All of these screenshots were taken today, November 22, 2009, as of version/snapshot 0.12 and are subject to change in newer revisions.

Opening command line window when program is started. It shows all activity while running stats, imports, etc.

Player's Stats screen. Note the detail on the left for sorting which stats you want to appear.

Additional Filters allows selection of how many players under certain criteria you choose.

After hitting "refresh" this is a sample of the stats report. The upper portion shows breakdown by game and size. The lower portion breaksdown the detail by hand dealt. Columns can be sorted as you see fit. Note that profit/loss is shown in red and green for easy recognition.

General shot of how the hud stats look on a full table. They can individually be moved and saved for various game sizes such as 9, 6, 10 or heads up. This was 10 player Omaha08. Yes, it supports Omaha

This is the default hud stats, 3 columns 3 rows. It can be modified to suit your needs. See next picture.

This was my choice, 2 rows, 4 columns. I chose to delete the "%" indicators as well, but you can design it for many different combinations and stats.

Hud stats showing below cards (Omaha) can be moved to your taste.

Dropdown screen for "import"

Screen shot of Mucked Cards. Shows all mucked cards of players at showdown, including the flop. Can be repositioned to suit your table or personal location wanted.

Datebase dropdown menu for working with database activity.

Bulk Import screen where it indicates location of Hand Histories.

And finally, as simple as it looks, the heartbeat of the program. You simply click on "Start Autoimport" and the hud stats will appear after a hand is completed in a game in which you are sitting. Time between updates can be set to your desires.

That's about it. I ran out of film, so if I missed something, oh well

Oops, I forgot this one.. very important. When you right-click on a player's stats, a window opens with complete details on all his stats, which you can personalize for the stats you want to have, but not necessarily covering the screen all the time.

You know, I forgot to mention that ver 0.12 broke the HUD on Sit-n-Go tournaments on PokerStars. It used to display stats for these games and no longer does. I haven't looked to see if the data is still being imported or not though.

- i read on a previous page it is currently being built for iPoker compatibility. any ideas on how long this could take?

- i am almost interested in paying someone to help with some programming, probs would take a couple of weeks, please pm me if your interested.

Complete newbie here. I followed the instructions found http://****************/apps/mediawiki/fpdb/index.php?title=Getting_Started to bulk import my poker stars hand. As per the instructions, I select a single file and get the following output:

Once I close and restart the application, I'm told that FPDB failed to connect to mysql database with username fpdb. What am I doing wrong here?

Also a recent bug causes fpdb to mistakenly want to use HUD_config.xml.example for it's configurations. Copy HUD_config.xml to HUD_config.xml.example (or just edit the example file to reflect your SCREEN NAME and paths to poker software .

Near the very end of HUD_config.xml.example is the section that needs to be edited to allow fpdb to connect to your database.

You should find teh HUD_config.xml.example file in your FPDB folder.

Does this mean we are close to re-release of 0.12? And, if you know, has it been fixed so that it runs off of hud_config.xml instead of the example file? Final question... when there is a new snapshot will we be able to just delete the current fpdb directory and drop the new one down in its place? Thanks..

Thanks Greg - this is exactly right. The last snapshot actually reads the example file in preference to the correct config in most situations.

Squashed quite a few bugs since the last snapshot. Stars EUR table support is being tested at the moment too.

When fixing the HUD session display the options changed name in the config file so the <hud_ui> section of config needs a minor update, otherwise all you need to do is replace the fpdb directory.

but I'm stuck at no. 31:

[Copy the file "default.conf" from the docs folder of your fpdb git......]

Where is this file?

I have a docs folder in the zip I downloaded "fpdb_0.11.3.zip" but there's no file with that name. did I download the wrong fpdb zip file?

The instructions you followed are slightly out of date. Replace default.conf with
HUD.config.xml.

There's a slight catch:

A recent bug causes fpdb to mistakenly want to use HUD_config.xml.example for it's configurations. Copy HUD_config.xml to HUD_config.xml.example (or just edit the example file to reflect your SCREEN NAME and paths to poker software .

Near the very end of HUD_config.xml.example is the section that needs to be edited to allow fpdb to connect to your database.

You should find the HUD_config.xml.example file in your FPDB folder.

That was correct. When the program is functioning normally, it will look for HUD_config.xml. The HUD_config.xml.example is usually just a reference point.

This error means that the install you tried didnt work. You are missing the part that should have been installed in step 30 of the instructions you linked.

The installer metioned as possible solution is here:

(Its the very last file you can download.)

The installer will try to install everything you need.

OR from this file: http://redir.zombiebytes.com/fpdbstuff.zip

Which has:
python-2.6.1.msi
MySQL-python-1.2.2 ...
pywin32-213.win32-py2.6.exe
pygtk-2.12.1-3-win32...
pycairo-1.4.12-2.win32-...
pygobject-2.14.2-2.win32...
numpy-1.3.0-win32-superpack...

You can selectively install each package on your own.

You would need to unzip and then run the pygtk-2.12.1-3-win32..exe to recreate the step 30 of those outdated instructions.

If any other portion of your previous install didnt work, you can reinstall each piece in the order listed.

That was the file that I put up back in May, before I had any web space to work with. The zip with the bat that autodownloads gets a more up to date set of stuff, that if it all downloads and installs properly, works with graphing .. that's the one that's on sourceforge.

Notes for 0.12-20091126

* Fixed session display in HUD
* Update for Stars EUR tables
* SQLite now functioning with both HUD and Player Stats view
* Preferences dialog - brand new and very alpha.
* If you double click the values you will be able to change them. Useful for enabling and disabling sites, and manually adjusting hud window locations.
* Please make a manual backup of your config before you use this, and you will probably need to restart the application after saving the changes before they apply.
* Various other HUD and config bug fixes.

Installation Notes:

HUD_config.xml has changed slightly for the <hud_ui> section, please update your configs for this secion using

Hey Sorrow, did Bostik's fix get in this one? if so, that hopefully(!) solved the HUD freezes that have been plaguing us .. every now and then.. for about 6 months.
