Someone had a similar problem a few posts back. Looks like we solved it.

As for uninstalling, it looks like you have the sourceforge 0.40.5 release? I can't help with that.

of course! I should have first asked where I can find the logs to look for myself to see what's happening. Is there a default location for the logs?

Sorry for the basic question but I've had a cursory look and don't see a logs directory.

Ok testing hive

Here is what I am experiencing and seeing in the log files

No HUD being shown just the main box stating "closing this window will exit from the hud"

my HUD Errors log as follows:

Ugh, looks like Hive is a special and unique snowflake. I'll have to think a bit about the best way to handle their tournament tables. Will email you when I figure something out.

I have used fpdb successfully for NL 5-Card Draw MTTs on PokerStars

What symptoms do you get?
What version of fpdb? I'm still using 40.5

Here is the relevant portion of my HUD_config.xml

You may be missing the game_type="tour" line under 5-Card Draw

first thanks for supporting such a great tool for newcomer to online poker!

I am currently playing on a french site named Turbopoker (member of ipoker network). I play CG SH 6max.

I have sucessfully installed and configured fpdb 0.40.5 on windows 7 for Turbopoker using the Ipoker "supported_sites" configuration.

For now, i am able to:
- import hands and draw graphs
- replay hands
- HUD is displaying ok even when using the preferred sit functionnality

Anyway, the "Flop_Mucked" functionnality is not working properly.

After showdown:
- the board is correctly displayed.
- oppenents hands are not displayed at the correct sit, and sometimes are not displayed at all --> very hard to use!!!

Can somebody please help me to setup the mucked card functionnality? Or explain to me how to configure it? For example, does it use the default layout instead of the ipoker_default layout ?

I am quite surprised to hear that mucked cards are displayed over the wrong seat. My understanding of the code is that they take their position from the HUD boxes - so if you have the right stats for each seat in your HUD, mucked cards should be in the right place too.

As for not displaying at all, I think sometimes they get drawn underneath the hud box. This is obviously bad. The new version I linked above might fix this problem.

If the new version does not help, let me know. I could make it possible to configure the mucked card display positions independently of the HUD blocks. Then you could drag the mucked display things to the right place and put them next to the HUD instead of directly on top/behind. It would add some complexity to the config file though, and I would probably need to do some annoying stuff in the HUD display to make it possible to drag placeholder anchors around when no mucked cards are being shown.

I am open to suggestions for improving any part of the mucked card experience.

Are there any requirements when upgrading from the 0.40.5 version? It seems you are using qt, do i need to install some specific lib?

Do i have to make a fresh install instead of upgrading? Is the database scheme the same?

You seem to have figured it out - you can just download, extract and run my thing. It should be completely compatible with 0.40.5 config and database.

By the way everything seems to be working perfectly with cash tables my friend, only tested omaha but Im sure that says it all

So I tried getting this working, finally got it to where it won't close when I open it after editing the Hud file and now I'm getting the MySQL 2002 or 2003 error. Tried looking at the wiki page and did everything it said, still getting it. I looked to make sure MySQL is running and it is, I followed the install instructions, and nothing is really showing up in the error log for fdpg except

"fpdb starting...."

It is probably something stupid, but I'm pretty lost when it comes to this so I've got nothing.

The error states: MySQL client reports: 2002 or 2003 error. Unable to connect - Please that MySQL service has been started.

and I'm using your release candidate. And yes, Windows 7. Sorry, let that information out.

i come back after having tested your rc version of fpdb on the poker site TurboPoker (ipoker network).

Mucked flop display is still broken. But i think i have figured out why it displays hands to the wrong sit.

In the HUD_config.xml file, for 6 seat table ipoker default layout, there is a new field named "hist_seat".
I'm having hard time to understand the meaning of it

But i think that the software erroneously take the "hist_seat" value to decide on which seat to display which mucked hand.

So result is:
- hand displayed on seat 1 belongs to player on seat 1 (hist_seat=1)
- no hand ever displayed on seat 2
- hand displayed on seat 3 belongs to player on seat 2 (hist_seat=3)
- no hand ever displayed on seat 4
- hand displayed on seat 5 belongs to player on seat 3 (hist_seat=5)
- hand displayed on seat 6 belongs to player on seat 4 (hist_seat=6)

I have checked the Hand History format, and it indeed uses the ipoker strange seat numbering for 6 seat tables (1 3 5 6 8 10 instead of 1 2 3 4 5 6)
