Thanks mate. Nice quick fix! Must have misclicked at some point to disable it.

I'm having terrible difficulty with HM2 at the moment. I had to reset my laptop back to factory settings and when I redownloaded everything, my HUD is no longer working at zoom. Any suggestions?

IMPORTANT Zoom Installation Instructions:

Make sure you always start HM2 first before you open the PokerStars Client. If you closed PokerStars for any reason and did not close HM2 please close them both and start HM2 before you start PokerStars again.

On the first run, you must start the Hold'em Manager 2 HUD BEFORE you launch PokerStars. If PokerStars is open, you must close PokerStars, start the HUD and then open PokerStars before Zoom HUD will function properly. If the Zoom HUD is not displaying after doing the above, please uninstall PokerStars, rename the associated C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\PokerStars.xx folders. and re-download and install PokerStars as the PokerStars installation is more than likely corrupted and a PokerStars reinstall should resolve the issue.

Please check all of the steps on this FAQ.

If you continue to have problems please tell us which ps.xx skin you play on, what the client/server version numbers are, and send the requested files/screenshots as instructed at the end of the Zoom setup FAQ in the link above.

Then it may work for a month, then I'll have another issue.

Is it worth trying to update from version 8.4 to something else? I think that I'd have to uninstall HM2 and then re-install it after updating PostgreSQL?

Thanks!
I have been on here quite a few times with the same issue and have it again now. Getting to the point where it is too much of a ball ache to keep trying to get it to work. FWIW the reset winsock thing used to work for me when i had the problem, but unfortunately not this time.

If you continue to have problems, please duplicate the issue and send us log files with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing:
- Open Windows Event Viewer's (Control Panel > System & Security > Administrative Tools or Start > Search > 'Event Viewer') > Windows Logs > Applications.
- Check for any errors and send the information (Save All Events As...).
- Please send a HM2 log file as well.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then right-click > 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email. If you have any problems with dropbox try using filedropper.com

Hi,

Do you know if it's possible to change the red background color when using session stats?

Thank you

What exactly did yo update? HM2? PostgreSQL?

Please try to vacuum/analyze and reindex your database.

If you continue to have problems, try the following:

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB.

If the new database seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. Please continue to use the new database and import the rest of your hands using the steps above. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup.

Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step.

If none of that helps please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to us using the 'Contact Support' link.

started playing on partypoker again. I sat at some micro stakes cash game and noticed that the hud when it starts up... all the players are labeled 1-5 etc. Is this a new change? This isn't one of those casual tables. Also all the huds are red the background? Is this new? My hud has zero issues on other sites so im guessing this is new?

Please see this - http://www.partypoker.com/blog/cash-game-changes.html

Please update to the latest beta version if you aren't using 8454 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock.*
* If you do not see an 'unblock' option you can ignore this step.
- Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

The HUD should work but it will show stats for Player 1, Player 2, etc instead of Player screen names. We updated HM2 to reset the stats at each new table to 'Session Stats' which uses the HUD Settings > General Settings > HUD Font > 'Alt Background' color so you will know they are session stats and not lifetime stats. If you do not want the HUD background to be red change the 'Alt background' color by clicking it with your left mouse button and using the color picker.

Can you please make it possible to use HUD on Microgaming Network on Anonymous tables (obviously only for session stats) ? I believe this would not be hard to implement. Thanks.

On Blaze tables they only write hand histories for hands that go to showdown so we can only import the hands they write and we can not support a HUD on these games.

They no longer allow us to display a HUD on their Anonymous tables.

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue and the following guide gives a step by step guide.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

having this exact issue. last night did full vacuum. i then fine tuned postgres through the optimization option. after that, I purged some hands. it said "must restart hm2 for it to accurately reflect in the HUD." that was the basic message. At the same time, hm2 errored and closed down, basically crashed. Now, I can not get back in HM2. getting the postgres prompt at startup that the service isn't running and I cant fix it. I used the step by step guide and am now getting this error when manually trying to start postgres:

Try to rename the C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.5\data\postgresql.conf file, then rename postgresql.conf.hembak to postgresql.conf and try starting the service again.

Once you get it working again you can manually tune your postgresql.conf file with instructions from this forum thread.

what do i rename the first instruction to? i have located this file. you said "Try to rename the C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.5\data\postgresql.conf file" but you did not state what to rename it to, right??

as for the second part, i took the .hembak off of the file name so it now says postgresql.conf but it says it as so: postgresql(2).conf because that file name was already in use

still getting the error message

rename it to anything else so that it won't be read by postgres, then you can rename the postgresql(2).conf to postgresql.conf so postgres will use the original one that was backed up when you had hm2 tune it.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing (and a link to this thread with your forum name) and we can have one of our remote support guys that is more experienced with postgresql connection issues take a look at your logs.
