Hello i have a very frustrating problem. I wanted to change hud so i backuped HUD_config file and started to mess up orginal. The main problem is that only 1 hud winow opens. I have changed the original file with backup but nothing changed. Tryed to make new changes but again nothing......

I've had issues with this - usually by having either a blank or a repeat stat in the list.

I suspect that you're backup file isn't actually being copied to the correct place.

The first line of the log file should indicate which file is actually being opened.

I tried the bulk import by importing one Razz FTP HH.
The command prompt shows
Global lock taken....

and when I cancel it
bulk import aborted - global lock not available.

Sounds familiar but I don't know how to solve it.

my brain isa melting. i am trying to import HHs from everleaf and I get a message Global lock taken...
importer :ERROR Hand processed but empty

i am using the bulk import option. idk, it the DB seemed to download OK, but just can't import HHs. I have tried converting them, changing location, etc. and nothing.

Is there a way to basically turn off the importing of tournaments only. I rarely play tournaments and would prefer that they not be imported into the database. Now, I can't play cash and tour both to avoid it.

Yes - The sourceforge forums just aren't functional enough for us. They are slow, the email notifications are intermittent, and simple composition functions like quoting are either broken or non-existent. A single thread here is still a lot more functional.

Play money games aren't well supported (but i think they parse), but i'm suspecting you have the hand history files being output in German (?)

thank you for looking into my thread. The HH output is set to english, so is the pokerstars client. I'll give a it shot with a real money game and report back here.

At this point 2.5 and 2.6 are both fine. So probably grab the most recent 2.6 that is available for your OS. NOT 3.x

It will be a good long while before we support 3.x. Some of the libraries that we use have not been ported to 3 yet.

Ah, I just chatted with someone who is having the same problem. The problem was in his HUD_config.xml. Fixed it by renaming his HUD_config.xml and starting over by copying the HUD_config.xml.example.

Did you download the .exe? If so you have to get the .tar.gz and install all the darn libs etc if you are going to fix this.

what's the difference between € hand histories and $ hand history?
if it's only the currency can i replace € into $ and make fpdb work? it is possible?

Right now you'd need to remove 'EURO' everywhere too.

I've still not figured out the magical regex sequence to match the € yet - I spent about an hour trying to figure it out about a week ago and made some progress - getting it to match in an isolated regex test script, but it kept falling over when I merged it back into the parser.

Its pretty high on my todo list, but real life(tm) is taking away from both poker play and fpdb at the moment.

Hello

I got FPDB bulk import work after changed pokerstar handfistory file from UTF-8 to ansi. I dont get autoimport work. What I might screwed up is that i have used some scandic letters on my nickname.

On cmd windows it says that unable to read file with any codec in list! C:\prog......\handhistory\xxxx

HUD-ERRORS.txt had nothing.

From HUD-log.txt

I just installed fpdb. I follow the steps to set it up with MySQL. Seemed to setup fine. I go to bulk import my hh files which are exported from PTStud. it gives me this:
"importer ERROR Hand processed but empty"
it does this thousands of times for every file...

any ideas?

It is best to compress the files with 7zip (free download) because it reliably preserves the character encoding (which is darn important--the default Windows file compression tool does not preserve the encoding). Also don't edit the files with your text editor, because that will often change the encoding. I think vim (free download) doesn't change the encoding.

BTW: if these files are huge, is there a way to export just a few hands at a time?

It still errors on 2 of the hands, the fix for FTP should be very close.
