Ok, to sum up:

Preflop input using string:
I'll add that

Preflop output using string
Already exists. Just select a range in the window and press the name button in the upper left of the menu.

Postflop input using string
Postflop input already works with copying strings as you describe.
Just copy paste the string into the "holecards" tab of the postflop menu where it says "range".

Postflop output using range
As for postflop output, using Alt+O, once again, I'll see if I can fix that.

Hi,

I got the following warning when I downloaded the commercial version:

Can you please let me know what this is?

CreateID.exe is a small program that tells you your hardware ID.
In the past sometimes the encryption software caused false positives with virus scanners.
I haven't had reports about false positives for a while since I changed some of the encryption settings.
However, it's hard to prevent all false positives since there's so many scanners out there.

Anyhow, CreateID.exe is not absolutely necessary to run StoxEV.
Feel free to delete it and use flopzilla to get your hardware ID.
You can get Flopzilla here: www.stoxev.com/flopzilla/flopzilla.htm.
In flopzilla, go to "register" in the menu.

Also, the trial version can also tell you your hardware ID under "register".

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll see if I can do someting about it.

Cheers,

Scylla

Would be nice feature addition if you could specify a situation where, for example, "river was an overcard to the board, Jack or higher". Maybe in the post flop condition dialog / board texture section. Sorry if this already is possible by using some other method, couldn't figure out a way though.

Yes, there is a way to do this. It's called the layer system. With it you can define different layers for different cards coming off. For an explanation see either the written manual (C:/program files/StoxEV/StoxEV/StoxEVtutorial/manual.htm) or the video manual.

Forgot to mention that if the board cards are unknown, I can't just select all Queens for example because it might not be an overcard.

There's a new text-based system for defining boardcards.
Depending on what you're looking for it may be possible to achieve with that.
Up to which point do you know the boardcards?
Could you give a basic idea?
If it doesn't exist I may add it; the new text-based system is much more flexible.

Hi,

please make the preflop positions changeable.
Right now I am working on some position related analysis and to change the position by clicking on "button" to invert it to "cutoff" would be great.

and if you got some time left you could implement JPG as output

Best Regards
Padawan

What you mean here is just change the name of the button?

As output for popups?

As for the suits in the output for the postflop popups, I've given it a try. Unfortunately the output strings rapidly become too large for pokerstove too import. I've set it back to the old method.

On the front of good news I can report that I've added a text import/output button to the preflop menu.

Other good news: I've created a new version that contains both the trial and commercial versions (meaning it's a functioning trial version that turns into the commercial version after registering). Should be a big improvement for users of the trial version, since now they are again part of bugfixes and new features.
Also I've created some handy floating quickbuttons and a strongly improved hint-system for new users. I think it looks pretty cool
New version should be up in a bit.

Nicest would be of course if it was possible without knowing any of the cards on the board. For example, 3 barreling scenario where betting and calling actions are decided based on conditions (has draw, overcards, tp+, etc) without any specific board cards. Then on the river, fire the 3rd barrel if broadway overcard falls. That sort of stuff.

Also would be nice if it was possible to define that board has no Ace or King for example, I tried specifying [2,Q] in the Board text but it didn't work.

You can already do this.

Method 1: The buttons
In the "board" tab of the postflop menu just select 2 through Q and click "all cards".

Method 2: Text input
For a flop that's at most Q high write [2,Q][2,Q][2,Q].

That would be somewhat hard to do because in most cases it would be impossible because not only the positions would change, but also the order in which players should act. If this order changes, which is entirely likely, then the tree that would exist at the point of the change would be an entirely different tree.
Still, I could offer the option anyhow and just leave it to the responsibility of the user that the change actually makes sense. While I'm at it I could also allow a change of name, for instance so that it says "hero" and "villain".

How calculate optimal calling range BBvsUTG, BBvsMP, BBvsCO, BBvsBU w/o postflop actions in Filex Limit?

I like default optimalcallingrange.stx in stoxEV folder. But this file only for SBvsBB NL.

Optimal calling range refers to calling an all in.
You can't call an all in in limit.

That's OK, thanks for double-checking!
Browsing the thread to get a feel for what this program does.
Looks very promising.
