HM received notification of an availability impacting event beginning at approximately 8:23PM today. We were immediately in contact with an upstream vendor and are working with them to resolve the issue. Further, we already have in our strategic plan initiatives which will eliminate this class of problem. Stay tuned for updates.

Why does it need to contact the website at all? Surely periodical checking of the license is all that's needed, not every single time you start the program.

Do we need to keep restarting HM2 or will it start working by itself? (edit... can ignore this question, now it's saying "no valid license found, HM2 will now close").

Our upstream vendor has diagnosed a major component failure of their core router. They are currently configuring onsite spares to replace the failed components. We expect resolution in the coming hours.

It's a big shame if a company builts their license checking system in a way to secure more against piracy, but to achieve this actually hurt existing loyal paying customers. There is no excuse for this, just bad management and decision making.

Does pokertracker ever have this issues anyone know?

Yeah, but as far as I know the software itself and servers behind are still very much different, maybe their licensing system does not know these ridiculous problems.

Yeah, I guess they still are. Hopefully they manage to take all the best features from both programs when they bring out their merged program that we have to pay for again
