Try to turn off the PokerStars - Settings - Table Appearance - Table Graphics: [ ] 'Enable the new PokerStars Graphics Engine' option if your poker client has that option.

Or update to the new beta we posted on our forums which added support for Aurora:

Please update to the latest beta version - https://www.holdemmanager.com/Downlo...pdate_8629.exe

- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock.*
* If you do not see an 'unblock' option you can ignore this step.
- Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

If none of that helps:

Please follow the instructions in this FAQ and reply back with the answers to the 12 questions in that FAQ. Those answers should help us quickly identify your issue, skipping questions will just mean we have to ask again in the next email and will delay the resolution of the issue.

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' and 'FastPoker' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu.

Please reproduce the problem and:
- Attach a screenshot of the table/desktop
- Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
- Attach a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue*
- Close HM2 and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

* All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD. It is configured in the Site Setup - Auto Import Folders menu.

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue. If all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.

this worked, albeit for some reason it took two attempts. I don't think I'd properly woken up yet when I posted that haha so thank you

Great to hear.

Our new beta 8634 we posted on the forums has support for Aurora on regular tables but if you (or anyone) is playing Zoom and using the Aurora engine the HUD will not work in HM2 until the devs can check in the missing fix on Monday hopefully. HM3 Zoom HUD should work on Zoom with the Aurora graphics already.

And LOL, I do that once or twice a day usually. I wake up and start working immediately most days and often have to ask the rest of the team one or two silly questions I already know the answer to until I get a half cup of coffee deep.

I started having insane startup problems today with HEM2. Was grinding on it just fine
yesterday but then today after i restarted my computer and when I double-click HEM2.exe nothing happens, nothing. It never loads, the loading screen never pops up... only place where I can "see" it running is the task manager. It never opens ever no matter what i do. can i get a tip to solving this? I really do not want to reinstall at this point in time if not absolutely needed.

Uninstall HM2 and then Reinstall HM2 from this file https://www.holdemmanager.com/Downlo...Setup_8634.exe

*This will not affect your database or any poker/hm2 settings, configs, etc
- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock.*

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing, with a link to this thread and your forum name.

Hello Support I have two questions.

I already own HM2, do I have an advantage like free license for HM3 if I start using the beta now?

Will HM3 support 5-card pot limit omaha?

Anyone that owns a HM2 license can use/test the pre-release beta. There is no added upgrade discount if you choose to test it.

No, HM3 only supports standard 4 Card PLO and 2 Card Holdem at this time. We have no plans for 5 Card PLO or Courchevel that I am aware of. We are starting to work on support for 6+/Short-Deck Holdem in HM3 for the sites that spread it permanently.

We do not know when HM3 will be available for public Beta or official release.

We can tell you that all HM2 owners will receive a discount on any upgrade to HM3 and that the highest discounts will be given to those that purchased HM2 just prior to the release of HM3 Alpha.

In addition, those that purchase HM2 during the HM3 Alpha/Beta period will receive a free upgrade to HM3 once it is released. Anyone purchasing HM2 on Friday 28th of October 2016 or after will get a free upgrade to an equivalent HM3 license (currently in private beta testing) when it is eventually released.

As we finalize other details, we will make announcements accordingly.

You can learn more about HM3 on our FAQs page here - http://support.holdemmanager.com/sup...%20Manager%203

p.s. If you need instructions on how to signup for the HM3 Beta and download the software you can PM me here on this account, or my personal account, or just create a support ticket on the hm.com support site.

Cheers, 1 more question Fozzy, is it possible to add like a random number generator (RNG)
stat on each table or something similar? I noticed that some players using PT have RNG stat on each of their tables and I believe its pretty useful. Can I use it in anyway with HEM2?

I am sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you referring to those really long player names in the HUD for PT4 on the Ignition or Anonymous tables? Can you post a screenshot?

PT4 definitely does not have a 'RNG' built into the software. There are lots of 3rd party sites/apps you can use if you need a random number generator to help you in decisions.

Hi there. I was asked by someone on the laptop battery thing if the program i use which is holdem manager 2, benefit from the nvidia 960m. That is what i have on my dell xps laptop. Because that person seems to imply that i could turn it of if the program i use doesn't require it to save more battery. Does it? Also how do i explain to others on a forum the program i use? I tell them its a program that i use that is very intensive and used in conjunction with playing online poker and it is definitely intensive. When i say holdem manager 2, they obviously dont know what it is. But do i say it uses SQL or what do i say to give them an idea of what type of power or intensive it is if you get what i mean.

Thanks.

Thanks.

HM2 and the HUD are not very graphic intensive. Onboard Intel graphics should be fine. There are no minimum graphics card requirements if you go to our minimum system specs FAQ. HM2 needs fast SSD, fast CPU, and lots of RAM. HM3 will need even more of all 3 of those things than HM2 did since HM2 was developed about 10 years ago now.

I would suggest you give it a try and see if it helps.

Hi there. Well i have the ssd, and the i5-6300hq process which is quad core. And my ram is 8gb. When i play, there isn't much lag etc.

So you are suggesting turn the graphics card off? What about the SQL? That does not need to be mentioned to them on this?

Thanks again.

If you continue to have problems please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to us using the 'Contact Support' link.

Make sure you also include screenshots of your reports and a detailed description by tournament number, session, hole cards, etc. of some of the errors we need to test.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: C:\HM2Archive\2016\07\31).

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then click 'Share' > 'Create Link' > Copy Link' and right-click > 'Paste' the download link directly into the support ticket email. If you have any problems with dropbox try using filedropper.com or google drive.

I am sorry but you are asking me things I simply can't answer. I am not a hardware expert, that is why I suggested you ask others that were. I know nothing about laptops and battery life and if/how HM2 would affect them but I assume your laptop would run a lot longer if you are just browsing the web versus when you are playing poker with HM2. How much longer, I have no idea. That is not anything we have ever tested, or been asked quite honestly, in the 10 years I have worked here.

Having a weird problem with the hud. most of the stats are showing as dashes even though the popup will show that there should be a number in most of the basic stats, vpip, pfr, 3b, etc. After getting around 15-20 hands on a given player, the stats begin to show up usually. version I have is 2.0.0.8629

Are you using any customized HUD/Tournament filters?

Make sure the HUD Settings > General Settings > Common Settings > [ ] 'Use session stats' is disabled. Also check the Table HUD Options to be sure it is set to All Hands and not Session Stats.

- HUD Settings > HUD Filters should all be set to '2 to 10' and make sure that both check box options under Filter by limits are checked [x].

- HUD Settings > HUD Filters > Filter by date / numer of hands > 'Include hands newer than X months old' should be set to 120 and 'Use last X hands' should be set to 0.

- HUD Settings > Tournament Filters are all set to '1 to 81+'. Changing these filters to anything other than their default settings will make the HUD Stats change drastically based on the number of players at the table and/or their stack sizes in tournaments.

If that doesn't fix the issues, please reproduce the problem and attach a screenshot - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...re-screenshots - showing the HUD, the Report for one of the selected players with the problems, and pictures of the HUD Filters and Tournament Filters and attach a log file as explained in this FAQ.

After a couple days of messing around with all my programs and trying a different hud program, I’m concluding that hm2 is causing my computer to crash and freeze.

I came to this conclusion after opening bcp and a few tables and hm2 running. Had task manager open on the side viewing processes. Everything ran great for about 5 minutes, and then hm2 went from 350ish mb in memory to over 4000 mb in memory and my memory percentage went up to 100% in task manager. Usually this is when I would get the freeze, but I ended hm2 on task manager quick enough and everything went back to normal.

I’ve been running drive hud instead with zero issues but I really miss hm2

Any chance I’m not the only one and there is a simple fix? Tried reinstalling with link provided a few posts ago that didn’t help. Made sure I was running recent version didn’t help. My data base is only around 50k hands (this year only) is that too much for my computer? I do have an older (3ish years old) dell but haven’t had any issues up until a couple days ago and only with hm2.

Plz help if possible.

Do you own a NoteCaddy license? If not, have you tried disabling the free version of NoteCaddy that is enabled by default?

Does it help if you try disabling Note Caddy? Open HUD Settings, make sure you are on the HUD Designer tab, and uncheck "Show Caddy notes in HUD." Restart HM2.

Disabling note caddy has solved my issue thru at least these first 100ish hands so thank you! Will put a proper session in later to make sure all is well.

Do you think it is a pc issue on my end though regarding note caddy not working? Doing some research my pc is not totally up to standard I’m thinking.

Without knowing your computer/DB specs I am going to assume it is just a combo of your PC specs and NC resource requirements issues. NC is very resource intensive, especially if you have a large database and/or a premium license with lots of add-on/custom definitions.

edit to add: I read your reply wrong at first then edited. If your machine is not up to snuff for HM2/NC then it likely won't be up to snuff for HM3 either. HM2 development started over 10 years ago, HM3 development started over 2 years ago and was developed from the start (like HM2 was) for modern computers at that/this time. The middle/max specs for optimal HM2 performance are likely going to be around the min/mid specs for HM3

The issue is related to BitDefender being overprotective with regards to our recent licensing protection changes. I will post the HM2 instructions below to start. If you can't get HM3 running/reinstalled at the same point they say to reinstall HM2, then please create a support ticket via the Contact Support link for your HM3 (and lingering HM2?) issues and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

Sometimes security software can prevent Holdem Manager communicating with PostgreSQL and the Poker sites. This can cause many issues including import, hud issues and issues with launching Holdem Manager. Please follow the instructions in this FAQ that creates exceptions for Holdem Manager and PostgreSQL to avoid these issues - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29

a) Open your Windows Defender (or chosen AntiVirus program) > History tab:

1) Select the files if they are from holdemmanager with that checkbox on the left side, then in the bottom right of the window click 'Allow Item'.
2) Start HM2.

Please let us know if that solved the problems.

b) If none of that helps:

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, Avira, Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with Holdem Manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software (even windows defender or security essentials) bundles and dont reinstall them until after you reconnect postgresql.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Uninstall HM2* and then Reinstall HM2 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...er_2_Setup.exe
- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock.*
* If you do not see an 'unblock' option you can ignore this step.
- Then, right click the file and run as administrator.
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender (unless you are using Windows 10, in which case it should be enabled), and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rewall%29#MSES
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials (unless you are using Windows 10) for antivirus/malware protection and update it - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14210

*This will not affect your database, settings or original hands in your archive folder.

c) If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F
