Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Is the user account with the problems an admin user?

1) Go to C:\Program Files\Holdem Manager 2 (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version)
2) Right click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for HudFuncsApp.exe

avg is the devil

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, Avira, Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with Holdem Manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Once you have done that the 'run as admin' steps should solve the problem and it shouldn't return again unless you decide to reinstall AVG which I would obviously advise against. It causes tons of problems with HM2, our HUD, and we have seen it cause problems with Windows where it will corrupt the user files or worse.

is there any plan to have HEM2 copy Ipoker hands properly, similar to HEM1. It works fine with HEM1, but not HEM2.

Also, HEM2 doesn't even track Microgaming anon HU tables while HEM1 does. I am not too concerned about the HUD, although it would be nice.

apologize if these topics have been discussed to death already.

I see so many issues with AVG. It ruins the database folders, rendering the database and HUD useless, it wrecks folder and windows user permissions settings, and in some extreme cases, corrupts windows so bad, the only fix is to reinstall. Fozzy understated it.

- Uninstall HM2 (and HM1 if it is installed)

- Now Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\ Holdem Manager 2.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\ Holdem Manager 2.lic)*

- Create a new windows user in the Control Panel > User Accounts. Make sure it is an Administrator account and has no unique characters in the name (only characters from EN Alphabet)
- Reboot the PC
- Log in to the new windows user account

- Reinstall HM2 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...er_2_Setup.exe
- and try to register again.
- If that works, you can reboot, log in to your normal user, and test to make sure everything works before you delete the temporary user. If it does not work, the old user is not going to work.

*You will need to show system and hidden files. See this tutorial for showing system and hidden files:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...in+Windows%3F+

Please see this to transfer files to a different windows user:

Can you explain what the issue is with ipoker?

Microgaming has asked that trackers stop supporting HUDs on their anonymous tables. In order to ensure that we stay a legal software on their site, we have complied.

Hi I am having a problem with importing hands since the time zone change. I have followed the instructions to adjust my local time and the warning sign changed to a green arrow. However HEM2 is still not importing hands from PokerStars except for 1 hand before I changed the time and 1 hand afterwards.

I'm playing zoom and the HUD is still displaying stats from previously imported hands if that helps.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Edit: Problem solved, save my hand history was unchecked after Stars update.

Hi there

I’m thinking about getting HEM2 but have a question I am hoping someone can help me with first. I mainly play Zoom on Pokerstars and was wondering how HEM2 collects the stats for Zoom hands. For example does it collect the whole hand history for every hand I’m dealt into or only the history as far as I go in the hand. What the stats tell will obviously be very dependent on how the data is collected. I have tried searching the forum and Google generally as I imagine others must have asked similar questions but with no luck so far. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Starbuck, HEM2 imports the hand history for the whole hand in Zoom just like it would on a regular table.

Yes, it imports all of the hands. They're saved to your hard drive when finished.

Yes, you have to watch Stars for that. Thank you for letting us know this is resolved.

Good luck at the tables,

Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

does HEM2 calculate how much in WPN Beast contributions we made? Or is that accounted for in "rake"?

It is included in the Rake stat. We have an old open feature request to separate it from the Rake stat but it is very low priority and I don't know when/if it might be implemented.

If you need another trial extension because you used up your initial 30 day trial please email your details/questions to sales@holdemmanager.com with a link to this thread and your forum name and let them know that I authorized a 30 day trial extension for you.

Can anyone tell me if HEM2 is running more smoothly nowadays?! I am using PT4 because of that issue for a while now. I do have a very fast computer as well, however HEM2 does freeze quite a bit when just loading the graph or 10k hands.

Any chance by deleting HEM and reinstalling it might fix it? Databse is only about 2mil hands btw.

What is your day starts at set to?

Check your time settings:

Your computer clock should match your current timestamp in the hands section in active sessions and reports.

if not, open Site setup and make the adjustment.

The formula is Computer clock - Sessions time.

So if your computer clock is January 1 12:00 and your sessions show January 1 5:00, you would add 7 hours.

If your computer clock is behind the Sessions time, you would subtract.

Please send a screenshot of your sessions with computer clock while playing if there is another issue.

Please take and attach a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/gen...screenshot.htm

For 8/7/Vista, there is a built-in Snipping Tool in Start - Accessories.

Please update to this version

http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...AutoUpdate.exe

After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock. Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

1) Please make sure you are installing on an administrator account and running as an administrator.

2) Please turn off UAC.

3) You'll need to add:
- hmupdate.exe (only exists during update)
- holdemmanager.exe
- hudfuncapps2.exe
- postgres and pg_ctl, your poker client .exe
- table ninja.exe
- tablescannerdllloader.exe
- notecaddy.business.dll and notecaddy.contents.dll from the modules folder in holdemmanager's program files folder (you might have to type in the names in some firewalls, they do not show)

to the exceptions list in your firewall and antivirus. ****

4) Make sure that windows is fully updated. Keep checking for updates until it says twice five minutes apart that there are no more updates available.

5) You need to make sure that this folder*,

8/7/Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager

as well as c:\postgresql (or c:\programfiles\postgresql), c:\programfiles\holdemmanager2, c:\hm2archive, c:\hmarchive and your site's hand history folder are each not read only** and that all permissions are set to full for your user name. ***

* You will need to show hidden files. See this tutorial for showing system and hidden files:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...in+Windows%3F+

See the location here for win 7:

http://www.udbrky.com/hmsupport/configfile.PNG

See the location here for win xp:

http://www.udbrky.com/hmsupport/configfile.PNG

** You will need to right click the folder, open properties. At the bottom in Attributes, uncheck the Read-Only. The folder will continue showing read only after that, this is an issue in Windows

*** This is in Properties as well, in Security.

****Please see this guide for Windows Firewall:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ender+Problems

Please see this FAQ for setting permissions and unchecking read only:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...olders+HM2+use

Please duplicate the issue.

Open Control Panel - System - Administrative Tools - Windows Event Viewer's - Windows Logs - Applications.

Check for any errors and send the information by saving the error. They should be right at the top. We need errors, not information.

Please send a log file as well.

Using HEM1 and playing husngs. A couple games per session always come up as 'not finished' and don't show up in graphs/results. Would have to import them manually I guess, is there a reason why this happens or way to prevent it?

Please update to this version:

http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa..._10Oct2013.exe

Sites like Poker Stars, Full Tilt Poker and Pacific will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit.

You may need to request and import any/all of your old tournament histories and import those to HM2. By default Stars do not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and be sure that HM2 has added the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...er+Stars+Setup

Email support@[yourpokersite].com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries may be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.
Example of correct file:

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...and+Histories+

If you continue to have problems, please zip and email the problem hand histories. All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

This is a known request and it has been documented in detail and provided to the developers to resolve. While I don't have a specific date for when this issue will be resolved, we are putting out updates regularly.

The previously assigned internal ticket # on this issue is 6838. We will often release builds on a limited basis, only in the forums for a few days first, so please check back in this forum http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hm2-releases/ for that ticket #.

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email to support@holdemmanager.com and include "Notify Me When 6838 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.
