Hello and Thanks for this great program.

I am having issue since few days, I can't get the HUD to show up on my tables. I play on pokerstars and hand history in english. OS is windows 7 32 bit Home basic.

It was working few days ago. but now it just stopped showing the HUD. It is still importing the hands but no HUD

I have tried running install_fpdb.bat and fpdb_prerun.exe as someone suggested here but to no avail.

Please help me.

Ok just started using few questions/issues:

The hud pops in and out all the time. I am currently 2 tabling and the hud will just be there for one hand and then be gone for 5 minutes, stick around for a few then disappear again, what the deal?

Which hud layout/format do I need to modify for different types of tables. I play 6 max and full ring tournaments mainly, the options I see to modify (if I understand this correctly) are Holdem_default, holdem_ring_classic, holdem_tour, etc etc, that list of huds. Which one is which and what do all the vague "hold em" ones mean

Installed FPDB 0.40.4 for Mac OSX 10.9.3.
Default setup with Mac Ports.

Seals with Clubs hand histories are not importing.

I configured "Site Settings" with my Screen Name and the following Hand History Path:

/Applications/swc_client-Darwin v0.2.18 10.8.0-i386.app/Contents/MacOS/handhistories

This path contains one sample play file:

HH20140618 NLHE 6max .05-.10 14.txt.

I save and restart FPDB. Import -> Bulk Import appears to do nothing. No errors or messages at all in the console. All Cash menu operations report "INFO: No games returned from database."

Since Hand History Path alone didn't work, I put the same path in Preferences -> Sites -> site SealsWithClubs -> site_path. The path shows up for both site_path and HH_path in ~/.fpdb/HUD_config.xml.

Any idea what's up?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the lack of "support" in this forum given that this is a free program but damn these questions have just been sitting here for over a week without reply, it's sad cause this program is actually really awesome for a free program, its a very powerful tool, just tricky to use.

Here is my problem: somehow when I start auto import the following error occurs:

I have used it for 6 month so far with no problem. After reinstalling ubuntu it stopped working (I tried to use my old HU_config and a new one, it does not change anything). Ubuntu 14.04LTS, but had the same problem with 11.04, 12.04 worked fine, can it really be the problem with OS version?
I am not a python programmer (though I have experience in C/C++), and not a linux expert, since I switched to it recently. So, sorry if this is a trivial fix.

I have no problem having the HUD show up in PokerStars ring game tables. However, it just won't show up when I play a tournament. I have tried editing the config file and deleting the config file, but the HUD works for ring games only.

Could it be because I have only tested it with FPP tournaments? Does fpdb work only with real money tournaments?

Hey, software looks great at a first glance, I just didn't manage to find an option to check session hours for a specific timeperiod. I found them listed on separate days but I would like to have a session hourcount for eg. past month.

Anyone found a way to do this?

At Session Stats display, which is probably what you're talking about, it shows variables "Hands" and "Rate". Rate means hands per hour.

So if you have 12345 hands at a rate of 98, you have played for 12345/98 = circa 126 hours.

To calculate a certain month, set the start and end dates, and then see the last line in the table.

I've also seen problems with certain names of SWC tables. Especially the "half" table which have a 50bb minimum requirement. Is there a way to edit the regular expressions that FPDB uses? I can't seem to find the source anywhere.

EDIT:

Renaming the table from "6half" to "6max" in the hand history file will allow the hands to import but the HUD still doesn't show up. It seems like "6half" just needs to be added to the regular expression.

Planning on releasing a new version sometime next month. If you send me an email (support@pokeit.co) with problem hands attached, I'll make sure to go through and fix the issues before the release.

Im playing on sealswithclub client (not thru browser) and using the latests version of fpdb. its importing hands but no stats are showing for any of the 6max tables im at. can anyone help me out?

Im using it for 5 CD and the HUD is working fine.
Is there a way to get the hand replayer working for 5 Card Draw? I cant replay any hands for 5 CD.
Holdem hands are playable.

At the bottom of HUD_config.xml is this section:
The line without the !-- after the < is the active one.
In addition to editing these lines, it is also necessary to install and configure the appropriate server software.

Wow. What a bummer. Looks like SourceForge has discontinued the wiki application and deleted our wiki with it. Oh well, it was horribly out of date anyway. At some point i'd like to move everything over to github where the main development tree is hosted anyways (https://github.com/ChazDazzle/fpdb-chaz)

Hi guys,

My HUD is no longer working.

Fpdb takes on a few hands and then stops doing so.

(Afterwards, I am able to bulk import though.)

This means the HUD never gets a chance to kick in.

It all seems to have started when I changed my HUD preferences for 7 stud. This may have nothing to do with it.

Your help much appreciated.

Does the problem go away if you revert to the HUD_config.xml.backup?

Be sure to make a copy of your existing HUD_config.xml first, though.

You may also want to use a file-compare utility to see what is different between the two.

You could also try a few hands with the default HUD_config to see if it works with that.

I finally figured it out. I had to shift my fpdb back to my hard drive because the HUD could not access the info required (I had fpdb in my portable drive).

I'm not a developer, so I'm not able to translate the error log.
I'm guessing though, that you have a problem in your HUD_config.xml file.

Did you try using the default or the backup?

If not, try the backup first, then the default.
The default is HUD_config.xml.example and should be in the pyfpdb directory in your installation directory.

If you have to use the default, it might be worthwhile to create a new database to run the test on.

Play a few hands, and if all works, then let us know.

Once you're back working, you can always import the test hands into your primary database.

Could you explain how I go about using the default or backup?

I am nonplussed by that.

I do know how to get to the files you mention.

I can open the HUD_config and read what it says but I cannot open up the back up file as windows tells me it does not know which program created it.
