Hi,

New with the software, just trying to see results when hero open limps.

What are the best resources for getting the most out of this software?

Reports > Filters > More Filters > Basic Filters > Quick Filters = Limp (double click it) > OK

I would start with the Coaching Videos and HM2 TV Widgets on the HM2 Home tab and our FAQs.

How could I filter out times when I am not in the blinds for this same stat?

Hi,
I would like to see the results of all the hands that saw a flop (was not allin preflop), saw a showdown and also had 50%+ equity on the flop.
Can it be done?

Ok, so I've figured this one out but I am still not getting all the hands I want. There are times when I am limp rr utg and ep that aren't showing up.

Go to More filters > Basic filters and apply:
1) Common filters: VPIP = Yes, PFR = No
2) Position and Action: Preflop Action Facing Hero = Unopened + Hero's Position = Early, Middle, Cutoff, Button.

This should show you any limps no matter what happened after.

We do not have a filter for equity on the flop for hands that are not allin since you don't always see opponents hole cards. We only have the Other Advanced Filters > Allin Win% filter.

The other filters would be this:

- More Filters > Basic Filters > Common Filters > Saw Flop = Yes and Saw Showdown = Yes
- Other Advanced Filters > Preflop > Allin Preflop = False

Then you could sort by the Equity% column in the bottom hands grid of the Overall report.

Hi,

My hard drive crashed and gg'd my pc. My gf's Dad salvaged the holdem manager 2 folder onto an external hard drive with everything intact I believe.

I have entered a new license key on my pc as it has a new hard drive.

I've copy/pasted the "players" and "hands" folders over but the database is empty.

From looking at FAQs I think this is because a backup wasn't created and this is why it isn't working.

How do I fix this?

Thanks

You also need the postgresql \data\base folder files. HM2 splits the database up between the postgresql folder and the users directory for performance reasons. If you don't have the \data folder you can't recover the database. If you do get the \data directory you can reinstall postgresql manually and point the installer to your old \data directory and the database should work again.

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.

2) Run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator and type the following and then press enter:

net user postgres /delete

3) You should get a successfully completed response if done correctly. If you get a permission type error you likely didnt run it as administrator as explained above.

4) Reboot your PC

5) Install the same version of PostgreSQL (HM2 ships with 8.4) - http://www.enterprisedb.com/products...wnload#windows - as your previous database using these instructions - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rving+database
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/postgres84

This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt, or you have hardware problems, you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup. Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step.

There is no Multi Table Report in HM2 for Tournaments, just cash games.

Please see this FAQ for help in resolving licensing issues.

If you continue to have problems we need you to send us the \HM2Logs folder as explained in the last steps under 'Contact Support'.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email.

Hi it doesn't sound like this is possible but I don't know much about computers so I may as well ask.

Microgaming have stopped saving HH's to your hard drive if you didn't contribute in the hand, is there anyway a quick update of HM could replace the inactive hands with a blank HH as to not skew the amount of hands played/win rates etc in HM?

Once I mark several hands is it possible to just graph those hands?

Which game types are you playing? Can you send us some of the hand history files?

Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to us using the 'Contact Support' link.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth e.g C:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31 or if it was auto-imported with v7283+ it would be in C:\HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. Yes. If you open the More Reports > Overall report and tick the [x] 'Marked hands' box above the hands grid, and change the 'Last 250' drop-down to 'All Hands' if you have more than 250 marked hands, then click the 'Show or hide the results graph' button you can see them graphed. If want to graph by specific hand marking there is a drop-down menu to the right of the 'Marked hands' box or you can use the More Reports > By HandMarking report and the popout graph.

Its not actually a problem wit HM it's some thing Microgmaing added to their network. They don't save HH to your hard drive anymore unless you put money in the pot.

It was only implemented yesterday so I will see how it goes, its probably not a big deal.

I think I have f'd up HM trying to fix my crappy slow machine.

If I try and open HM 1 or 2 I get an error message saying "unable to read data from the transport connection. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"

We cannot support them if they don't provide full hand histories, same as what we did with Blaze. Tournaments might still work if they will save all hands there.

Here is what they posted on their blog:

Quote:
- In cash games, we will now only save a hand history to your computer if you contributed to the pot. In other words, you will not be able to track hands in which you did not actively participate, nor will you be able to gather data on your opponents by passive observation.
- We will not save hand histories for Anonymous Tables at all. These tables are intended to be a tracking software free zone, and we will take active measures to stop the use of HUDs and tracking software at Anonymous Tables, should any software provider attempt to bypass the restriction.

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue and the following guide gives a step by step guide.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

Does the game start and stay 8 handed, or it changes from 9 to 8 and back? We will need more info and to see some HHs/Logs to figure out what is happening and if we can solve it.* For now you can try duplicating your HUD Config and set one up for the 8 handed tables and one for the 9max tables and switch as needed using the Table HUD options drop-down menu.

*Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' and 'FastPoker' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu.

Please reproduce the problem and:
- Attach a screen shot of the table/desktop
- Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
- Save a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue
- Close HM2 and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue. If all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.
