EDIT - I have it working now thank you. First time around I was using it in game to test, after resetting I used the replayer but didn't set the Auto-rate to work in the replayer.

All working now thanks again for the help.

Thanks.

Does anyone here use a nonquadcore laptop and have no problems playing 20 tables with holdem manager 2 and tableoptimizer or tableninja? Of course using an SSD and having 8gb is a must.

If a few people here can confirm this, such as i got an i5-6200u processor and ssd and 8gb ram and can 20 table without any issue, it will make my laptop buying much easier as the recommendation is a quad core laptop and there aren't that many laptop choices that are quad core unless you want a big bulky laptop and especially paying a lot for it. The price isn't that big of a deal as i got the sager np2740 14.1 inch laptop for close to $1400 i believe a while back before it no longer works.

I really want to get an asus 13.3 zenbook thats i5-6200 u so if anyone here play on a laptop and 20 table with hem2 and any other program with no lag, can you comment on it? Or comment on there is lagging? I need to get a laptop asap. Thanks.

Due to some legislation I was not able to play winamax for some time.
Now I can play again and even after 1 year You haven`t fixed HUD problems and all MTTs are 8max. Or is there something wrong with my configuration?

Also 6max final tables are 7max and You can see stats are all in wrong places and when I try to move them around they also move on regular 8max tables.

Logs, screenshots and HHs to e-mail?

It was fixed at one point in ticket HM-8740 but then returned and was reported by 1 or 2 customers (1 reported final table problems, one reported problems at all tables) so the ticket is still open. Can you send a set of logs/files the next time it happens please? We need more customers to report this so we have more logs to review and so that management will know it is not just an isolated issue with 1 or 2 customers.

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' and 'FastPoker' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu.

Please reproduce the problem and:
- Attach a screen shot of the table/desktop
- Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
- Save a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue
- Close HM2 and attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue. If all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.

Hi,

My HUD has stopped working and i think it might be something to do with a Windows 10 update that i installed last week. I have been playing HUD less for a week now.

My HM2 opens ok and i can see my old data base from before but it appears to not be linking to my hand history.

**Ok so to edit the above **

I have just tested it and tried the Postgre walk through and that didnt work i fired up a cash table but my HUD doesnt show it just keeps saying waiting for hands. I look in reports and can see the hands there but when i go to copy and hand it does not copy it.

I then close and reopen HM2 and the hand history from the cash game i just played are no longer there.

If it helps my hard drive has been randomly saying it is full and then when i restart it says it is no longer full ( think it might be to do with the windows update)

Cheers

Make sure that the Site Time Adjustment is properly configured such that the Time Stamp in the Reports for the hand matches your local windows clock time.

i have in my database around 100000 hands i played, all within the last 3 months
and my hud filter is to show all hands within 6 months

now i wanted to see my hud in the hem replayer (filtered for 4-6 players seated which should show me around 65000 hands). yet only shows 12k hands of myself in the hud each time

i checked every filter to be sure and its not #of players, timeframe, network or anything
is this is a known problem and what can i try to show all my hands in the replayer hud?

We limit the replayer HUD for the hero to 20k hands by default for performance reasons. Please see this FAQ for more details and instructions on how to increase that value - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...n+the+replayer

Also make sure you toggle off this option inside of the Replayer: Options > [ ] 'Use stats up to day of hand'. If it is checked and you have to uncheck it you need to restart HM2 for the changes to take effect.

There is no simple tournament filter for this. The only way you might be able to do this would be to create a tournament tag and assign it to those tournaments you won, or filter by the tournament numbers for the ones you won.

fozzy, i purchased a dell xps 15 laptop that is i5 6300hq quad core processor online due to my sager i7 quad core laptop not working anymore. It comes with 8gb ram and a 1tb 5400 rpm and 32gb ssd. Obviously i will be using an SSD. I have 2 250gb samsung ssd hard drives from 2 laptops that both no longer work. The main one the sager which still has information that i did not transfer to external hard drive such as my holdem manager 2 backup and settings and everything and also tableoptimizer though i know that isn't big deal. My other ssd is from an old asus laptop that went bad but its not empty. It has some files but very little files. I bought this ssd about 3 years ago. My issue is this ssd when i first got it, i kept defragging it as i did this a lot because i read this was good for computers. I then read you not suppose to do that with an ssd.

So when i start up the new dell xps 15, should i be immediately swapping the slow hard drive first with an ssd when setting up the computer? Its windows 10. Also how do they have 2 hard drives? I guess this laptop has 2 hard drive slots?

Should i buy a brand new ssd or is that a complete waste of money since i already have 2 ssds? If i do get a new one, it would be 512gb ssd but i dont need much space really as the 256gb one still had 90gb left. I believe most of the gb used in my computer was due to me never cleaning holdem manager as i dont have much files on my computer. But i would be fine using one of these 2 ssds on the new computer? But how do i wipe everything off? Would i be able to transfer my holdem manager and all the files to an external hard drive... then once i do this, clean that ssd and then put this one into the new dell xps so i dont have to buy a new laptop? I probably will have to go to repair shop to do this right since im not computer savy?

I heard you need to buy this $10 hard drive enclosure case in order to transfer files from an internal hard drive to an external hard drive? At the moment i only have a desktop. So i would first transfer everything from ssd to my desktop hard drive. Then from my desktop hard drive to my external hard drive?

Sorry for the very long post. And yes i could have made this easier if my new dell xps laptop already had an ssd but this one didn't and the ones that do, they take a very long time to ship.

I can't say if your old SSD's are fine to use but if it were me I would try them. The new machine's 32gb SSD is hopefully big enough for Windows but it won't be big enough for your HM2 PostgreSQL database so you will want an SSD for that instead of the 5400rpm HDD. You definitely want to get the SSD in before you install HM2/PSQL.

Once installed you can copy all that data from the old SSD to an external drive. You can probably just buy an enclosure and use the 5400rpm HDD or the other SSD in the external enclosure. Or if your desktop has plenty of free space you can use that for copying/transferring the files.

Hi there. So when you say you want the ssd in there first. Are you referring to the other ssd or do you mean the ssd with the sager laptop that has all my hem2 information etc.

So if i want to wipe my other ssd off right now, i need that enclosure right and connect it to my currently desktop/

Thanks fozzy.

Thanks fozzy.
You said the new one came with a 32gb ssd and a 5400rpm hdd, right? I assumed you were leaving the 32gb SSD in there since that is what Windows is likely installed on, and replacing the 5400rpm HDD with one of your old SSDs. If that is the case, and you plan to install your postgresql \data folder for your database to the SSD replacing the HDD then you want that installed to the new laptop before you install HM2/PSQL. Whether you copy everything off it and wipe it before it is installed is up to you.

Hi fozzy. I haven't received the new laptop yet but yes that is what it comes with. I will be replacing one of the hard drives with one of my samsung 250gb ssd hard drive. I will most likely used the one that i used on my sager laptop before it stopped working.

I also bought one of those $10 enclosure cases that i should receive soon and its to connect an internal hard drive to a computer. Im using a desktop at the moment. So i plan to put my sager ssd into the enclosure, the connect it to my desktop. Then i should be able to access my old files. But when i do, would i be able to access my holdem manager 2 database? Thus could i possibly transfer/backup everything on the sager ssd to say my desktop? However, my desktop is an old 5400 rpm hard drive. Then once i do this, transfer the holdem manager 2 and tableoptimizer files to say an external hard drive?

Then when i get the new laptop, go to a repair shop and have them put my old ssd in and take out the 5400 rpm hard drive? Then install hem2 and put my hem2 hands in the new computer? Would this work? The issue though is i never once vacuumed anything in my holdem manager 2 so the files has to be huge. I used it for a very very long time. Or could i back it up first, vacuum it so files isn't that big... then transfer the hem2 from my external to the new laptop? Would this process take a very very long time since i have to essentially do 3 transfers? One from ssd enclosure to my desktop hard drive. Then desktop hard drive to external hard drive... then finally to my new laptop? Or its not worth it and just start fresh instead. Or do this but vacuum it. And i do this when i vacuum it when connecting enclosure to hard drive?

Also just to make sure. When my bring this sager ssd that is about 140gb used up out of 230 gb available, when they install this ssd into my new laptop, they can delete everything when starting up the laptop right? Thus deleting partitions etc? And another question but i just want to make sure. When i get the new laptop, i should immediately bring it to the repair shop and then have them replace my hard drive first right? Would you suggest they do the installation for me? When i get a new laptop, and then power it on and set everything up, instructions are very easy. But since this is a ssd and an older one and its not deleted... i dont want to install it then partitions are not deleted then you see 140gb used out of 230gb available, then best to have them do this? I know they charge a good amount just to install windows. But in this suggestion, would you suggest that or not?

Thanks.

Hey!

First time posting here on 2+2, so just tell me if I missed something.

Yesterday I got my HM2 trial to see if I'd like it so I can eventually buy it.
But when playing MTT's the hands of some players reset (at random I think) after a certain amount of hands. Im pretty sure I got the settings and handhistory right.

Any ideas? Playing on Partypoker!

Are you using any customized HUD/Tournament filters? I didn't try loading your prefs/config file to see if that could be the issue:

Make sure the HUD Settings > General Settings > Common Settings > [ ] 'Use session stats' is disabled. Also check the Table HUD Options to be sure it is set to All Hands and not Session Stats.

- HUD Settings > HUD Filters should all be set to '2 to 10' and make sure that both check box options under Filter by limits are checked [x].

- HUD Settings > HUD Filters > Filter by date / numer of hands > 'Include hands newer than X months old' should be set to 120 and 'Use last X hands' should be set to 0.

- HUD Settings > Tournament Filters are all set to '1 to 81+'. Changing these filters to anything other than their default settings will make the HUD Stats change drastically based on the number of players at the table and/or their stack sizes in tournaments.

If that doesn't fix the issues, please reproduce the problem and attach a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/gen...screenshot.htm - showing the HUD, the Report for one of the selected players with the problems, and pictures of the HUD Filters and Tournament Filters and attach a log file as explained in this FAQ.

Starting fresh is going to be far easier/simpler. You would only need to copy over your holdemmanager.config file and \config folder from your \Users folder, copy over the hand history archive and manually import the hands.*

This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup. Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step.

I can't speak to TO and how to back that up of course.

Backing up the HM2/PostgreSQL Database files manually and installing/connecting them on another computer can be done but it is rather complex compared to if you had made regular backup files of the database that can simply be restored.

Please see this FAQ to move your database to another drive/computer. Please note this is an advanced article and we do not provide support for this method if you encounter issues but at the request of users we decided to make a FAQ for those who felt confident enough to try this method.

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...e+or+Partition

*If you have problems with that method I would suggest you do the easier method of backing up your config files to paste into your new computer/installation, and the original hand history files that can be imported manually:

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...dem+Manager%3F

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. I recommend you do this at least once a month and keep the last 2 or 3 most recent backups (and your \HM2Archive folder) stored on an external drive and/or cloud storage site like dropbox or google drive.

Windows is going to be on the 32gb SSD and you will be having them replace the slave 5400rpm HDD with the SSD that you already copied all of your HM2 data off of so they should not need to install Windows if I am understanding correctly. If you copied all your data off the SSD you can format it yourself via the right-click menu in Windows explorer, then take that in to them and have them replace the empty 5400rpm HDD slave drive with your formatted SSD.

This is all well beyond the scope of our standard HM2 tech support I do and I can't really help further with this as it is becoming quite confusing as it is not something I do regularly for HM2 or for myself. If you have further technical questions about setting up your new hardware with your old hardware you should be asking in the CTH forum for help from other users that are more practiced and experienced with hardware. if you have technical questions about setting up HM2 on the new machine I am glad to try and help as much as I can but I can't really help further with regards to manually trying to reconnect your old database folders/files that you never performed regular maintenance or backups on.

It could have been customized without you knowing if you happened to import some custom HUD Configs from other users or our HUD Repository.

I don't know what this promo is but if the HUD is working and updating properly the HUD should work as it normally would with your HUD/Settings.

Go to HUD Settings > General Settings > Advanced Settings and toggle 'Click for Stat Popup' on/off and see it they work properly with the new setting.

If you continue to have problems:

Please export your HUD's in HUD Settings > HUD Designer.

Then delete the prefs.xml file in this folder:

Windows 7/8/10, Vista

C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Config

XP

C:\Documents And Settings\[Username]\Application Data\HoldemManager\Config

To see these folders you may have to enable hidden files.

Can you reproduce the problem with the default HUDs?

Import your HUD's again. Does the issue persist? If yes, you will need to recreate the HUDs from scratch if you do not have an older backup copy of the exported HUD.

If none of that helps:

Fozzy very quick question. I got the enclosure and put the sager ssd into it and my desktop recognized the device. It shows up on my desktop as windows K drive.

I then see folders of

888caption, flashinstaller, hm2 archive, hm archive, program files, program files x86, users, windows etc. I then highlighted all of these folders and it comes to 35gb on size and about a bit more 35.3 gb on the size on disk but it still taking time and going more and more. First off, is this my entire hard drive? It shows about 150gb used and 82 gb free for about 232gb total capacity. Thus if it wait fully, it should show 150gb?

So would it be fine if i just copy all these folders every single one to my external hard drive which has 1tb capacity? Or which folder am i suppose to transfer? When i click on holdem manager 2 holder on program files x86, it only shows 219mb the size.

So if i want to back everything holdem manager up such as everything, which folders should i drag from this ssd to my external hard drive?

If i want to keep only the holdem manager configurations, which folder/files to i drag to the external hard drive? Im doing this now since i will be bringing my new laptop and the sager ssd to repair shop and since i bring the ssd there to replace my hard drive in laptop, i believe everything in my ssd will get erased permanently.

That is your entire drive. If you wait it should end up showing the properties as 150gb on disk.

You don't need all of those files/folders for HM2. I will explain in detail below to your other questions.

If you want all your HM2 original hands, PostgreSQL and User Database, and HM2 Settings you want to backup the:

HM2Archive, HMArchive (this is hands from HM1), C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\ and C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\X.x\Data\Base

If you want all original hands and settings, but not the database then ignore the \PostgreSQL folder I mentioned above and the C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Da tabase folder. Those 2 folders are only needed if you are going to try and reinstall postgresql and connect to to the old \data and \database folders instead of recreating the database manually via the hand importing of the 2 archive folders you have.

Please see this FAQ for more details about the \Users folder files you need for your settings and how to backup your database/settings easier in the future - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...dem+Manager%3F

fozzy thanks for that information. The thing is there is no harm in just copying all these files at the moment right? I had done this earlier and its halfway through already. Because once i have everything in my external hard drive, then once i set my new laptop up with the ssd, then i can do what you mentioned and copy those files later on? The thing is i need to have the ssd put into the new laptop at the repair shop and want to have everything from my ssd into the external hard drive first since when i bring my ssd there and my new laptop, i know everything will get wiped out.

Also i know this is a general computer question. But do you suggest i wipe everything off my sager laptop before i bring my ssd to the repair shop with the computer? Or could this cause some issues? Or just erase any document, download and pictures that i have but every other program even the programs like holdem manager and skype and other similar things just leave it there. The thing is i dont want to delete all the folders that could possibly be related to the ssd driver etc?

Thanks fozzy.
