Here's a thread on the xbox controller emulator

http://forums.logitech.com/t5/PC-Gam...3-0/m-p/297694

Could we use something like this with our non xbox controllers?

o.m.g. there's some amazing code to figure out googling for this method!

Yes it would be extremely nice to be rid of (or at least reduce where possible) these standard polling loops. I probably have at least 20/second going on across various scripts when I play.

From http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/:

XBOX 360 Controller emulator if a wrapper library that translates the xinput calls to directinput calls, for support old, no xinput compatible gamepads
Yeah, XInput is what I'm using (it's way easier!), so in theory, that would make it work.

Beta coming very soon! Back to the grind!

What button on the controller do you guys use for folding?
05-16-2010 , 07:08 PM
Hay guys

I would be interested in beta testing this program as well, I don't have a 360 controller but I may be able to get one.
I play cash though, does this work for cash, what does this have for sng's or rather what does it lack for cash.
I'd like to play up to 24 tables relatively lag free while using my hud, I've noticed that when I tried scripts before it really started to lag with pt3 running, I know pt3 isn't great for lag but felt the scripts were really making the problem worse, I got a ssd and C2duo running at 2.73 so I feel my pc should be relatively lag free playing up to 24 tables.

Can you give an ETA on the public beta?
05-17-2010 , 03:05 PM
Hmm, definitely interested in this...

Hey sorry I am kind of slow, but what does this do that say TableNinja doesnt?

Here's a sneak peek into the Hjälper Private Beta.

Link: http://www.youtube.com/v/vtdyxBhyRsE...s=1&rel=0&hd=1 (Please watch in HD 1080p)

I made an effort to showcase the lack of focus stealing, the preferences window, and most of the features. Perhaps this will answer some of the recent questions ITT.

Apparently I run like God while testing this software.

http://gnum.us/img/jup512.png - HEM screenshot of 82.4% ITM over the 34 tables I was playing in this video (over $100/hr at 5.20s)

Enjoy!

This is the layout I use:

Yeah, I know it's intimidating, but cut me some slack—GUIs are hard.

This look awesome.
05-18-2010 , 03:04 PM
it's one of the better GUIs that i've seen programmers make

Just to post an update, my earlier release schedule slipped by a couple days, but I finally released a beta to a few testers last night. Some bugs were already found, so I'll get those fixed and ship out beta 2. It's looking good so far!

What would be really awesome tho and im not sure if other people would agree with me due to result orientation..

..is a quick summary screen that would summorize your results on every table in one line. Like a little chatbox. Because when you call an all in or something it will instantly switch table and you basicly dont get to see whats happened.

IE:
Table 12: AK Lost 3500
Table 11: QJ Opponent Fold Win 1000
Table 01: 22 win 5000
Table 06: 45 opponent Called Lost 200
etc. etc

For me that would be huge, and since u guys are fiddling around with lots of info screens already just thought id share this idea.
05-18-2010 , 06:59 PM
^Wow that is a great request. Surprised there isn't already software specifically for that.
05-18-2010 , 07:03 PM
Yea i know alot of people are just robots and just dont care, but somewhere in the back of my mind im always a bit like.. wtf happend..

Having that said, im just a 12 Tabler or something, nothing close to 30+ tables.
05-18-2010 , 07:03 PM
There is "big pot grabber" by halvsame I think does similar to that. Probably could be tweaked somewhat for tournaments though, I think it was more suited to cash games. Probably needs a better means of detecting relevant hands.

Is anyone who is testing this using the emulator? Care to explain it to me? I dl'd it and it is confusing as hell and I can't even begin to program it.

I am having one issue with the software so far. It will occasionally steal focus from me and pop a table to the front that I have just acted on. For example, I will fold a hand UTG on table A, and then table B will pop up demanding action. Right as I'm about to act, a table will beep in the background (either action demanded, or a new table, not sure) and suddenly table A will pop back to the front even though I'm no longer in the hand. It's happened about 10 times and it's always a table I've already acted on, which is good at least since it's not causing any misclicks. But still annoying. I am running Table Ninja and StarsCash alongside it though, so that may be causing the issue. I can't do without those scripts unless someone shows me how to use the emulator.

BTW, the debustifier is split-second fast. Very nice. And the focus fixer works great as well, so far.

I've never had that problem in about a year of testing. Sounds like you're dead on about those other scripts causing some sort of conflict. Here's hoping you figure out the emulator (or pick up a 360 controller).

Wow that would tilt the everliving **** out of me. I don't want to know what happened!! Are you running Vista or 7 with Aero? I have an idea for something siiick I could do if you are. I'm not sure if it's the type of thing that needs to be integrated into Hjälper; probably best as an separate program imo.
