The focus fix is one small, albeit important, feature of an array of tools. Focus fix alone doesn't improve the entire experience itself. The original goal, as I understood it from HG, was to improve his own personal playing experience as to limit annoyances that can lead to frustration and tilt. By limiting his exposure to those annoyances he was in fact giving himself an edge. Others would have to deal with the annoyances. The annoyances that are in place for more casual players to stay informed about what's going on. Those of us multitabling aren't looking to be informed over and over about what we're playing. We'd love it if we could just play the game were there to play, continually how we see fit, without being disturbed by annoying, unavoidable issues.
I also know I personally felt I ran the risk of incurring injuries if I continued to play using ABC computer peripherals. Problems that really could affect my earning potential in online poker.
Busted tables being instantly removed from existence, no message boxes detailing tournament information, instant one-click registrations and unregistrations, the option to control all play from a 360 controller to minimize wrist movement, an active count of opened tables, the ability to be sat back in if you do happen to time out after your timebank has already been clicked when it comes up and you actually end up using it all. It's a poker suite aimed at improving the poker playing experience, period. It's not a move to fix one oversight that exists. Its creation was thanks to HG being motivated at making a go of grinding for a living, aimed at improving the playing experience itself and allow HG to capitalize on what he loved making money at.
When Gnum and I pushed HG to go public with this product he was reluctant and was more concerned with working on his game because:
May 07 20:14:48 <HAY_GUYS> i still want to grind some
May 07 20:14:50 <HAY_GUYS> i like it
May 07 20:14:52 <HAY_GUYS> i want to be a grinder
May 07 20:14:53 <HAY_GUYS>
From a grinder, for the grinders. What more can I say? Nearly 39,000 games completed by HG since he created it. Gnumsploitz has played around 12,000 since being given the wares. Myself, I've played just over 29,000 games since being gifted with this. Before that, I had played 20,000 games lifetime at Stars. Less than a year after receiving this item, I've more than doubled my number of games played on Stars. ****'s been tested. I make my bread at this game.
