Hello,

No, other than killing holdemmanager.exe via the task manager which could possibly corrupt/damage what remains of your database at that point. Are you saying you can't use your computer/browser etc when HM2 is purging? Or you need to use HM2?

Do/did you have multiple monitors connected? Please follow this FAQ to fix the problem with windows moving off screen:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...eyboard-trick/

Change your DPI Scaling to 125 or 96/Normal - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...g+DPI+settings

If none of that helps please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

Please zip and email the requested files via the 'Contact Support' link here and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

There are no known issues with Zoom HUD so it is probably a configuration issue.

Make sure you always start HM2 first before you open the PokerStars Client. If you closed PokerStars for any reason and did not close HM2 please close them both and start HM2 before you start PokerStars again.

IMPORTANT Zoom Installation Instructions:
On the first run, you must start the Hold'em Manager 2 HUD BEFORE you launch PokerStars. If PokerStars is open, you must close PokerStars, start the HUD and then open PokerStars before Zoom HUD will function properly. If the Zoom HUD is not displaying after doing the above, please uninstall PokerStars, delete the associated C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\PokerStars.xx folders. and re-download and install PokerStars as the PokerStars installation is more than likely corrupted and a PokerStars reinstall should resolve the issue.

Please check all of the steps on this FAQ - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rs+Zoom+Tables

If you continue to have problems please tell us which ps.xx skin you play on, what the client/server version numbers are, and send the requested files/screenshots as instructed at the end of the FAQ in the link above.

If the poker client updated (I saw a few reports of this just now replying to our HUD Issue Reports support tickets) it may have changed/disabled some settings such as the hand history options that save the hands for HM2 to import. Please follow the instructions above and if they do not help please send the requested logs/files for us to look at. Without seeing those files there isn't anything else we can do to determine the cause of the problems.

Hi,
I got a new computer, and had someone install my old SSD onto it for me. To do so, he took an image of everything on my SSD and put it onto the HDD of this comp (which is not the main drive)

I now need to work out what stuff I need to move from the HDD to the SSD (the C drive) so holdem manager is fully functional if that is possible (assuming simply dragging and dropping is what I need to do?).
Below are some screenshots of what is on the HDD that I think might be relevant.

Inside the program files on the image, in the holdem mangager folder ^

The two postgreSQL I'm assuming I need to move? One I think is an old database.

There is another postgre folder inside program files itself which is confusing ^

Thanks for any help you can give,
George

That is not how you backup HM2 and the database/hands. HM2 uses the \Users directory for it's settings, HUDs and other personalized configurations.

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...dem+Manager%3F

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency.

If you didn't do a pghembk backup, and the image doesn't also contain a copy of the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager directory it will be impossible to reconnect the old database.

This image you posted has a \HM2Archive and \STARSHANDS folder that should have your original hands if you end up having to import them manually.

If you do have the \HoldemManager directory I mentioned above you are going to need to place the \Database directory from the image backup into your new drive's installation of HM2, and the \postgreSQL directory from the image I linked above into the proper location (most likely C:\Program Files) then use the following instructions to try and reinstall and reconnect those folders with HM2:

Please note that reinstalling PostgreSQL will mean losing all your old data. If you have access to HM2 and your database was not corrupt then please follow these instructions for backing up your database as a precaution in case you cannot reconnect after reinstalling PostgreSQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...onfigs+work%3F

If you cannot access the database in HM2 then you can backup your database using this method: http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...nced+Method%29 but if your database was corrupt then the best solution is to reimport all your hands from C:/HM2archive folder or if your pokersite supports it you can request all your hands and summaries and reimport them as restoring a corrupt database will just restore all the problems you had.

Once you have backed up your previous database(s) then follow the instructions below to uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL using the same database.

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.

2) Run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator and type the following and then press enter:

net user postgres /delete

3) You should get a successfully completed response if done correctly. If you get a permission type error you likely didnt run it as administrator as explained above.

4) Reboot your PC

5) Install the same version of PostgreSQL as your previous database using these instructions - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rving+database
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/postgres84

If none of that helps you will need to do a clean reinstall of postgresql, restore the database/settings backup if you have one, or just import the archived hands manually from scratch.

To reinstall PSQL manually:

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser).

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.

2) Delete the \PostgreSQL\X.x\data folder that is left behind.

3) Delete the sub-folder(s) in c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\HoldemManager\Da tabase (XP - c:\documents and settings\username\application data\HoldemManager\Database).

4) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator

net user postgres /delete

After you click 'Enter' for the code above also do that same for this code:

sc delete postgresql-8.4

and click 'Enter' again.

5) Restart your PC

6) Install PostgreSQL 9.0 or 9.2 from http://www.enterprisedb.com/products...wnload#windows

7) Once installed you should disable the postgresql logging as instructed here - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...arge+Log+Files

If there is still an issue, we need to know the error - it is in the temp folder - bitrockinstaller.txt file. If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...es+in+Windows+

I'm on ipoker trying to get the "line taken" stat to work. Have followed almost all instructions exluding street-by-street hud settings, as those only related to live tracking i actually wanted street-by-street, right?

I use the smallest size tables, with about 2-3 lines of chat visible, but even with a larger size table it doesn't work.

Any known problems regarding this issue?

This feature used to work on stars and ipoker. When ipoker introduced their new beta clients it broke the feature there. When stars updated their third party tools rules we had to disable the feature completely. At this time there are no plans to bring back live tracking at any/other sites for pot odds, street by street, or any of the other features that required live tracking. Our focus going forward is on features that can work on all supported networks.

Please try to vacuum/analyze and reindex your database - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...29#maintenance

If you continue to have problems, try the following:

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...y+played+hands

If the new database seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary.

Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...onfigs+work%3F

If you continue to have problems please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to us using the 'Contact Support' link.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth e.g C:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31 or if it was auto-imported with v7283+ it would be in C:\HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the software.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...r_2_Update.exe

- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock.*
* If you do not see an 'unblock' option you can ignore this step.
- Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

Make sure you always start HM2 first before you open the PokerStars Client. If you closed PokerStars for any reason and did not close HM2 please close them both and start HM2 before you start PokerStars again.
