I had the same problem - I had FPDB running, I'd started HUD/Autoimport and when I joined a table I got a little window that said 'closing this closes the HUD' or something similar - when I did close it the HUD appeared. I've only run the thing once on FTP but I'll probably play a bit later today and I'll work out exactly what I did to get it running and let you know.

Ok thanks. Question for you. what Operating system are you running and what version of fpdb did you download fpdb-0.39.997.tar.gz or fpdb-0.39.997.exe ?

I'm running windows (xp on this computer I think) and downloaded the .exe file.

But this evening I had the problem you were having - the HUD just wasn't displaying - actually it was but it was displaying in the FTP Lobby. I tried restarting the HUD a few times but it just kept opening in the Lobby - I have no idea why or how to change that. Nor can I understand why it worked ok yesterday and today does this - I spent about quarter of an hour fiddling with the HUD and not concentrating on the game I was playing.

It was the main full tilt lobby - going to try again in a bit and see if we can get it working - I didn't try logging out of Full Tilt and logging back in to start a new session cos I was playing but I did wonder if that would solve things given that it had worked fine the night before.

A new snapshot is available for testing - 0.39.998

This version:
> adds support for seals with clubs
> searches all hand-history subfolders when the hud is active
> should prevent occassional problems where the hud attaches to the Full Tilt lobby
> has a few other improvements too

This version includes database changes, so the database will need to be recreated and reimported.

Weird. Extracted fine for me using WinRAR.

I downloaded it a second time, and was then able to unzip and install v0.39.997. Deleted v0.39.998

There does not appear to be a Seals with Clubs option on the site preferences page.

Will try again tomorrow.

Sounds like you need to recreate your config file & rebuild your database. Easiest way to do this using the default sqlite database on windows is to find the fpdb appdata folder (usually C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\fpdb but you can find it by clicking on Help->About, License Copying) and delete it. A fresh config & database will be created on restart. See http://****************/apps/mediawik..._Configuration

Noob here, just trying out the latest version for use with Seals With Clubs. Is anyone else having trouble?

The hands are importing fine but the HUD doesn't show up. I've been all over the wiki but, have no idea what to do.

This is the first time I have installed fpdb (0.39.999) and am using the default sqlite config on a windows 7 pc. Also running fpdb.exe as administrator.

There is an error in the fpdb.exe log:

importer : ERROR Failed to send hand to HUD: [Errno 22] Invalid argument

I have no idea how to fix this though.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I already tried downloading the 0.39.999 version, but when i run it, it says "an invalid db version or missing tables have been detected". So i deleted the HUD_config.xml and restarted the program, but get the same error message each time i try.
