You should upgrade, we fixed some severe bugs since that version

Other than trial and error how do I get that information to you? The error log in the deb distro does not have any data on that.

But I think most of the recent trouble has been a PL Hold'em tourn.

Try importing that particular tourney just by itself. If it fails, we have a first breakage-causing file to work on.

Some parsing errors produce logfile entries or error messages that indicate the file (or even the hand) that caused the error. Unfortunately, not yet all errors produce such a usable error report. Seems you are running into one where your only choice is trial&error. To speed up the process of identifying the broken hand you could start by splitting your history folder in half, and then doing that again and again until you arrive at the broken file(s).
I will try to add code to make identifying the broken file easier, but to be able to test it I of course need a file that causes breakage...

So we're back to square one - either you spend the time to identify the particular file(s) that cause problems, or you send us your whole history. I don't want to advise either option, you simply have to make a choice by your priorities. However I will endeavour to not just fix the immediate bug that causes this breakage, but also to put in a general error catcher that will make it easy to identify the broken hand, to avoid giving people this bad choice.

Not sure what these mean:
-------------
hud : ERROR *** Exception in HUD_main::idle_func() *** (<type 'exceptions.KeyError'>, KeyError(2,), <traceback object at 0x03A11DA0>)
hud : ERROR File "HUD_main.pyw", line 142, in idle_func

hud : ERROR File "Mucked.pyc", line 382, in create
-------------

HUD: Tips (mouse hovering stats) and right click menus feel too sticky, any way to lighten em up? (eg, After i un-hover mouse pointer, tip should go away as well, and, when right clicking the hud menu, or icon in systray, the window stays open stubbornly).

{using 904 on vista}

Does it work with pokerstars.FR ?

Nothing appeared when I tried to use it, but may have skipped some parts in installing it...

Is there a tutorial for Ps.FR somewhere?

Thanks

I haven't seen a PS.fr hand history yet, so I dont know. I did make FTP.fr work earlier today. If you can send me a hand history or two I should be able to make the required changes.

I'm not 100% sure what the issue you are working on is, but if you need to quickly determine which HH file is breaking on bulk import, I think you can put a line like "print file" after line 281 in fpdb_import.py:

Code:
$ grep -C1 "print file" fpdb_import.py
        for file in self.filelist:
	    print file
(stored, duplicates, partial, errors, ttime) = self.import_file_dict(db, file
This prints the filename before importing, so the last filename printed before the error should be the one that it choked on.

Just realized that you might need to use the -x switch to send output to the console for that to work.

Sincere apologies - I should have mentioned that the hh files need to be zipped before sending. Mail clients have a habit of translating the character sets. There are at least 2 Euro symbols, and (I discovered with FTP.fr) about 7 hyphen characters depending on the character set being used.

Could you resend please?

Sorrow.

Also that will not work for people who are using the Windows exe installer which is unfortunately most users. But its a good tip for Linux and Windows source users

Do you know what you were doing when this error happened, or whether any problem occured at that time?

Only have them in my gmail attachement now, so i doubt that downloading them and sending them again zipped will solve the issue, since they must already have been translated by gmail?

I'm at work, but I can send them tonight I think...

Anyway tried to download and send them again, just in case.
If it's still wrong, i'll send again tonight

Cheers

Massive Grunch:

Can I use FPDB to display my tourney results versus all my opponents?

e.g. Me vs Player A = +$180
Me vs Player B = -$150

Plus show # of games played, sort by buy-in etc.

No, not yet. You can only view the results per player (each tourney of a given type/stake/currency/etc is added together and displayed as a row).
But I opened a bug for this on our bugtracker so we don't forget: https://****************/apps/mantisb...view.php?id=34

I must be being stupid, I can't seem to display this.

Under "Player Stats" I have configured as follows:

All players ticked
Site chosen
Game chosen
Tourney Radio button selected
Number of players set
From Start date set (To date left empty)

Then I hit Refresh Stats and I get a list which is each tourney by blind level.....

Are you using stable or a snapshot? It's called Tourney Player Stats and is new so only available in snapshots yet.

I'm using an exe download so I guess this is not available.

I will have a scout round and see what is involved in upgrading via snapshot.

Thanks.

Snapshots are available as exe installers, too. You can find them on our sf download page.

Thanks, got it installed on both my laptops.

Should all the cells of stats be filled in?

I have no ITM, Finishing Position, $Won, ROI or $/Tourney data, just the game, limit, currency, buy-in, fee, name and total number played is complete.

Is it planned to show all opponents overall stats like for cash?

At the moment I guess I can replace my own name to get other player stats.
