to avoid accidentally moving the HUD while playing.
- To move the HUD component boxes to new locations on the table please see this FAQ.
- Hold the Control key and left mouse button while dragging the HUD components to the new location.
- Once they are positioned how you want them you will want to click the HM3 Table 'HUD' icon and 'Save Layout' or 'Lock & Save Layout'.
- You can alternatively click the HM3 'HUD' icon and Unlock the HUD to move HUD groups around on the table without the need to hold the control key. This also applies to moving the HM3 Table 'HUD' icon - hold the modifier key to drag it; and also applies when moving mucked cards and board cards. To see the position of all mucked cards, use the HM3 Table 'HUD' icon to enable "Configure Mucked Cards".
- p.s. The Graphical HUD does not have a lock on the HUD and it is moved using the right mouse button, like HM2. If you want to move the Ring or Line panel independently you have to left click the 'HM3' icon at the top of the table and uncheck the 'Lock Panels' option before you use the right mouse button to move a panel for a player.

HM2 did not have a lock layout feature.

If you want to use the same HUD on cash tables you have to open the HM3 - HUD - HUD Editor... menu and select that 'Profile' from the list then click the Options button and 'Duplicate Profile' option which will open a menu where you can rename it if needed and assign it to [x] 'Cash' instead of

You can import the other HM2 HUDs to HM3 if you might want to use them in the future. The only negative to doing that is it will make the 'Profile' list in the HUD Editor, and in the Table HUD, longer when trying to switch between profiles.


The HM2 recent winners list in the HUD was not part of the profile in the editor, so it does not come across directly on HM2 HUD Import. You will have to copy the Table Averages group from one of the default HM3 HUD Profiles. We are looking into the possibility of automatically creating Recent winner list when importing HM2 HUD Profiles.

Here are the instructions on how to add table averages to any HUD profile:

Open the HUD - 'HUD Editor...' and select one of the default HM3 'Profiles' that has the 'Table Averages' group included. In the upper left 'Group' window select the 'Table Averages' group and click the small button right of the Delete button and 'Export Group' to your computer. Then switch to the HUD Profile that doesn't show them and 'Import Group' for that Table Averages group file you just exported.

Unfortunately it is not possible to remove that small Table HUD icon/menu so you will just need to move it to a place on the table out of the way and save the layout so the new position is remembered on all tables.

Okay in the first part with importing more hm2 huds would make the profile list in the hud editor longer. Do you mean when clicking on the HUD on the table and then scrolling all the way down to



Tournament Hud 2 Layout (HM2 Import)



then clicking the arrow and it would just have so many options as oppose to like 6 options now showing? Also when I click that, I see on the bottom set profile as the default type for this table type. So check the last part since if I do that, then it would show the Hud 2 Layout (HM Import) as oppose to the Tournament - Default right?



The HM2 recent thing in the hud... I did that. But it seem to only show the winners of the last 2 pots. So I can't change it to last 3 pot winners? I do see a VP and FP and and another number next to it. That VP is vpip, pf is preflop raise... but the last number is ?



Because I know the numbers that are showing for the last 2 pots shows the pot size. But what is that number next to the pf? I mean its certainly not the average pot size since that number is much lower than the last two pots.



Also I notice after a pot is over, you see what the player cards were and its like in rectangular form and it shows the equity each player had on flop, turn and river. I never saw this with hem2. Was that available on hem2? Now is there a way to turn this option off though on hem3? It does seem nice but curious if that could be removed.

For setting up partypoker, is there even any setup one has to do since you can't use a hud there?


I see in the instructions to check the Store Hand History Logs but I don't see that in advanced under settings?

With 888, its suppose to be auto center? Or preferred seating for my seat? I read in the 888 setup guide that said do auto center... but then it said if you want your hud to align correctly, you need to do preferred seating?

Thanks. The problem is the session reports don't work. Whenever I try top open them HM3 freezes and I have to shut it down.

I was using hem3 for 888 and the hud worked fine. But now it suddenly doesn't work? I remember after closing the hem3, it said there were internal errors and then it ask if i want to send info and i clicked no.


I then restarted hem3... the hud does not work? I would click start hud... then usually after a bit, it shows up... but now it doesn't?


I did not do any changes to it.

HM3 shows 2 instead of 3. If you want to see 3 then you have to open the HUD Editor, select that profile, select the Table Averages group, then add a new line and add the 'Recent Winner Name 3' and 'Recent Winner Pot 3' stats to the HUD.


The 3rd number in the Table Averages group is the 'Avg Pot Size' stat. I believe it uses the last 10 or more pots to calculate that number.


HUD - HUD Options... - General Settings / General - Mucked Cards = uncheck the [ ] Display and [ ] Show Equity Percentages options if you want it completely removed.

If you play PartyPoker.com there is nothing to setup as they do not write live hands or allow HUDs. You have to download and manually import hands.



I linked to a FAQ about this I believe. You need to setup stars to [x] Always Auto Center' and then set HM3 to 'Automatically Detect'.



This is explained in the FAQ I linked to previously.

888 Poker sits you in the bottom center of the table when playing and there is no way to change this. When setting up Holdem Manager 3 Preferred Seating for 888 Poker, use the "Auto Center" option.

I added Recent Winner 3 and Recent Winner Pot 3.



But is there a reason it looks like this?

Like for the 1st two Recent Winne... under VPIP PFT it takes like a whole block so to speak.


But when i added Recent Winner 3 and Recent Winner Pot 3... its like these 2 stats got squished... into one block so to speak? Like how come it doesn't look like the 2nd and 3rd blocks so to speak if you know what I mean?

For the last part... how often do we need to update the newest beta version of HM3?



Do we do it everytime if the hud doesn't work or something? Again I was playing earlier on 888 today and the hud didn't work at one table but it worked at the other. But also there was like some error when I restarted hem3.



Also, there are 2 icons on my desktop after I installed HEM3... Holdem Manager 3 and HM Hud Only. Does one ever click on HM3 Hud only as oppose to Holdem Manager 3 icon on the desktop? I assume that you click on it if you just want the HUD on like stars or 888 but don't want to import hands? But then again, don't you need to import hands in order for the hud to work?



Also I notice on my task manager when HEM3 was on but it either worked or not worked... there were like four different HEM3 applications. That is how it is? Now for some reason I only see 2 processes... but this is on the Background Processes... but not showing on Apps?

Is that how its suppose to be each time when you start hem3 and then it works? Again yesterday for some reason it only showed a few of it and not 8 whole things etc. I think even when it was working... it didn't show 8 things.

Yea so after doing that... the 3rd line has the pot amount not aligned... its like all the way next to the last player who won the pot but not under the 2 pot sizes of the last 2 winners of the earlier 2 pots.

Check the Recent Winner Name 1 and 2 Item Properties. Their 'Column Span' is set to 2 so you have to do the same to the Column Span for Recent Winner Name 3.

You will receive a prompt to update HM3 any time there is an update available as long as you have enabled the Tools - Settings - General - [x] 'Check for Updates' and [x] 'Prompt for beta updates' options. You can check for new updates via the HM3 - Help - 'Check for updates...' option. You can also check for updates and release notes in our HM3 Releases forum or in our Release Notes FAQ.


If the HUD is not working or you have any other problems the first thing you should do is check for an update to see if that solves the issue. If you updated to the latest beta and the HUD still doesn't work, or you have an error, then you need to send us logs/files as explained at the end of this FAQ.


The HM3 HUD Only is so you can import hands and see the HUD without the distraction of the main user interface reports, etc. By default the HM3 Server will not close when you close the HM3 client. This is so you can still import hands and use the HUD even if the software is closed. When HM3 and the server are both closed you can get HM3 to this state using the 'HM3 HUD Only' desktop or start menu shortcut. If you want the import server to close when you close the main HM3 window you have to disable your Tools - Settings - General option to [ ] 'Keep HM3 running in HUD only mode upon exit'.


It sounds like you closed HM3, or it crashed, but all of the processes did not shut down. You should exit HM3 (if it is open) and end those processes then restart HM3.

Those processes should generally always be running if HM3 is open and they should all go away if you close HM3 and exit the HM3 server from the Windows System Tray.

Also has any users reported a huge lag when using hem3? I tried playing on 888 and party.... previously i had used hem2 for playing on 888 and since party doesn't allow hud, well i still have to start hem2 anyways for 888. But if i only playing on party, i dont even open hem2 or run it.



Well... when i have hem3 running, my tables on party are lagging extremely bad. It is to the point where im not only sitting out but I can't even press anything. But not only that... when I move my arrow, it disappears. Previously when i had this issue, control alt delete would fix this... this is when playing on 888 with hem2 and party. Even when i close party and reopen the client, the tables don't even load correctly... so all my cards were folded. Is this directly related to hem3? Because later on when I have lesser party tables, this issue didn't occur that bad. But I also notice when i stop importing, it seemed to stop that unbearable lag. The thing is even when I close party client and sign in again, it takes forever for my tables to load... many don't even load etc.



Anyone here have this issue? Its basically impossible to play on party it seems if you have hem3 running and you need it to run when playing on 888 if you are playing a decent amount of tables.



The thing was I had like 8 tables of party and 5 tables of 888 and this was happening.



I know the party software is extremely bad... but when im only playing party tables... even if i put up say 12 tables, sure it has that lag and many times the mouse disappears, but the control alt delete would fix it.



Could it be related to my database? I'm not sure if i imported any hands from hem2 to hem3... but what i did notice was when i clicked on results... i saw some results of when i wasn't even using hem3. So could that be the issue? I mean, i know you mentioned hem3 uses more computer resources... but if you multitabling 888 and party... its basically impossible.

Notecaddy server seems to be down since yesterday. Just me?

We need you to reproduce the issue and send us your log files so we can try and determine if the issue is caused by your system specs, database size, or something else.

The proper order is start HM3, start the HM3 HUD, then launch Stars. Do you have the same issue if you play without stars caption? Is stars caption set to run as admin?

Please update to our latest beta version 3.1.18.7439 of HM3 from this link if you have not updated yet.

Make sure you always start HM3 first before you open the PokerStars Client. If you closed PokerStars for any reason and did not close HM2 please close them both and start HM3 before you start PokerStars again. On the first run, after an install or an update, you must start the Hold'em Manager 3 HUD BEFORE you launch PokerStars. If PokerStars is open, you must close PokerStars, start the HM3 HUD/Import and then open PokerStars before Zoom HUD will function properly.

- Close your poker clients, close HM3 and right-click - 'Exit' the HM3 Server icon in the Windows Notification Tray.
- Restart HM3 and make sure HM3 and the HM3 Server (Auto Import/HUD) is fully started.
- Launch your poker client(s).

*If the Zoom HUD is not displaying after doing the above, please uninstall PokerStars, rename the associated C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\PokerStars.xx folders. and re-download and install PokerStars as the PokerStars installation is more than likely corrupted and a PokerStars reinstall should resolve the issue. If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory.

Notecaddy website and assaultware are both down. Can't access neither of them on my PC and my phone (different ISPs).

Can't import coaching packages into HM, or my backup notes. Every time I open HM2 NC I get a pop-up saying that it can't connect to Assaultware website.

Same happens with NC in PT4, but there I can actually import my notes.

I too can create note from scratch. Not really interested in that.

I just checked with our NC team and they are aware of the issue and working on a fix. If/when I hear the issue is resolved I will let you know here.
