This is what I had in mind. I think that sort of thing would be hugely valuable.

good point. I forgot that the unexploitable shove in position allows for checking. So you're exactly right that it solves this situation.

thanks for the quick response for for putting together the tree.
Ok, I'll add Domain%(Location,Value,Value,Mode,Mode) to the list of options then.
And I'll probably add them to the list of filters (Alt+F) as well.

I have a situation where I use the top x% variable in a script.

Why can it only be 1-20?
Would it not be better to be 1-100?

With 20 variables the XY menu is already pretty crowded.
I can't possibly fit 100 variables in there.

is there a way to display the total number of combos in a range?

Hey scylla, pretty sure i am going buy this software. Was just wondering would this be of benefit to a low-mid stakes HU reg? Maybe you could give a couple of points where it could be used to excel my game. Any reply is much appreciated

What's the difference between equity run and EV run?

I created a simple scenario where both players are 15bb deep and follow Nash Equilibrium chart. If I run equity simulation, both players break exactly even, but EV simulation shows that SB strategy is -0.13 and BB is +0.13.

I want to write a condition for calling flop:
Hero has exactly one pair, board doesn't have an ace or king.
But when I click not, it works on both conditions at the same time. How would I make the condition I want?

Have you made any progress with this? If you took away all the hands that are already folded and showed the rest in a pokerstove chart and also made it possible to use the original postflop menu it would be very easy to choose to bet all the flushdraws so you dont have to mess around with that in the chart.

Equity runs don't calculate ev, see the relevant section of the documentation: http://www.cardrunnersev.com/manual/equityrun.html

Hi, I just bought cardrunners ev and was following the video tutorial on youtube regarding graphs and I didn't get the same result can anybody tell me why?

My result;

Video;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDblDP8WOfE About 6.20 in

Also, the x stands for the percentage SB is shoving with and the y stands for ev, correct?

EDIT; How do I embed a youtube video?

Thanks for the information, but got some more questions:

(1) I have a tree where SB has 7h4c and has an option to min-raise or fold. If SB min-raises, BB has an option to either fold or shove and SB can call or fold. How can I compare EV of SB calling a shove and EV of SB folding to a shove?
Previously I have done it by calculating EV of calling, deleting the node, calculating EV of folding and comparing the EV results of paper. Is there a more effective way available?

(2) Is it possible to display EV as stack size players have at the end of hand on average? Not sure if I explained myself clearly enough, but for example if both players have 10bb stacks, EV(folding) would = 9.5bb and if SB raises and BB always folds EV(raise) would = 11bb

Sorry for quoting my own post but wasn't able to edit.

I have another problem;

What I'm trying to accomplish here is to get the perfect range for SBs 4-bet when there's a possibility that the BB might shove, and what's the best range against his shoving range. Obviously this graph isn't correct and the percentage of hands played by SB didn't change when the script was active. What's the problem here?

slender,

(1) you mean you want to compare bet/calling & bet/folding, right? Because the ev of folding to the jam will just be 0.

One way:

(2) Yeah I know what you mean, like Tipton recommends; but no, I don't think so.

Yes. To see which one has better EV.
Right now I'm doing that as 2 separate trees and can see that folding has better EV than calling (-0.26):

I would like to do it similar to this (EVs of both actions are displayed simultaneously):

Oh, I forgot to add fold branches for bb. So it should look sth like this:

You'll have to mouse-over the raise2's to see the evs.

I think it would be of benefit to anyone with an interest in the math aspects of Hold'em poker. However, whether this software will benefit you is really not something I can give any guarantees about. In the same way, if I sell you a hammer, I really can't make any promisses on its effects on your skills as a carpenter. As for points, I find that the best approach is to just pick a hand where you were wondering what you should have done. Start simple and keep your trees basic. Don't go overboard and build massivelly complex trees. Use checkdowns to prevent of having to go into too much detail. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Blinds should be 1/2.
BB's stack should be 20.
Rake should be 0%.

That's all the differences I can spot right now.

Lines 3 and 4 should be switched.
After all, variable 1 should only be increased after you've added the data point.

Also, you should probably do something with variable 1.
Right now, it doesn't do anything.
I assume you're trying to set a top% with it?

For that it should go someting like:

1) Set variable(1,0)
2) Set "all hands" (location 1)
3) EV run
4) Top%(Location 1,var 1,0,0)
5) EV run
6) Add data point(...)
7) Increase var 1
8) IF(var 1<=100)
9) GOTO 2
10) ENDIF
11) ..... (and so on)

I am using the beta version if that matters.
+1

Im using trial and am interested in purchasing.
When i double click on 'all hands' pre-flop, im offered a box like stove with all the hands in. But when i do this post-flop i can't see a box like this..

*Edit: Nvm, i can see i can input hands using range feature, nice program.

I noticed that CREV allows raises that are less than the minimum. Like, at 0.5/1 CO raises to 3, BTN can then raise to 4. Bug?
