How do you input the following?

Villian calls with TPTK or Ovarpairs (no flop cards defined)

but villian wont call if that TPTK is less than a Jack and wont call if the Overpair is under TT?

Basically I dont want people calling shoves with A8o on an 8 5 3 board even if it is TPTK!

could you please add a feature to take out Scylla Document from the "new" context menu.

I have tried deleting it from the registry but it comes back every time CREV is run.

The reason is it causes a 10-15 second delay on the "new" context menu so every time I want to create a new folder on my desktop there is a 15 second wait. Its definitely the Scylla document as when thats removed there is no delay.

I have never used the new -> scylla document option. IF I want to create one Ill run CREV.

Best wishes

I can't seem to find the feature you're talking about here.
Could you maybe show a screenshot?

For top pair + top kicker with top pair being >=J:
Hand value tab: Select top pair and top kicker
Holecards tab: Select A-J in the card field and select "both cards"

For Overpair >=TT:
Hand value tab: Overpair
Holecards tab: Select A-T

FWIW, I have the New->Scylla Document also (it'll just create an empty .stx file for me) but no delay opening the context menu. W7 business.

You can't copy nodes themselves, just actions and conditions.

hi scylla, great work. I have a question, is there an option to set tournaments to chip ev rather than ICM? Sometimes I want to review hands in early stages where I don't really take ICM into consideration. I guessI could just input the info in a cash game style but it would take away the ease from the import function.

Hi Dowsun,

Just turn off tournament mode by clicking the "tournament" button next to the logo.
In this manner you'll switch to cashgame mode.

You may want to set rake to 0%.
You can do this by pressing the floating "blinds" button in the lower left and change the rake percentage to 0.

On the other hand ... you may actually set rake to 10% or something along those lines.
I have calculated a long (long long long) time ago, that the early stages of a large tournament basically came down to playing with 10% rake, so ... your choice.

The percentage differs a bit depending on the prize structure and stack field, but 10% should come pretty close.

Cheers,

Scylla

another question, in this situation im tring to compare two different lines on the river. 1 where i bet/call 50% of the time and check/call 50% of the time

ok, so we only really set weights to villain's range? if I want to compare the two lines I just run EV for Bet/Call, then run EV for Check/Call and compare?

Sorry, for all the questions. I'm still trying to figure out everything. In this hand, I want to compare raising vs calling with 99. 50% of the time raise and 50% of the time calling. why are my weights not set to 50% but 75.1% and 24.9%

ok, i think its because i accidently had K9 selected for BB in the calling tree. But even when i add all hands into BB range, my weights are still not 50%/50%

Change the "check" percentage to 100%.

It means that 100% of all runs that go through that part of the tree will be accepted.

So the first line will be accepted 50% of the time and the second one 100% of the time that the first line is not accepted.

presumably this applies to multiple conditions on the same action?

E.g. the action is to raise with:
50% - ">=flush4th"
100% - "flush"

then 1/2 of the flush4th will be kicked out of this action and not match the flush line below?

After a condition has been rejected because of it's weight, the software will immediately skip to the next action, ignoring all conditions below it.

This is something Im always a little uncertain of.

If I put a list of conditions in for a raise, whether or not certain of the lower condition get missed out due to them being in the wrong order.

Yes, you do need to pay attention to the correct order of the conditions.

Could you give a breif explaination of what order they need to go in?

I tend to go down in terms of hand strength i.e.

sets
Overpair
TPTK

where I get confused is the order of precedence for draws.

You should indeed order the conditions from strong to weak.
As for draws, that should be the same thing.
For example:

flushdraw+OESD
flushdraw
OESD

One more question.

Im trying out the graph function.

What Im trying to do is look at stack sizes vs me shoving the flop

So I set my opponents stack size to "#1"

I put a check point at the point I shove on the flop.

I then run the graph varying 1 variable from 10 - 100 in increments of 5

I output EV

As far as I can tell his stack size isnt changing at all and the results seem to be fairly constant.. Im not seeing a graph that tapers.

What am I doing wrong?

Its OK I was being a dumbass and set the variable to the wrong stack!

Hi people,

I am trying to get StoxEV to match up to some charts I made in Excel and for some reason StoxEV is giving me some different numbers.

Here is my problem:

I ship 90 with 23% equity (AKs v AA,KK) over a pot of 113 (my 10 + his 4bet of 23 + his remaining stack of 77).

My calculation is as follows:
(0.23*111)-(0.77*90) = -44

Now StoxEV gives me -33.5 as the EV

Am I doing something wrong? I thought all this was kindergarden stuff but now StoxEV has me thinking I am making an error?
