We have an import filter for Carbon. Carbon is on the Merge network. This import filter is not well tested.
Were those results from bigbetpoker.com?

How to test:

1. Clear your database by selecting "create/recreate tables".
2. Look at 1 file and calculate your profit by looking at the first and last hands.
3. Bulk import just that file.
4. Look at the stats viewer to check FPDB profit.
5. Repeat

If you send me any files that do not agree, I will try to fix. You could also send me the whole session, if that is better.

- clear database "create or recreacte tables"
- Open big bet poker cashier = 176.59 $
- Play 4 table CG "NLHE 4"
- Close session
- cashier = 178.77 $
- profits = 2.18 $

- open FPDB
- Bulk import the new history name 20100912
- open session stat
- profits in session stat for 1068 hand is 14.08 $
- open player stat profits = 14.08 bb/100 = 32.96
- create graph attached in text of forum

I'm getting close on the time issues. I made the changes to the configuration.py file which (after trial and error) got them to agree with Stars day end/start.

My Stars HH's always start their new day at midnight Eastern time, which is 9pm on the west coast. My FPDB graphs start their day at the same time, and the stats start their new day at 9pm local, which is fine.

The only problem I can't get to adjust is the HUD. No matter what the suggestions have been, the hud always changes stats at 5pm local (GMT-7) on the tables. If I could crack that one, we got it made!

The session stat page is broken, and should not be used.

The Merge network plugin has not been tested at all.

I can help, but I need specific examples to track down where the accounting error is happening.

Can you perform the above test with only 1 table (no reloads) and send me the file with the same information above please?

I happened to notice the following weird stat on Stars on the Omaha08 game. I played and bet and it showed my "vpip" as "0/1" when the hand was over. I didn't play the next hand and it showed ""0/2". Here's the hand detail to see if you can explain. Is vpip only figured preflop? This was my BB.

In fpdb VPIP is a preflop/3rd only stat, so when you check your option in the BB that is a 0/1. I think most people use it as a preflop stat. This makes sense to me anyway.

VPIP is "Voluntarily Put in Pot", it means you made some action other than fold/place forced bet, pre/3rd st. Blinds and Antes are forced bets, and therefore are not VPIP +

a friend of mine said bulk import was not working for him, so I decided to try it out. I requested last 10k hands on FTP, it came in a single 9-10MB file. Then I re/created DB and tried bulk importing, it ran about 5 minutes and then I gave up figuring it wasnt working. Should I wait longer?

Can you send me the first 5 hands of the file please?

Also - The bulk importer is memory hungy - i recommend breaking the file up into < 3M chunks.

We are not importing correctly from the downloaded file. I just downloaded some hands from FTP to investigate this. The file for downloaded HHs is different from the one normally saved. We'll have a fix for this in the next snapshot or sooner if you want to grab from git. You don't need to send hands to sorrow, he can have some of mine .

ya the problem is that the correct HH doesnt have an empty line after the 1st line of HH but the downloaded HH has an empty line between 1st line and Seat1: .....

Who wrote the hud.py? Since I've got this time issue down to everything agreeing except it, there must be a way to adjust it by 4 hours, that will make all files, stats, graphs and hopefully the hud change at the same time.

I just committed a patch that _might_ allow command line importing, until I test with a real file I can't be sure.

Hud.py relies on quite a few things. The HudCache is dynamically generated based on an sql query, and updated by the import code. The actual query and display is handled within the hud code.

I tried the latestest version "fpdb-0.20.906anyCPU" with Vista64 and it works great.
But the Hud only appears at cash game tables. At Sngs or tourneys there is no Hud.
Is it not working or is it my fault ?

What site are you playing? The HUD is fine on STTs and MTTs with PokerStars and Full Tilt. It has problems on Party. The other sites are probably a bit hit and miss. I'm working on this now, and would like to get tournament support sorted ASAP. One way to help me is to send me the contents of the poker client title bar for tournaments that don't get a HUD. On Full Tilt they look like this(you can just be observing):
It is better to copy/paste the title bars, but I don't know how to do that in windows. Sending me titles for tournaments that don't work will be a big help.

There was an update today.

That is the 1st line of a hand history, right? The client title bar is the is the little colored thingie at the top of the window. The one on the PokerStars lobby says:

The HUD finds that one OK.

Did today's update break finding some client tables on Stars?

I played 10-20 games today and not one had a HUD. I closed FPDB a few times and I was unable to get a HUD to show up on the table. It was able to autoimport but it did not place a HUD on any table.

I can try again tomorrow.

O and that is the first line of a HH. The top part of my tables are always different. They are the same if I enlarge the tables but I cascade 17-20 tables at a time usually and sometimes the top only a little bit will show up on the table.

It shouldn't matter howm uch is actually shown, but we do need to know WHAT is contained within the titlebar .. what the window title's text is.

The Hud problem was on PS. But i solved it. The window title text is also localized. Switching PS client language from german to english solved it. Now HUD works for all kinds of tables.

In german, title bar text says:
