For that go to "File->Export program settings to text block".

If you want to be 100% certain you've got everything, you might just want to zip the entire installation directory as well and make a backup of it. Just in case.

Thank you.
Second option could be better for automatic back up solutions.

Btw just tested Cardrunners Export and import program settings using text blocks and I can tell you that I like it a lot. I mean all those warnings and prompts for making back ups.

Previously I did some "fatal" import without warnings

Great job.

OK, there is one problem about transfer tho:

In new installation I can't access postflop conditions.
I have coppied those to conditions subfolder,
but those doesn't appear in the postflop multicondition menu.
Everything looks like this:

But result is:

Have you simply copy-pasted the /conditions subdirectory from the old installation to the new one? Because that should do it.
If you can't get it to work, then please mail this zipped directory to support.

Not at this moment, no.
But it should be available in the next updates.

Hello guys,

1) Is there any way to show the relationship between the bet/raise amount and the pot? For example for blinds 0.5/1 a pot size raise is indicated by the text "raise 2". This is fine the first time the action is created. But how can i remember that this was a pot sized raise? Is this indicated somewhere?

2) When i try to edit the bet/raise amount by double clicking on the "raise 2" text, is it possible to get the small popup window that we used while creating the action instead of a simple window that accepts only a numerical value?

This isn't indicated, no.
You cóuld write 1p for the bet amount to indicate that it's 1 pot.
In that manner, even if the pot changes, the bet amount will change as well.

No, because the only thing you can change about that action at that point is the bet amount (as well as some other things, like restrictions). The small edit window will show you what's available to be edited.

That should do the job, thanks!

Ok so i select start a new tree, select 'heads up' and either 'flop' or 'turn' or 'river'. Tree is created, i press the EV calculate before creating any action and program crashes.

Edit: If actions are created and an EV is calculated, the program does not crash anymore even if new a tree is created. Instead it shows the window 'no end of hand was found'

Ok, I'll take a look at it.
Thank you for the feedback!

Hey scylla, would it be possible to use spaces, % and other symols in multicondition menu names? It would be nice.

Thank you.

Is there any way to take a branch, with all its subsequent nodes, and copy it into a different file open in another instance of CREV? It seems I can only copy one branch and none of the branches that come after it are pasted.

Also it seems there is no way to specify a turned two card flush draw using the board syntax, am I wrong? If you can specify this, how do you do it? If not could such a feature be included in future releases? Something like the ability to write *x*y*z to indicate a rainbow flop then *x*y*z*z to indicate a turned two card fd. Or can that be done somehow with the existing syntax?

That would be rather hard, given that a multicondition with a name like "XXX" needs to be stored in the /conditions subdirectory as "XXX.txt". Therefore, if the symbol is not allowed in a file name, then it can't be used for the condition name either. I could rewrite the storage system to work around this, but the time spent on this would need to be taken away elsewhere.

It's possible to copy-paste whole actions+subbranches with Ctrl+Alt+C and Ctrl+Alt+V.

There's no dedicated way of doing this, given that it really doesn't matter whether the flushdraw came from the flop or turn. A flushdraw is a flushdraw.

It's probably possible to tell the difference anyhow, but you'll need to give me a specific example.

hey mate. i just started working with this software and I saw something that didn't make much sense to me

http://i.imgur.com/0LoXM4H.png

ev of flipping is obviously 0.5 for sb and 1 for bb (even after blinds)

now say one player shoves AA only and the other calls with AA only

http://i.imgur.com/Shv6q3d.png

where does the ev go? being it a zero sum game, the sum of the evs should be 1.5, no?

Yes, indeed, the sum of the EVs should be 1.5.

SB's EV is simply visible in the tree, namely 0.007.

BB's EV will be 0.001 in 0.45% of the cases.

However, in the remaining 99.55% of the cases BB will win the pot of 1.5.
That makes BB's total EV, weighed by these different outcomes:
0.45%*0.001 + 99.55%*1.5=1.493

And 0.007+1.493=1.5.

Hello,
I dont know if this has been requested, but in crev there is a backdoor fd option when building ranges. however there is no backdoor straight draw! Would you please consider adding backdoor straight draw? thanks!

edit: ok i searched a bit and realized the complicatedness of this task.
i think you can just include all the gazilion bd straight draws, simple as it is, and ppl would just use it in some combination... like bd sd + bd fd etc... to narrow down what they want and to select some more hands where they need to. but now I see you get this request a lot so prob not as simple.

Believe I've found a bug
Open Range

4Bet Range:

Why is it showing A9s-AJs and KJs as grayed out when they're part of my 4B range?

edit: Does that just mean I am breaking even with my strategy for those hands? Maybe not a bug after all ...

It indeed means that you're breaking even.
