It's great to have a success report from 10.10 - I think you're the first. Do let me know if you find something that doesn't work right.

First off, thanks for making this program.

I have a question: Is it possible to import only hands from certain games? I don't want to bloat my db with HE/PLO hands that I track with HEM.

If this isn't natively possible, could I edit HH files in a simple way to make fpdb skip hands i don't want imported?

any help would be appreciated.

I don't think it is possible to do this without some code changes to fpdb. Can you just move the HH files to different folders for HEM and fpdb?

If someone were to implement this feature, how exactly would you like it to work?

I was looking to import part of a huge history file. So unfortunately that does not work.

I would find it useful if you could choose by clicking boxes whether to import HHs of all games or just of chosen ones.

Hi phil_r,

Thanks for your work.
I just wanted to let you know that your Qt version works on linux as well

Do you know if the dependencies to 'python2-numpy' and 'python2-beautifulsoup3' should be removed?

Hey guys, 5dimes recently left their network, to go independent. It is now known as grand poker. The software looks to be the same as Everleaf. I tried to import some hands as Everleaf, but it did not seem to work. The HUD detects the table but does not pop up. Any suggestions?

Brilliant news. Have you used the HUD? I made some linux HUD changes in my latest git commit a few days ago, but I haven't tested it on linux at all.

No, they are both still used - numpy is used in generating graphs, and beautifulsoup is used by a couple of the tournament summary parsers. However I did modify the way parsers are loaded so fpdb will still run without beautifulsoup - it just won't be able to use the parsers that need it (tournament summary parsers for Winamax, P5s and Merge).

OK, sounds like manually editing things is not really a tenable solution.

It probably makes sense to have this as a global setting that applies both to bulk imports and HUD autoimport, right? I'll see what I can do. I'm a bit scared of adding things to the config file, never done that before...

What version of FPDB are you running? What operating system? What poker site?

Email me a hand history: philip.roberts@gmail.com

I will try to figure it out.

I appreciate you helping, for me this would be useful. It's not a big deal though if it doesn't work.

Running 0.40.2 on Win7, PS and FTP.

The default settings for the HUD display only the information for opponents "at that stake". I want to set the default to display information "for all stakes". Where do I do that? This has been the most annoying part of otherwise really good experience.

Search HUD_config.xml for "aggregation_level_multiplier".

aggregation_level_multiplier :
- float value
- defines how many blind levels are included in stats displayed in HUD
- if value is M, stats for blind levels are combined if the higher level
is less than or equal to M times the lower blind level
- defaults to 3, meaning blind levels from 1/3 of the current level to 3
times the current level are included in the stats displayed in the HUD
- e.g. if current big blind is 50, stats for blind levels from big blind
of 16.7 (50 divided by 3) to big blind of 150 (50 times 3) are included
- To include all levels, use a value of "10000"

Hello Phil, I'm having a problem where FPDB where the program stops responding when I try to load my own stats. If I let it keep going then other programs on my computer start to lag after a bit, but when I look in processes it looks like FPDB is using the normal amount of memory (~68,000k). I'm running on windows 7 64 bit using fpdb 0.40.5 and all of my recorded hands are on stars. I have about 70k hands on myself and have only had this problem for a couple of days. I don't have a problem loading the stats of any other player. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? Thank you in advance u have helped so many on here from what i read.

This is a tricky one. Does it ever finish if you leave it running for a while? It might just be that your database has passed some size threshold and now the stats query is choking on the amount of data. I assume you are using the default sqlite database? What does CPU usage look like when this happens?

What happens if you limit the date range so you only get the most recent hands?

If keeping all these hands in your database is important to you, you may have to switch to one of the other database backends. I'm not sure if that will help but it is something to try if you are willing to muck around installing a database .

I tried the date range for 7 days and still got the not responding thing that would last for about 5 minutes then all the other programs i have open becomes non responsive too. Cpu usage reaches 100% at times. Is there anyway to reset fpdb where it starts at 0 hands again with no stats at all so it works. Thanks again Phil.

That's interesting, it sounds like there might be a problem with one of your recent hands.

To reset the database, the most reliable way is thus:

Help->About, License and Copying

There should be a line saying "Your config file is: ..........."

In that directory there should also be a 'database' folder. Close fpdb, delete or rename the database folder and run fpdb again. It should create a fresh new database for you.

Does fpdb still work with SealsWithClubs? It imports hand histories that can be viewed via graph okay, but there are no stats that appear next to players names during games.

Hi guys,
I've got the program on and running. It does auto-import hands correctly and shows me graphs and stats but no stats/numbers show next to players on the tables (PS.IT client), any help?
