HM2 or HM3?

HM2: You can export just the HUD via the HUD Settings - HUD Designer - 'Export' button. You can export just the hands via the Home - Database - Database Manager - Export tab. Or you can backup everything via the Database Manager - Backup/Restore tabs.

If you want to backup the HUD, hands, and everything else like player/hand notes, rakeback/bonuses, and other settings: Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data. This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. I recommend you do this at least once a month and keep the last 2 or 3 most recent backups (and your \HM2Archive folder) stored on an external drive and/or cloud storage site like dropbox or google drive.

HM3: You can make a backup of the active database and settings at any time by using the Tools - 'Backup Database...' menu then restore it using the Tools - 'Restore Database...' option.
- Individual HUD Profiles can also be exported from the HUD - HUD Editor - Options button menu.
- All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM3Archive is in C:\HM3Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Network\Month\DayOfMonth (example: C:\HM3Archive\SiteName\HM3Archive\2016\07\31). It is configured in the Tools - Settings - Import menu.

If you also want to manually backup the database/settings files: Your actual uncompressed HM3 databases are stored in C:\Users\{UserName}\Documents\Holdem Manager 3\Databases\. Your personalized HM3 settings/files are stored in C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\Max Value Software\Holdem Manager\3.0\. If you can't see those folders/files, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory.

The HM3 HUD should work on WPN Blitz tables. Please see our HUD Troubleshooting FAQ and reproduce the issue then send the requested logs, screenshots, and hand history files in a support ticket as instructed at the bottom of that FAQ with a link to this forum thread and your forum username.

Hi,

After the recent client update on GG Poker, PLO hands are no longer being imported correctly into HM3.
I believe the issue is caused by the fact that they changed the name of the game from "Omaha Pot Limit" to "PLO"

Is there some kind of fix for this issue?

Unfortunately I do not see any open issues in our system about this so we will need you to send us some hand history files for testing. Please zip and email the original problem hand histories to us as instructed at the bottom of this FAQ. Also try to include a sample of the previous hands that do import as well for us to reference/compare.

Hey all, I’m in the free trial version of HM3 and for the life of me I can’t seem to get the HUD to change to lifetime stats, it’s only showing current session stats for me and opponents. I’ve changed the option in the menu but can’t get it to update. Any help would be appreciated.

That is how the hero HUD is designed to work. HM3 is designed to only show your table session stats in the HUD at each table, and in the Replayer. As your own number of hands increases your lifetime stats don't change much, if at all, between hands but your image at each individual table may vary considerably depending on the cards you've been dealt and/or your opponents. If you want to see your lifetime stats for analysis purposes you can do so in your HM3 reports.

There is a manual config edit you can make if you want to see lifetime hero data in the HUD which is linked to in the 2nd italic paragraph below.

There is no option to view lifetime hero stats in the replayer currently. It was possible in early testing but it caused performance issues so we had to disable it at that time.

Note: There is a method to enable it manually but it can cause performance issues as mentioned, and it will also cause the live hero HUD to behave the same way which would mean losing the ability to see your table image/stats at each table which you may not like (and it could also cause performance issues when playing live). If you want the instructions on how to do this, we posted them on our forums.

This feature request has been documented in detail and provided to the developers for future consideration. If you want to be notified if/when it is added please send an email via the 'Contact Support' link and include "Notify Me When HMT-1428 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

Opponents HUDs should show lifetime data in the HUD by default. Did you edit any of the HUD - HUD Options - 'Filters'? Those settings can drastically change what the HUD shows at the table. Do your HUD Options - Filters appear the same as the default ones in the linked image here? If not, change them so they do.

If that doesn't fix the issues, please reproduce the problem and attach a screenshot showing the HUD, the Cash Results By Stakes Report (or Tournaments by Buyin report if you don't play cash games) for one of the selected players with the problems, and pictures of the HUD Options Filters and attach your \HM3logs files to a support ticket as explained in this FAQ.

The only way you can change the graph colors currently is to change the entire general theme of HM3 in the HM3 - Tools - Settings - General menu from Light to Dark. This feature request has been documented in detail and provided to the developers for future consideration. If you want to be notified if/when it is added please send an email via the 'Contact Support' link and include "Notify Me When HMT-5327 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

If they were 'Cash' play money hands open the Cash Results By Stakes report and select the stake, then select the hands in the bottom grid with Ctrl+A then right-click - 'Delete' them. If it was a play money tournament open the Tournaments report and select the tournament in the top grid and right-click - 'Delete' the tournament and it will remove the tournament and it's hands from the database.

They are cash hands. I did exactly that yesterday and today and the hands kept reappearing after I restarted the PC. How is this possible?

I just tested this with my own play money database using the right-click delete and the Tools - Purge Database by stakes method and the hands stayed removed even after a restart. Which version of HM3 do you have installed? If you do not have version 3.1.15.6860 installed yet please update from this link.

Then try creating a new database, import some hands from the C:\HM3Archive folder, and see if the delete/purge options work properly in the new database. If the new database has no issues then the previous database is likely damaged somehow.

If you continue to have problems purging/deleting hands in the new database: Please create a support ticket via the 'Contact Support' link with a link to this thread and your forum username. Please reproduce the problem and attach a set of log files and a screenshot and detailed description of the issue in the support ticket you created.

Updating the HM3 to the newest version seem to have fixed it. I updated HM3, deleted the hands and rebooted the PC and they stayed deleted.

Seems that the problem was that I had v3.1.15.0 since it was a 5 day old new PC.

Hey,

I tried to import PLO (4 card PLO) hands played on GG today but nothing happened, I just got a message saying "Unsupported Game Type".

Is there some update that I have missed or something?

HM3. Thanks. I moved the database to my laptop.

I had no problem exporting the HUD, however I can't import it on my laptop. The option for everything below graphical hud is black and unable to be selected.

At the session tab/it doesent show my total monthly sessions at minutes, probably because one session was 50 minutes and the rest was 2 hours+ and it shows hours, not minutes so it cant add those. How can i see my total monthly minutes played?

They changed the format of the hand history files recently. The developers are working to fix this in the next beta version of HM3 after we first release the next stable version 3.1.16.0 of HM3.

This is also being worked on and should be fixed in either our next stable release, or the following beta releases.

Note: You will receive a prompt to update HM3 any time there is an update available as long as you have enabled the Tools - Settings - General - [x] 'Check for Updates' and [x] 'Prompt for beta updates' options. You can check for new updates via the HM3 - Help - 'Check for updates...' option. You can also check for updates and release notes in our HM3 Releases forum or in our Release Notes FAQ.

We recently added this in one of our recent beta releases so you need to update to the new stable release version 3.1.16.0 from this link if you haven't updated yet. Once you are updated you can find it in the HM3 - Tools - Settings - General menu as shown in the image below.

I am having some serious import issues with GGPoker PLO. The AIEV and net results stopped working properly after I upgraded from 3.14 to 3.15. I also have a lot of random stakes showing when I sort by stakes. Things that clearly make no sense such as 0.01/5 and 324.50/649.00 So I've been running 3.14 for the longest time. Now I can't import HHs from April after they changed the format. I've had a ticket open with you guys for 3 months trying to get these issue resolved and haven't heard anything since February. It was at least workable when I was still on 3.14 but now I can't even import. Would really appreciate it if I can get a response so we can work towards a solution to all of these problems because at of this moment HM3 is not working for me in any extent. Appreciate any advice, thanks!

What I am speaking above is this.

This first image are my results with my database using HM3 v3.14.0

The below image are my results using HM3 v3.14.6517 or later

Something clearly changed between those 2 builds, and from my standpoint that's clearly quite problematic. With 3.14.0 I was losing a little bit and a little above EV from a bb/100 standpoint. The other I am losing a little bit and running a LOT above EV. It is the same sample of hands, what changed? I'm a point right now I can't even trust the HM3 data anymore. Base on what I see from pokercraft I believe the results from 3.14.0 is correct. All subsequent builds, 3.14.6517 or later all show my results as running significantly above EV. This is the case for my previous hands as well. I would like to get this resolved ASAP. Please respond to my email with regard to this issue. Thanks.

They changed the format of the hand history files for PLO recently as mentioned a few posts above but we had already planned our 3.1.16.0 so we could not fix that issue in that recent release. The hands should start importing again once you get that next 3.1.16.xxxx release installed an reimport the hands.

I do not see any open issues about GG Poker PLO EV in our system. After you get version 3.1.16.xxxx installed:

Please try all the steps in this FAQ. If you continue to have problems please zip and email the problem original hand histories and tournament summaries to us as instructed. Make sure you also include screenshots of your reports/filters and a detailed description by tournament number, session, hole cards, filter, stat, etc. of some of the errors we need to test.
