Go into Help->About. That shows you the path to the config file. The database is by default in the database subdirectory of that directory. However if an update requires recreating the database you still have to do that. You could use a different db file for the new version and import step by step as you have time. Until finished you can then keep playing the old version.

Hi. I downloaded and imported hands from the PS 2-7 triple draw games where ive been playing some this year. Problem is, i know ive played more and i know ive won more than what`s showing after i imported, so obviously something`s missing. How can i find/fix it?

I think, most likely you no longer have all of your hands. The default option for PokerStars is to only keep hand histories for a certain number of days before deleting them. You could also try playing a session of triple draw. If the results are inaccurate then it's a sign of a larger problem.

I deleted .904 off my system.

Same problem with .905.

I still can't get no ring-game stats or graphs. Well, not really important. I basically use the program for the HUD, however this isn't really working well anymore. It ran perfect for a few weeks, but since some days it would stop to update the stats and fail to display arriving players. I then stop and restart autoimport or even fpdb, but usually that doesn't help and i have to restart my laptop.

Anyone having problems with slow Tournament results import, or problems with the HUD not displaying: a new build is available:

This version is 100% compatible with the existing version 0.29.905 configuration and database.

If the hud would not start in version 0.29.905, it would be helpful if you could post here if this new version was successful or not. Thanks.

HUD does not work on this realease for me. Setup is shared with previous working release 0.30 + git.

and older 0.30 + git ( cant find it anymore as a link- it was the version first implementing a fix for the January Pokerstars Hand History format change ), so the January 10, 2012 release.

Yup, HUD was working fine about 5 days ago, but it's not showing up ever since. Sometimes when i'm 4-tabling, it shows up on one table only, and sometimes it just doesn't show up at all. Tried both versions, same problem!

I had working fdpb then poker stars changed their hand histories and my life became a misery.

I currently have 0.29.905 on my system (Windows XP service pack 3) but I cannot get the batch file to run.

Any thoughts?

I am now using .904 and I have got it to open up fdpb but the hud still does not display.

try running fpdb as admin.
Watch out for some messages when going back and fort with newer/older versions. Sometimes you need to go to the Database menu and click Create or Recreate Tables. Takes a few minutes, but does the trick for me.

how could I remove fpdb completely. I am using Ubuntu and fpdb does not work anymore (I don't know why). Now I want to reinstall it, but first I have to uninstall. (I thought it would be enough to remove the fpdb folder, but obviously I am wrong because that didn't work out)

Update for those having problems with 0.29.xxx

We are making progress, and now understand what is causing many of the "fpdb or hud not working correctly" problems. Thanks to Freeman_ in Portugal who has helped us to discover the reasons.

Hopefully the following information will help most people who are currently having problems:

a) for those people who have fpdb and hud working normally, but find that Tournament result import is very slow:
Please install version 0.29.905.1

b) if fpdb is starting normally, but you don't get a hud for some (or all) tables on Pokerstars:
Please change the pokerstars client language settings (language/play in) to be "English". This should allow the hud to discover the poker table. fpdb will need a software change to allow players to play in their local language on Pokerstars.

c) if you use Vista or Win7:
The windows account used to play poker, and to run fpdb must have administrator rights. This is set in the control panel.

d) if fpdb is starting normally, but no hands are imported:
Please check that the hand histories are being written, and that they are in English. On pokerstars, these settings is in options/instant hand history options.

e) if your windows username contains a character which is NOT in the english alphabet (e.g. accented characters or other local language characters):
You will probably be having problems making fpdb work correctly. We will need to make software changes to fix this - these changes are a priority, but will take some time to identify and fix. The short term work-around is to try fpdb using a windows account which has English characters only, (and is an administrator account on Vista/Win7).

If you still have difficulty,
Please try a fresh configuration file. (this guide http://****************/apps/mediawik..._Configuration should help)

i'm using the 0.26 version of fpdb on Ubuntu, and i want to upgrade to the latest version (0.30)...
i tried to install the "python-fpdb_0.29.904-1_all.deb" with the Ubuntu Software Center and the terminal without success...the USC crasch, and the terminal says "E: couldn't find package"....i think ther's a problem with this package...
Howto upgrade fpdb using the tar.gz package in Ubuntu?
